More likely that would gonna happen because right now they already started the records and they will gonna catch other records as well. They won't lose anything when they record this stuff rather they really making something new in their books because honestly, people are getting bored reading those new records that are not really necessary to be recorded like for example the fastest man to wear multiple underwear or something like that.
When newspapers and social media have more news, tweets, statuses about records for Bitcoin, we will have more noise globally. At the global extent, we will see more potential Bitcoiners be exposed to Bitcoin news and sooner or later, part of them will actually become Bitcoiners.

It is a magic natural transformation from non-Bitcoiners to real Bitcoiners. After the years (more than 1 decade), and with recent increasing adoption, more applications, more stores, merchants which accept Bitcoin, we will see the progress becomes faster. It was heated up year by year and now it has been blossoming.

This time, it is educational and seems they are a trusted source of news, more people will be recruited to find out about bitcoins and the crypto industry itself.
Education is important and globally we are witnessing many educational efforts to bring Bitcoin to the crowd. From universities, colleges to communities, officially and unofficially educational initiatives are hosted in different geo locations.

Bitcoin was included in the 2023 edition as the most valuable crypto with a market capitalization of $816.69 billion as well as being recognised for being the world’s first decentralised cryptocurrency after it launched in early 2009. CoinMarketCap reports that, Bitcoin’s market cap stood at $372,316,153,554. In addition, El Salvador also features in the book as the “first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender” last year.  Nothing can stop bitcoin now

Very big WIN for Bitcoin and for the community too. Without the community, this will not happen. I believe that this event will also trigger some other events and spread good words about Bitcoin. Natural advertisement.
I believe there will be more achievements for Bitcoin no matter what the price of Bitcoin is.

It's a good day for bitcoin today. Each bitcoin win should be celebrated because it was a victory against naysayers, haters, and those who wants bitcoin to die. Today, Guinness World Records have added Bitcoin and other blockchain events in its latest record book under a brand-new category called “Cryptomania". Such a huge milestone and a well deserving achievement for the number one coin in the crypto space. 13 years ago nobody would have thought btc would make history and be in world record, but here we are after a decade btc already left its prints on the Guinness world record.
It is just a matter of time before that so desired adoption will take effect.

It will take some time, for sure.

For something so transformational like Bitcoin, you need more than a decade to actually change society.

But it will change, eventually.

Just like now everyone uses a smartphone, in the future most people will use Bitcoin. Lightning is the beginning of this new world.

even if bitcoin has not made a world record, the people who benefited from this market since inception is already priceless. it continuously supports users here  and some are making a decent living out of crypto market. i believe a lot of people around the globe also are grateful for knowing this market during the pandemic period. it provided them survival during one of the crises experienced by humanity. so for me, achieving a guinness world record is a big plus for this technology.

Indeed, another great win for bitcoin and the cryptocurrency community, it gives me a joyful feeling when ever I read news like this about bitcoin, it is a confirmation upon confirmation that we all are making a history and bitcoin is taking the lead.
No doubt, bitcoin has come to stay, and if after all this great achievements, there still be anybody out there doubting the legitimacy of bitcoin, then I honestly think such a person of group of persons should have their head checked.

Well.. more records are to be made and more heights are to be scaled. I believe Bitcoin is going to become a phenomenon in 21st century. An asset, an harbinger of freedom from banks and a agent of global equality.. thats where I seek to see bitcoin.

And probably this will add to bitcoin's aura this year and in the next coming years. I mean not anyone knows about it, but probably majority is looking for records and so for sure they might encounter bitcoin in the books and open their curiosity about it. And maybe who knows, those curiosity will become a trader and investor. And it's good that Guinnes is recognizing bitcoin and putting a new category and for sure there will be some be included like in the altcoin markets in the list. Win-win situation for crypto enthusiast.

Bitcoin had come to stay so it popularity is very much sure. For bitcoin to enter the Guinness World
book of Records then that means BTC has broken the chains in which people are saying that bitcoin will not last or if bitcoin fall or stopped like LUNA. All the thinkings of people are gone therefore, the bitcoiners need to be celebrating the good development. World bitcoin celebration day will be map out very soon to celebrate the giant of Cryptocurrencies bitcoin. The next thing to do by bitcoiners is the sensitization of bitcoin to all corner of the localities. Guinness world of record is a prestige book where sensitive things are kept.
Once again thank you for bringing this good news.

