PS: Try using something other than MintEye for captcha, it sucks. (And sometimes doesn't even load)

This thread is always sinking down and no body see it, thus I decide to give away DVCs also here. everybody reply your devcoin address here will also receive 5 DVCs, I will send from my own, not touching the donations on the faucet site Smiley

Nice. Spreading coins is like handing out pamphlets about DVC. Smiley

Why are devcoins so cheap? What algorythm are they based on?

They are SHA256 based (merge-minable with Bitcoin). The reason devcoins are so cheap is because of the high rewards - 50000 coins are generated per block. Of these 50000 coins, 5000 go to the miners and 45000 are distributed to various open source developers and writers. At the time of this writing, bitcoin rewards are 25 per block, and litecoin is 50. So really, if you want to compare the value to other coins you should compare the value of 100 or 1000DVC.

That's really a good answer for this FAQ.

Algorithms have nothing to do with it.

They are cheap because no one knows about them, they have been up to $10 ea before though.

Hi,

I'm developing a faucet for Devcoin (perhaps the 1st faucet for DVC?Cheesy), and the site is
http://faucet.d.evco.in or http://d.evco.in/faucet/
(I hope this url is easy to remeber  Wink )

The giveaway is based on round. Currently a round is 20 submits(this number might change in the future), and 100 DVCs per round (which means currently every submit gets 5 DVC). An address and IP can only submit once per round. Repeated submits will be ignored.

This site is now on beta test. You're most welcome to try the faucet.
There might be some issue or bug, feel free to contact me if that happens.

If you'd like to help, please donate dvc to:16yuxxtonf9fY8u7XCCg9MVSrZQ159eFRs

Now that the 20 submits of the first round successfully sent out, it's a good status the faucet running now.

Here we comes the next round~ Everyone got your DVCs could submit once again now.
So the faucet worked?

Yes, now I can confirm it is stable running, and give away is automaticly process every 20 submits.

Nice
