so how do u propose to capitalize on such "fair" prices?

how about this?  why don't YOU buy my 24 oz from me since you DO know the real price.  i will sell them to you, seriously.

Hold physical metal.

I'm fully committed currently, and I'd actually prefer that others hold physical metal as well. If it's already owned, so much the better. It wouldn't do anyone any good to be the only one left standing financially, just as Bitcoin wouldn't be beneficial if one person held every unit. Think of your remaining 24 oz as a reminder of your triumphant call at the 2011 top Smiley

And if you still want to sell in 2013, I'll buy.

i want to sell 24 oz of gold Krugerands.  can u tell me where i can get the fair price of $35,000 per oz, please?

I've already explained that none of us have access to such a market, just as only a microcosm of domestic US society had legal access to gold during a brief period. What you want would be like a random person asking for a Demonoid membership, or Top Secret US government clearance. The only difference being that the big gold club is far more exclusive than either; its very existence isn't even talked about even though things don't add up with official explanations. Physicists don't know exactly what dark matter is, but its existence can be inferred from indirect observations.

no kidding.  where's the inflation?

Toiling away in the shadows and behind closed doors in posh offices; anywhere the spotlight of attention is not aimed.

excuse me but doesn't extending Operation Twist just continue to compress Net Interest Margins for banks?  how's that gonna help?  answer:  it's not.  in fact it makes it worse.

oh and also, how's does lowering interest rates relieve the fixed debt burden of corporations?  answer:  it doesn't.  it makes it worse via increasing the effective debt load of fixed rate debt acquired in the past.

Brilliant Ben.

So now the question you need to answer is: why isn't gold breaking down?
market manipulation?

Shocking! Gold is now down a whopping $2. Oh, wait! Now it's flat! Up a dollar, down a dollar, flat, down 2, up 3... based on these numbers, I predict that the melting point of fused quartz will fall to 600oC. Any wonder why day-trading is for algos and suckers?

I haven't even bothered to look at the futures volume, though I'm sure it'll be amusing. So now the question you need to answer is: why isn't gold breaking down?

Yeehaw,

Gold DOWN, Bitcoin UP!!!

Gold is up $2 or about 0.1% from its NY open today. Bitcoin is up $0.10 or about 1.5% during the same period. Today was a circle-jerking non-event. Relax.
