google has always been spying us every since. take a look at the ads displayed on the websites you visit and you'll its almost targeted to you. search something like "car models" and you'd be prompt with ads about cars. how do they know  which ads to display? its because they've spy us thru the browser cookies.

One world One currency, Bitcoin.
Everything that is closed source can be said to be spied( I dont trust my phone) .Google has srrounded us from search to phone. We are very much dependent on them. We should now choose to open source.

If it is not google, then it would be microsoft or apple. In reality we don't have much to do against those companies. if you use vpn, tor everytime you open your pc and never shared your private information public, you may have a chance stay anonymous. You can't even sign up for a F***n gmail without giving your  cellphone number. Then why teh fck everyone is using their crap suure i dunno.

PAPER: GOOGLE sketchy quest to control knowledge… FTC ‘taking second look’
http://investmentwatchblog.com/paper-google-sketchy-quest-to-control-knowledge-ftc-taking-second-look/

These bastards scare me,think the world powers are going to break off under these big companies and not actual Countries in the future. Autism is at a way higher percentage in the tech community and they tend to be very black and white in thinking,so the idea that they are going to be pushing what is right for us is a very dark aspect for us all.

Most of the big companies (not all) spy on people that use their services, so does the google too, they even spy at our emails if we are using gmail or other google services.

Is there a article about them spying on emails as well? Would not doubt it but would like proof as well.

E-mail is about the internet equivalent of shouting over your fence at your neighbor, all someone has to be doing is standing around to hear it. Unless you use encryption you can pretty much count on everyone who wants a copy of your e-mails having one.

Starting to think I am to behind the 8ball to be able to figure out how to protect myself properly. Guess I just need to learn how its done to understand the issue. For some reason I need to always be able to see the full scope before it sinks in.

Well yes there are many articles that prove that google does spy on our gmail account, for example with a quick search in google i found this: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/apr/15/gmail-scans-all-emails-new-google-terms-clarify

For the ones (still) using Chrome, just install the plugin called Ghostery.
You'll be surprised of how many sites try to spy on you.

Try blocking google features on a andriod and suddenly all kinds of aspects are not working properly. You can not use one product without the others working,at least this is my experience with them.

when someone uses any service for Google, he will agree first on their privacy agreement. so how can those students sue them, if they do not like google for using their data for advertising proposes, then they can use other products

Yes, and so does facebook. You have to block their cookies individually.
Block all cookies from:
google.com
google.de
google.es
google.fr
google.it
...
Add top domain level from every country where you travel.
Block also
googleadservices.com
facebook.com
twitter.com
And you should be quite safe. You may also use Tor.

TOR wont protect you from tracking, it will only anonymize your IP.

Nothing can be done about that. Facebook, Whatsapp and even your phone manufacturer could be spying on you.

If these app games are any example of how willing people forgo their privacy, think the majority have no issue living in a world where ads are specifically made for them based on their searches. When you have conversations with people that are ok with little privacy you really can not sway them because they think they can do nothing wrong in the eyes of the law due to conforming to every step. Tend to think you can not reach them till its to late.

You can call it spying but people are leaving that data behind by there own. They just easy grab it and use it for personal advertisement and better search results. Just try to leave not that much information about your self on the internet.

This is true, the harder you can make it for them the better. However they are making it harder every day for people to maintain their privacy.
