There's several forks of the chain, yobit does not allow withdrawals or deposits, Globalcoin is dead.
Dev is a nut. Instead of doing really great things he participates in some stupid penny airdrops, promotions, whatever.

Happy 5 Year Anniversary. RIP.

GLC is currently minting 0.02441406 GLC per block. At some point the reward halving will cause it to drop to a value where the network will ignores it completely. The money supply will freeze at that point (not that it's growing by much now, anyway).

Eventually the reward subsidy calculation will wrap around and start the reward cycle again at 100 GLC, but since GLC doesn't use aggressive reward halving that could be many many years ahead.

Site back up and updated. Forum is being built and store has been rebuilt and will open again soon. Other services are in the pipe line and will be announced early 2014. As orco said i've been very busy with work recently, but do not worry I still get working on things as soon as I get home and work & stay up till the early hours. Thanks to all the supporters, site op's and traders for keeping the network/price strong. Hopefully with the new forum we can build an even bigger community! I will be checking in alot more with updates and supporting you guys in any issues.
Merry Christmas

You know Global Holdings is a complete scam, a ponzi that has just taken the GlobalCoin website over and then pretending to be the owners of this huge company using new blockchain tech and they are selling this to poor gullible fools. They are not the developers, the developers left years ago and there's been no updates to critical security issues for the core code.

The Global Holdings "company" has elaborate and expensive parties in China getting fools to buy "Global Holdings stock", these scammers have made a lot of money, check their youtube videos to see the effort and turnouts to their scam events. No GlobalCoin changes hands for these people, they are buying $10,000 USD packages of stocks and get a piece of paper, they are promised stock splits to give them double, triple or quadruple their money. Again no GlobalCoin is traded here with this company, they are only using the coin as the face of their blockchain hype after somehow acquiring the globalcoin domain name, likely due to the developers letting it expire because they left this project ages ago.

GlobalCoin is barely alive with 1-2mhs of scrypt hashrate, that's NO security. No transactions take place and next to no trades occur on the only exchange it's available on. The coin can be attacked and effectively destroyed by just one miner having that lower hashrate too.

Shame on these scammers.

p.s and to add insult to injury, the number 1 GLC wallet is in possession of nearly 40% all coins, which are actually the stolen GlobalCoin from the hacked and now defunct Crypsty exchange, the hacker has been moving them recently too so they aren't just sitting there, if there's any sort of buy volume you can guarentee that won't last long when they dump.

TLDR; STAY AWAY

@Cartman I would take your pool offline as to not aid the scammers in anyway too.
