Governments like regulating stuff, They don't like keeping things working as they do and prefer putting additional restrictions over everything, That's the main problem countries like China and Russia don't like about bitcoin IMO, it's open source and world wide uncontrollable nature.

Well as of this time I haven't heard that our government has mention bitcoins in their offices. I really hope that they will not think that bitcoin in some point is gonna be bad in the economic status of the country. But there are a lot people here who are aware and part of bitcoin, yet no negative thoughts about it..

In where we live, government has an idea about bitcoin, as there are exchanges who of course get their business permit..I think government is not yet reacting on bitcoin existence , it is because even its people lacks knowledge about bitcoin, and perhaps the reason is that ISP's sucks, and people would prioritize their daily living than buying a computer..

Some had quoted if bitcoins were adopted by government the corruption decreases. Its not fair bitcoin will reduce corruption. It increases the ease of getting corrupted.
It can be used to reduce corruption BUT if it changes the regulation, for example if one person can own only one address since by bitcoin all transactions are traceable. However this way bitcoin concept will change.

Governments of all countries are not same and when we talk or think about the government the first thing comes to our mind is the corruption. Most of the government employees are involved in scams or corrupted activities so it becomes difficult for a ordinary person to trust them.

when it comes to bitcoin I don't think that corrupted government will come in support of bitcoin.

In my country Government and bitcoin are like two sides of a coin, as I don't see that Government in my country will ever stand by bitcoin as it will end of all their corrupted activities if bitcoin gets on mainstream.

In where I live, bitcoin is not growing very fast, and probably government is not yet interested in it..I don't think that it will end the corruption in the government when bitcoin if bitcoin is been adopted

Same in my country Rick. I havent seen it in the news at television or even the newspaper. I dont see it growing up here. Not too many are too concerned about bitcoin. I guess they are just too lazy, they dont even know what they can achieve from this.

But governments may benefit from bitcoin if they benefit from its system and if they can regulate it they can use an advanced financial system for doing many transactions and they may do something to achieve this in future.

Well no one control bitcoin, but big holders may affect bitcoin as they can drop their huge balance. They cant control bitcoin but they can trace the holders ,and tax them soo i hope government keep staying out of bitcoin.
in my area if you build an exchanger you must pay the tax to government, bitcoin may be not supported by the government but they will cost you for everything you do, i trully believe that they will not adopted bitcoin, just hoping they will not banned it

That's why its called a government. They try to get an additional income wherever possible, they don't think about supporting or opposing. Just if you give some additional tax then they won't enquire what sort of business you are engaged in or for some auditing. Only what they need is tax.

Yes the government doesnt want anything from business stablishment other than taxes, they would careless about bitcin as long as you pay them taxes they wont bother you.

In every open market the ones that hold majority of the market can influence but governments can do affect if they consider some policies, for example suppose if some banks invest in bitcoin, then the price will soar!

Governments dont need to take care and control everything, they rule already a country soo bitcoin belongs to the people.Giving back to the people the power to choose what you wanna to do with your money. They dont control the fiat soo why would they like to control bitcoin, they should tax it and let it free otherwise no one will say that own bitcoin.
But I think for strength and strong support to bitcoin, the governments need to intervene in there, the governments will do good job for its establishment and with that it will become a long live reliable currency.

I don't think that government will support bitcoin ever as it is an threat to the fiat currency and also for the traditional banking system on which which governments have a total control.
this is also happened in my country my government only support traditional banking system and not admit bitcoin as digital currency but also not prohibited but if someone else got scam then they can not bringing lawsuits because bitcoin users are not protected by law

When it comes to scam, bitcoin user should really be careful about what transaction he/she is going for.
Government will really support traditional banking because they can implement taxes there.

I think bitcoin has no government and we are free to use it.. Only the fee as taxes we need to pay is the every transaction you made to some.. But not all wallet has a fee for every transaction you made.. like coinbase.. .No one can control bitcoin we are anonimous so we should need a freedom using bitcoin..

Yeah and those transaction fees are way too low than any other money transfer companies there. It is like 1-2 percent at those other companies unlike bitcoin. It is not that hurtful and no need for a lot of documents to show.
And because of these features I have adopted bitcoin for all of my transactions and leaved all other payment processors as they were have big transaction fee and I would have lose a big fraction in paying it.

Yes, for bitcoin I do not think we need a government. But just need an organization which will be an international organization and will organize and maintain all the affairs and issues to bitcoin.