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. MTwain
This recent record hasn’t made it to the records listed on the Guiness World Records site yet, but searching for all records that mention bitcoin, I’ve come across the following:

Largest bitcoin fraud (*)
First commercial Bitcoin transaction (*)
First Bitcoin Transaction
First Minecraft server with a bitcoin economy
First country to adopt bitcoin as legal tender
Most valuable cryptocurrency
Oldest Cryptocurrency
First cryptocurrency Exchange (*)
First blockchain
Largest cryptocurrency hack
First decentralized cryptocurrency
First seizure of cryptocurrency
First NFT
Largest cryptocurrency winning jackpot in an online poker tournament
Most expensive NTF artwork (limited edition)
Largest seizure of cryptocurrency
Most valuable sports club NTF

Though bitcoin is mentioned somewhere in the descriptive text of each record, a few of them are not really bitcoin related (I’ve left them there so we van see the reference to bitcoin regardless).

Some of those records seem a bit far-fetched (too thinly categorized), and I’d place a few as curiosities rather than meaningful records, but what the hell …

(*) These make a reference to Bitcointalk in their associated text description.

Yes. Every victory must be celebrated, let alone news related to this good news.
What do we think when Guinness World Records put Bitcoin in their notes?
I think to be a part of history requires a process.
Thank you Satoshi for your extraordinary work that allows us to enjoy the greatness of your work until now even in the future.

I found a picture that I needed to quote here because the picture was full of extraordinary values, with the hope that the picture was allowed by the owner and did not become a problem in the future.

I think it has become a phenomenon these days when there is more and more attention, interest in bitcoin. In my country, a few years ago, a lot of people didn't know about bitcoin or they would ignore it when they heard about it because ponzi projects are created and used bitcoin as an investment vehicle. But now things are different, when the government media start talking about bitcoin as an advanced technology, people are showing great interest in bitcoin, even farmers and street vendors started hearing and asking about bitcoin. My prediction is just one more bull season, bitcoin will gain worldwide popularity, bitcoin haters' efforts to stop bitcoin will have to stop soon.

If we will be having more of this kind of news? and winning events towards Bitcoin and of course other cryptocurrencies? I'm sure there are big effects about the supporting and trust from the prospected users.

Bitcoin is the innovated  form of currency that the world will take as advantage , though the paper wallet or banking may still there yet the use of crypto will be the worlds number one choice in the coming years because of its advantage .

For everyone who is a fan of Guinness or watches, it would be like a certification of being awesome. It will be a gateway for people interested in different things and will see how much Bitcoin has impacted the world. Children now, I hope, would find it fascinating and make improvements to the modern world and make even more achievements in the long run. This is an excellent milestone for sure.

El-Savador has already make it into record as well either by Guinness or any other organizations enlistment for records, being the first country to make bitcoin a legal tender, first bitcoin beach and first bitcoin tourist attraction country, alot has to be set into historical record and be archived concerning bitcoin in general, Guinness actually is well known for keeping and setting records of a global standards and I think they've got another big catch this time with the inclusion of bitcoin into their world Guinness book of records.

Of course, this is some kind of good news. But aside from the recognition, I don't think this amounts to so much. After all, Guinness World Records is just a book of records. It lists both good and bad, everything in a neutral way, including even the longest fart.

It doesn't vouch for Bitcoin or any other. It doesn't say Bitcoin is good. It doesn't say Bitcoin has huge potential or has a bright future. Bitcoin is there, of course, not because of anything else but simply because it is the first and then it has the largest market cap. Aside from Bitcoin, NFTs and fan tokens also made it to the latest book release.

Yes, Bitcoin will continue improving until the whole world make it legal for people to know how important Bitcoin is to humanity. I think, El Salvador are doing well in the areas of economy, infrastructures, education in their land, because they made Bitcoin legal in their country for their citizens to enjoy. Since El Salvador was the first country that adopted Bitcoin, it has attracted other countries to make Bitcoin legal in their land so that it will help them to eliminate delay in transaction, eliminate unemployment, eliminate errors from their economy so that they will be part of the good news Bitcoin is doing to countries that made it legalized.

I wouldn't have guessed that bitcoin would make it into the Guinness Book of World Records, but the market cap makes sense.

The marketcap figure is not correct if we know there are many bitcoins have been lost since 2009 and very most likely those bitcoins won't be recovered.

We can not know the exact number of lost bitcoins so that we can not calculate the absolute marketcap of total bitcoins left in circulating supply.

In any case, the market cap is an indicative figure because, for example, at today's price, all the bitcoins could be sold for around 20,000 USD, but if a whale puts a large quantity of bitcoins on sale, the price would fall, so the market cap would be lower.

Anyway it is still good to have a rough number for Bitcoin marketcap as it somewhat shows how big or small Bitcoin is in cryptocurrency market as well as in a comparison with other markets.

I agree.

this is a testament to the countries that oppose and even hate Bitcoin and crypto.
now countries will be more open with their government policies regarding bitcoin and crypto.

El Salvador answers the doubts and sentiments of some countries towards Bitcoin as a legal tender.

I also thought, can the bitcoin pizza celebration fall into the "Cryptomania" category? Cheesy
