88 (89 now) participants is correct and to be honest, I am quite happy about that number even though it could always be more, of course.

As it started, some already quickly broke away at the very top with 2 correct hits, and the first has 3 correct hits... I agree, there is a long way to go, and there will be many surprises along the way, but it seems that some participants are very skilled, including Gosu who is in second place!
Joke on the side, there have been a lot of last-minute changes in previous competitions. That's why it's super exciting, there are still a lot of games, and things on the table can really turn upside down.

I agree, some guys already made some awesome predictions, it's gonna be hard to break into the top 5 or top 10 without getting some perfect correct hits as well. I am not doing very good so far with only 21 points, too bad.
Hopefully I can now pick up some steam and maybe get some more right, otherwise it's looking bad, even though it was just the 1st round out of 3.
My limited football knowledge is not really helpful, hahaha. We should make a comp like this for basketball, maybe I would have an edge there, at least I should have.
