I have not heard about that man, he does not appear to be a celebrity in the world of politics or economics, but the point that caught my attention is age.
It is good to see people over the age of 60 thinking about investing in Bitcoin or are open to doing so.
I will read his book to see the nature of his thoughts, although the page on Wikipedia indicates that he is a sharp character.

When successful boomers like him start to buy bitcoin you know mainstream adoption is coming. More & more people are starting to open their eyes to the scam of fiat currencies & normal banking.

Bitcoin is coming!

Obviously,he an "anti-bank" guy.No wonder that he is looking to financial alternatives.Having a bank deposit nowadays is like giving free money to the banks and getting nothing in return.
I don't believe that this guy will popularize Bitcoin and bring new people in the Bitcoin army.
Anyway,he is a living example that old people can be pro-Bitcoin and buying BTC is not that difficult for a 70 year old guy.

I read one part of his biography from the Wiki link, and according to everything written there, he is at least a controversial person.

On 20 September 2013, UKIP withdrew the party whip from Bloom after he hit journalist Michael Crick in the street with a conference brochure, threatened a second reporter, and at the party's conference jokingly referred to his female audience as sluts. Nigel Farage, the UKIP party leader, has been cited by Channel 4 News to say that "the trouble with Godfrey is that, he is not a racist, he's not an extremist or any of those things and he's not even anti-women, but he has a sort-of-rather old fashioned territorial army sense of humour which does not translate very well in modern Britain".
Bloom was removed as Honorary President of the Ludwig von Mises Centre in December 2017, the organisation citing his comments on Twitter]

I believe that he also has his audience, although his views are not generally well received in the UK - so I don't see him as a celebrity in politics who could be a role model for others to start investing in Bitcoin. They say that it is not very popular with the female part of the audience, but considering what he called them, it shouldn't be surprising.

Bring this kind of matter up here is a very good thing, but I am not surprised again, bitcoin has been a coin that have been adopted by people already, we only want more adoption now, with more celebrities buying it, many other people will see the good reason why they should all buy bitcoin.
