I think google is about to announce their own cryptocurrency. I understand why sending out a bunch of ads about ponzi schemes could be bad for their brand, but that really hasn't stopped google before.

My other assumption is there is a lot of mounting bank and government pressure on google because I certainly don't see this coming from their customers or the people being advertised to.

Although I agree that a lot of ICOs should have to list their risks and state exactly how speculative an investment they can be.

It is really bad news. Only staying twitter. If twitter banned crypto, then it will so much sad news for cryptocurrency.
People disappointed day by day for that type news. Facebook ban and then google banned all crypto related news.

$50,000,000 in cryptos were stolen by hackers using google "poison ads". That says everything.

There must be "poison ads" on google in many other advertisements for other products and services also.

whether this drama will affect the price of Bitcoin. Huh
I don't think is the reason why bitcoin's price is getting lower. I think this is the reason  Bitcoin's Next Futures Expiration Is This Wednesday

Maybe Sergey Brin lost chance to buy at the bottom
He knows the technique that Jamie Dimon and others did that made very effective to buy at dips?

whether this drama will affect the price of Bitcoin. Huh

it seems like it has been affecting bitcoin price today as it finally could successfully break the big $9000 buy support and drop below it. maybe i missed some additional FUD flying around but in any case we have a drop now.

the real question is when all of these dramas end?
Many people analyzing 2018 will be a golden year for Bitcoin, all sounding nonsense.
I miss some positive issues about Bitcoin, so this situation will end soon.

I don't worry about it time will come that those companies, countries, people who does not want bitcoin in the first place will eventually love it when they have found out how much money it will bring into their life or businesses, so I don't worry at all it was just a trial that everybody was experiencing.

They already did this though last week, don't know why the noise is coming now and all of a sudden. Seriously makes me think the prices are being manipulated by the media and not because they want it to crash, but because the people with power can. Makes me sick to my stomach some days, but guess you just gotta be smarter and above it.

Ok granted many ico are scams. I don't touch them but google is one of or perhaps the biggest advertisement portals in the world. Do they comb through all the ads to see what are scams and what isn't. When people say Bitcoin these days they include all of crypto. These announcements have an impact on btc price. Google who collects every piece of data they can and use it to attract advertising money is now making sure people don't fall for scams, sorry google you are a monopoly and a scam.

That's maybe even for the better. Way, Way too many scam coins and ICOs starting and going around and this just might slow that down.
People who are interested or are getting interested in crypto will surely do some more research on projects and will not go running in with cash in their hands, ready to buy that coin just because.

Another bad news against cryptocurrencies. The price of BTC along with other cryptocurrencies is already going down these days. This type of negative news against crypto will decline the price further more. It has been 3 months now since the decline of BTC. It has been going down day by day and as the article says it is quite true that we don't know how the future of crypto will be.  So it's better to be alert and take the necessary steps before anything bad happens.
What are you going on about? This is a common scenario in the crypto community and is nothing new. No amount of FUD can bring down the king of the crypto market. The crypto market has been bearish for sometime now and I just like many am expecting a rally in the near future which will help Bitcoin and many popular altcoins like Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin etc skyrocket in value helping them set new highs. I recommend everyone to not give in to the FUD and HODL your coins for big profits in the long run.

I don't think it's for the Cryptocurrency market is certainly have an impact, but for now the influence of national policy for the whole Cryptocurrency market is bigger, so the United States today's hearing becomes very critical.

They are against mostly untruthful ICOs and spammers. Last year they have to fight about millions of pishing ads, most of them about new currencies and about making fast money. I believe they are not such as bad news as it seems, for they, probably, will fight all those pishing and scammers that are contaminating the web.
Besides, they don't specifically declare yet what is going to be their politics about it. They just have said they are going to pursue illegal activities, scamming and pishing related to crypto and other "finantial products".
Lets relax, wait and see.

I saw that this morning and my first question was is that only banning of ads purchased and pushed through adwords or are they going to also include no longer supporting Adsense that are being run on Crypto related websites that may or may not be pushing crypto ads? If Google really is going to take a stand against crypto ads do we expect them to go full on and start ranking crypto related pages lower in their searches?  While I think the ban on ads is a good thing as the amount of ICO ads I see while browsing the web is crazy I hope this is as far as they go to limit anything related to crypto.  Anything beyond just ads and I think it could start to have an effect on the market.
I'm not worried about ads and google interests in their business. There's always a positive impact and negative impact, I'm just worried about this issue will make panic that makes the price of Bitcoin slumped.

I don't think that it will put any impact on it.
I mean  the ones who know about cryptocurrency and how it is ,it's not gonna affect them so it hardly matters.

ICOs are evil. But banning all crypto-related ads will lead to people being unaware of promising technologies.
I think it is bad for crypto-market capitalisation.

ICOs aren't necessarily evil. Only the scammy ones are, even though majority are indeed scammy.

There are a lot more places for projects to be known. A good example would be on Reddit, and here on Bitcointalk. If the new projects are good(and not scammy), then they would have no problem on getting publicity on Reddit and here on Bitcointalk.

This is good news in my opinion; as this is most likely because of the scammy ads. At last the shitty crypto ICOs and the exchange phishing links will be gone to some degree. Too much people has been hacked by the binance phishing scam already.

Little to no impact on bitcoin's price, in my opinion.
