it's true that we should be able to protect our crypto assets and not be too exposed because we don't know what someone's mind is like. Although blockchain technology is a safe and protected technology, we still have to be more vigilant and careful. actually not only in the crypto world, but in other businesses we also have to be careful with our wealth because when talking about crime it can happen anytime and anywhere. use the crypto business properly and appropriately because we still need privacy on our own crypto assets.

It is not just about Bitcoin, there has never been a time that it is good to brag about assets that you own.
As an investor, it is always good to  keep everything you are doing to yourself and not reveal it to your friends or anyone, except people you trust very well.
You totally make sense but there's no reason what so why anyone will brag about having something or money because before he does someone else had it before him. Why the brag.
The topic reminds me of a friend that kills his best friend because he wanted to steal his Bitcoin holding so it, not security advice to publicly say I own Bitcoin either online or offline.

It's definitely not safe for a bitcoin holder to expose his bitcoin holding on the public because that will only result into making a crime. Just imagine how hard today to make a living and there you are, flaunting your expensive asset so expect that anyone will get interested on it and might think of making an action how to hack your own account. Things that are of high value should never be announced in the crowd. That is if you want to live safe and out from troubles. Think first its consequences before doing it.

Man, it really doesn't make sense as to why people go and brag about holding crypto currencies despite the situation of the world right now. Even if they did not know that crypto related crimes are increasing, it should be common sense that tells them how stupid it is to flaunt your crypto currency assets when many are trying so hard to get their hands on these assets since some are desperate due to this pandemic. Specially when you own a bag that has a considerably huge value in terms of usd! I hope no one ever follows such bad examples. I'd really hate for it to hapoen to anyone.

Do you know some people who are new to doing new things?
Have you met such persons ever? Then you may realise what excites them to flaunt their holdings of not just crypto, anything they buy or get (to learn) new in their life. Some people have the habits of sharing everything, which is not good for their personal life because they do not like to keep secrets and it turns to be dangerous sometimes for them. Getting a bag full of USD snatched away by thieves is not a mistake of that person as he didn't even tell anyone about it, but the awareness of scammers as they knew that the guy is holding such thing. So sometimes, even if you don't brag about your holdings, scammers try their tactics to find out about you and then they attack you with a plan.

If you come to think of it, even if you are not holding bitcoin, its not still proper to brag what you have because people will only see you boasting around, and that will create negative remarks on you. So how much more if you are publicly saying that you own bitcoin. You are only giving hints for scammers and give them chances to make crime on you. I suggest to keep it private especially that it has higher value than fiat so expect that anyone would be tempt to steal it from you even if we know from the start that it would be very impossible to steal a bitcoin.

Sounds dumb but there are actually people whose like this on where they do really likes to brag their holdings without minding if theyre on public or simply with the crowd.
They would only just realize that things that they've been doing was wrong  when theres something happened to them  which is really always be a main scenario on these kind of cases. You should think off about your safety or security because you dont know on whose behind you and just hearing off on what you are saying.
If they do know that you do have money then automatically that sparks out criminal interest or intent.

Nowadays we need to be careful when publicly admitting to owning Bitcoin. A lot of crypto traders have been receiving threats as in the case of Daniel one of the guys from Chart Champions.

Things are escalating as, apparently, a 14-year-old kid from England got kidnapped after bragging on social media posts about having lots of money made from trading cryptocurrencies.

That's why I don't like anyone to know I'm in the Crypto business.

There are lots of people who are wishing you bad, but you wouldn’t know this. So, that’s why you shouldn’t be talking about things you own or how much you have in the public, because making such statements is going to make you a target for them and get you into trouble. This is not the first time I have seen or heard a story like this, there have been one where someone was robbed of their Bitcoin. So this is nothing new, you have to always be careful about it.

I don't think this issue solely pertains to Bitcoin. Who would go on the streets and call out publicly that he or she owns a shit ton of jewelries or valuable watches? Or who would say that they have a bag of money in their basement? I think it is much more basic than saying that claiming to have Bitcoin is dangerous. I would just not brag about my wealth or specific possessions in general.

Bragging any wealth or asset in public specially in social media even if it is not about bitcoin were not necessarily advisable but it's a person's choice if he/she would like to brag his asset. But I believe that no one wants to make it in public because of the possible threat that it may give to a person. However it is undeniable that owning bitcoin could be a good measure that a person has a wealth that they kept in and due to the fact that bitcoin is now known by many and they know the value of this token it is indeed make sense to make it private.

Having a crypto business does not need to be told to anyone, including on social media, because it will provoke criminal action. It's better if we just tell family members, of course social media is an unsafe place for various things including talking about Bitcoin business income. We recommend discussing Bitcoin business in this forum because it is a safe Bitcoin discussion forum. With this incident, we can be more careful with the Bitcoin we have and store it in a secure wallet.

When it comes to bragging about what you have on public platforms ,I believe this is not only a red flag for cryptocurrencies but even in real life this could be inviting trouble to yourselves. Maybe people who talk about crypto in such a manner are doing so to provide proof and help others believe and not look like it's mere speculation but if it comes to personal safety let's try to limit what we bring out to the public as not everyone will accept or agree with what we do.

Bragging publicly is not advisable but it is also a self choice of a person if he would going to show his asset in public or not. With the current situation of the worlds economy exposing your asset publicly will only give a reason for you to be threaten whenever you're going to go outside of your home. This kind of scenario is not really only a red flag for crypto but in all aspects of financial aspect of a person like fitas. SO it is better to keep it privately and let other people know nothing about your asset.

No body but my father knows that I know of Bitcoin and other Cryptos and own a little.

He never talks about it to anyone and neither do I.

I treat Bitcoin as treasure. If you find treasure, you don't go around telling people about it.

This is another reason I prefer using non-KYC exchanges to buy BTC for I don't want no one to know that I am buying and holding Crypto.

No need announcing  publicly about you having some bitcoin for sell or you need to buy some bitcoin. There are lots of exchange where bitcoin can be bought and sold at your favorite rate. It's a harmful and risky by looking for to do exchange with publicly. Bitcoin is so easy now to get in a very safe way.

I agree with your thinking. Today's world is getting crueler, especially in economic problems that are not good. Money is usually the main problem. Bitcoin is high in value and can make someone rich, therefore you need to be careful in your attitude. Many people are hunting for Bitcoin today, therefore, some of them are willing to do anything, even crime, to have it. Therefore it is better if you do not indulge in indulgence if you are incorporated in cryptocurrency, this is better.
Bitcoin is very precious and has a very high value for now so if anyone knows you are keeping bitcoin, you might be in danger later on. Criminals will never sleep thinking about this and they will surely find ways how to get that bitcoin by hook or by crook. So if you know you are holding bitcoin these days, better make yourself anonymous and never tell someone or publicize that you are storing bitcoin in your wallet. That is if you still want to live more, better keep your mouth shut.

Sounds too dangerous for all of us so i don't want anyone to know i am a crypto player and have a decent amount of money from playing it my mom always told me she told i should not post on social networking sites to let many people know we have a lot of money because this is very easy to be taken advantage of or people with bad intentions will find us like a child's condition 14 years old is very dangerous now. I hope the innocent boy will be released and safe from the kidnappers.
