It’s really concerning that BAT is introducing new bills and changes so fast. It makes me wonder if he really thinks about these decisions before introducing and concluding on them. I hope there’s a long term plan towards all of these that will in turn have a positive impact on the our country at large. I really hope that our sufferings will be worth it in the end.

I can't confirm the news yet, but if it's true, the ASUU strike will be over because universities will be handling most of the internal funding rather than waiting for the government. Nigerians have been enjoying subsidised education for a long time now, but if it's removed, student loans will help and the issues of long strikes will be gone. it a good move
Well let it be that it is a fake news because that news is not a favourable news to many Nigerian homes. Some people plant cassava to train their children and some of them na fishing, whole some nai gin so all those category of people will be affected because the VCs will definitely increase the school fees to meet up the expenses of the school. This is a very bad news ever and for decays and centuries as a country.

If government no go fit fund varsities then the government indirectly against education. How can a president of a country come out and tell the well educated citizens say im no go fund varsities, im time dem no fund am. If no fund am then na who go fund am. The students? Nai make im dey give the students loan? Dis president is missing something here in the country. He should calm down and plan well to carry out action. Education control all the other parts of the country so anything that happen to education affect other institutions.

Me di way I dey see am Tinubu is trying to make things harder than the previous president. Free education has been on ground since the creation of the country even before the independent. The Eastern Region, Western Region And Northern Region all were having Free education. It was only the Northern Region that against free education but later they also support the motion. So I don't know why a Western Region man who love education to the core is against free education at this point which Nigerian youth need free education at top.
Awolowo was the initiator of the free education from the Western  world as a comparative education at that time. Then Azic also loved the idea and used it. Tinubu is planning to suffer the poor parents in Nigeria.

Toruorua University and Medical University are all in Bayelsa were issuing scholarships to students and the scholarship end only two years. After the two years most of the students could not pay the school fees again do they have to dropped out. And this is going to happen in the whole country. He should think well and reverse that policy because it will affect 95% of the students in Nation Wide.

All of them including the past leaders have all benefited from the opportunity of free education and that's part of what has given them the opportunity to be among those elite who are exposed today and to have the opportunity to study and pursue after their ambitions in life through the western free education scheme then, I want to believe that this was not done because of the newly implemented scheme for students loans  Grin

The student loan was a good appraisal the government used to shield themselves if there be any retaliation from the students and asuu.

At first the federal government approved of the student loan because of this plans ahead. If the student union resist they will tell them to go get a loan as it is easy to access. They have succeeded in forcing the students to have alternative choice of paying their fees if they complain of that.
The second is an indirect attack on asuu. Since the federal government universities are majorly the assuu member, they are indirectly telling them go make your way for yourself we can not afford to put up with your bill anymore.
ASUU is gradually losing the battle against federal government with this new policy if we are to go by it.

Only few weeks wey our newly elected president Tinubu don take over the mantle of leadership so many new bills and changes have been put in place in a short interval. Em go be like sae the FG are in a hurry to change and implement new new bills like sae them no get up to 4 years to rule the country again.

At this time wey the country's economy and her citizen are not stabilize financially with the new development that has been put into law, the FG come throw and another bombshell that they can't fund our university anymore.  This means that universities are going to be sourcing their funds by themselves to keep it running. This will entirely make tuition fees of all Nigeria university to become expensive.

Wetin be una yarn for this matter because the way I d see am the implication no here. Peso no go spend big money for university come later the find work join. The student loan bill na em be the solution to all this or not? Make una suggest the way forward for our educational sector this time around
