It's true that there are many telegram group about crypto. It's look to me telegram created for crypto (Lol). Automatically adding on unknown group, ICO or others advertising. What will you learn from them? Most of them are just trying to scam you. This lovely forum isn't enough to learn about crypto? You can search simply what you need. If not found, just make a thread with your question. Lots of skill member's will help you friendly. This forum is great and biggest crypto family. So feel free to learn from here.

This seems to be the case. Majority of the chats are just spam, scam etc. But, look around in this topic. Here are some good mentions.

i have heard some saying there are groups but you should be aware no one will share for free beware of scams not all groups are good
Is there a list of those groups that could be dangerous?

I don't know if there is a such list, but there should be. The list will be long though. I recently browsed some of the biggest groups and groups of the most popular cryptocurrency projects. Many of them are infested with spam and scam accounts. So, be very very aware what group are you joining and what is the purpose, what are you looking from there.

If you are looking into an ICO and want to get to know them, then awesome. Telegram is good for that. Again, be sure it is the right group you are joining. There are fake channels as well, that act like the real one, but they are really just luring you in to get your money.

Also, there are groups on Telegram who are just chatting about crypto, the market situation, about different projects and so on. One of those is https://t.me/cryptofinance24. Everyone is free to join and lets chat about crypto and blockchain.

I don't know much about Telegram groups, but I have found crypto Facebook groups to be helpful as well.

Try the cryptofinance24 chat that has been mentioned here. I like it, there have been couple more good ones, but they have died.

Hi there!

I know there are lots of crypto and blockchain groups on Telegram, most likely thousands. Every ICO has their own. But, for a newbie, who wants to learn, have educational conversations, chat about crypto - what are good groups for that?

Thanks!
I have tried to be active on telegram groups before and all of them turned out to be money making machines for them. These groups that I am talking about are offering a community where they help newbies with their guides, price predictions, analysis, and Q&As, at first all of them will give you tips and guides for free but later on after the creation of the group you will see them frequently offering "Premium Services" which cause a certain amount of BTC to join this premium group will give you "100% Guaranteed" ways of earning with their "guaranteed guide and price predictions". After that these kinds of groups will become toxic and inactive as the creators are not active managing and moderating it anymore, they may have move on to another group to offer their services again.

My advice is to stay away from this kinds of telegram groups as they really don't want to help you in the first place, they just want your money. You are better of learning something in the forum as most probably what you are asking is already in here.

Yes, for sure there are a lot of groups like that. Where's money, there are people who want to get it. That's why it is important to find the small number of great chats, that really are about educating and talking about daily crypto topics etc..

Anyway, why would you need to have a telegram.chat when we have this forum where you can always look back when your forgetting something. The search bar in bitcointalk forum is more educational any other telegram.channel.

Using Telegram to learn is also quite enjoyable. I personally spend more time reading chats on Telegram (about crypto, most of the time) rather than spending my time here. Especially if you're away from your computer/laptop most of the time and you can only use your phone. The forum is not that mobile-friendly tbh, which is why Telegram is a good alternative.

I would highly recommend checking this list and see if there is any chat you like: https://crypthena.com/telegram-channels/. Personally I like wolfie's chat very much.

You can barely find a telegram group that is intended or dedicated to cryptocurrency educational chat. There are only few experts on cryptocurrency that will dedicated themselves for it. So, you could hardly a telegram chat for that. Anyway, why would you need to have a telegram.chat when we have this forum where you can always look back when your forgetting something. The search bar in bitcointalk forum is more educational any other telegram.channel.

So stick around, read, learn and get involved in the discussions based on the area of your interest...

I think we need to inform them that we have pinned posts especially for them.  Also, we have beginners and help board just for newbies and low ranked members.  You can post your questions and no one will judge you because that is how the beginners and help board works.

Not into telegram, but as far as I experience in this forum, this forum is sufficient to learn anything about crypto and blockchain.  You just need to learn to be patient and tolerate (yes tolerate) the graphic interface of this forum (it is very plain and old school and not conducive! what era are we now?).

Try Blockchain Academics (@blockchainacademics). They have a list of blockchain and cryptocurrency learning materials. You can chat on their group too. You can also join CryptocodeReviews, Crypto Briefing or others Telegram groups if you don't mind about dramas here and there. As a fellow beginner, I'd recommend you to read a few books first before joining any crypto group.
