UPDATE:

I was wrong about just_me. i imported my wallet at blockchain.info and sent the funds with no problem. Sorry for the false accusation against just_me, i was wrong. he/she is not a scammer, but rather an honest individual who held up their end of the bargain.

You may want to edit your previous posts.

r3wt ?

According to my records I see 31 or more confirmations
on the bitcoins I sent you.

THIRTY ONE CONFIRMATIONS, r3wt.

Surely, if there are such a thing as 'fake bitcoins' wouldn't the
bitcoin network have detected it before there was 31 confirmations
or more?

Like I said, I am new to bitcoins, but I sure hope that after 31
or more confirmations, they would catch any possible problems.

Hopefully whatever the problem is at your end of things,
that things will work out so you can send your bitcoins again.

But I sent you what should have been bitcoins that I paid real money for, so please
stop accusing ok.

well, just_me there seems to be a problem with them they don't show up in the blockchain unless i go to unspent out puts. it shows 113 confirmations. maybe its just an error of some type. I wanna believe you its just wierd.

shit happens

This is what keeps on happening however I will restart client and it says  up to date then few hours later will happen again and again and client does not update correctly. Whats going on here. Never seen this happen in a client before on any other coins.

I have same with dgc, gld and wdc wallets

Sometimes the wallet seems to be trying to re-sync:  there is a rogue node out there which is broadcasting a wrong blockchain.
... the other nodes catch it and ban their IP automatically after a while. Even when showing the wrong info. it does not affect any wallet function- it still responds as up to date and makes transactions normally.
You usually only see this on coins with low hashrate: it is happening to a few others.
Once the network has enough nodes/miners, we won't have this issue, because likely other nodes will ban them before you even see it.

Thanks for that Majormax,

Every few hour or ever 20 to 30 min my client says downloading over 30k blocks and does not want to update. Even tho I know my client is up to date it does not want to download newer blocks.

Updated 2 hours on

Current number of blocks 357575
Estimate number of 357575 Blocks

2 hour later 16562 number of blocks

This is beginning to do my head in blogs randomly vanish and re downloaded and then poof gone again I am not deleting anything out of the folder and this is something that is continuing to happen and have downloaded latest version

For the record I traded 31,862 GLD for a total of 0.398 BTC with just_me. All transactions were completed smoothly and I would definitely trade again in the future.  Grin

I am not buying GLD at this time because of running out of bitcoins.

I have bought all the GLDcoins I can afford at this time. I would like to thank everyone who sold me GLD, for helping me to get in early on this speculative opportunity. Grin
