Sorry, about that. Satoishi is the normal Japanese spelling of the name (Anglicized), so mentally I always spell it this way.
The mispelling of the name, by the way, is evidence that Satoshi is not actually Japanese, but is a Westerner masquerading as a Japanese (Mark Karpeles anyone?).
I don't know Japanese, but there's something I wonder...
Searching Google for “satoshi -nakamoto -bitcoin” (so, other people named Satoshi) gives 19 million results, while “satoishi -nakamoto -bitcoin” gives 417 thousand.
Searching on Wikipedia, there's a list of people named Satoshi, but the Satoishi page is non-existent.
So, if “Satoishi” is the accepted anglicized version, why is it much less frequent?
Because that is the pronunciation but Satoshi is the preferred spelling?
I like your avatar. It is very wise statement.
