Hey guys I have been working on a Faucet/Online Wallet/Staking Pool/Network Monitor all in one type site for GP as a few of the modules I can repackage to make future projects much easier. You can track the progress at http://gpfaucet.com/
Hello
How long does it take to synchronize?
Because I sent 3GP more than one hour ago on the address I got with the My Wallet/Deposit module, but my balance is still at 0.00000000 in gpfaucet  Huh
 https://cryptobe.com/tx/256740e8211ead751677955d85d9e105850cfcbe6c1c49411224738f4658cf1b
What is wrong?

BTW in the head of the screen "Inkha" is written next to a little man, and not my username...

Sorry I should of mentioned not to deposit yet as it's being developed right now, shouldn't be much longer before everything is functional. I was about to write a post about it as i'm writing the code to monitor and apply deposits and stakes now! Let me know your address and i'll send it back to you. Cheers. I will let you know when it's functional 100%.
Ok thank you, here is my address GMzDgUpDkeqFDp75Jcii2etNN1TRjSfirE
Don't hesitate to tell me when Gpfaucet will be ready.  Smiley

BTW on coinmarketcap there is no news since january 2016 https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/goldpieces/#social
It would be great to post new tweets sometimes.

Hi inkha,

This is great progress as a lot of people now like to use online wallets as it makes it easier for them to store their coins. I like the idea of a staking pool for people who don't have a lot of coins but would like to earn some stakes. I have seen this so many times where people only have a small amount of coins and want to stake but they don't earn much and then leave the coin, so a staking pool is a great idea. Also I like the faucet idea as this can help bring in newbies to GP and also get a lot of people started with the coin. I'm liking what I'm seeing here, keep up the good work dev!

Hi Guys, what is the current POS annual % on this coin?

It is between 10 to 20 % per year due to the staking limit of 2.5GP per staking reward. Cheers.

Thanks for this updated list of nodes as I needed to add more as I only had under 10 connections and now that I have added these nodes I now have 23 connections so thank mate. Looks as though things are progressing nicely now here which I'm happy to see. The good thing I love about staking coins is that while we wait for future developments from the dev's we earn more coins from staking.

Also I did a write up on installing the wallet on Ubuntu 16.04 which should be helpful for game developers or anyone looking to setup a VPS for staking their coins 24/7

Sorry about this... I changed the directory but still no joy.  Huh  I'm probably doing something stupid...  Roll Eyes

PS C:\Users\USER> cd Downloads\
PS C:\Users\USER\Downloads> java -jar halhan-rsc.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Not a directory!
        at javax.imageio.ImageIO.setCacheDirectory(Unknown Source)
        at org.moparscape.msc.client.mudclient.(mudclient.java:7184)

PS C:\Users\USER\Downloads>

Ack yes this error just started appearing for me as well out of no where. I'm working on resolving it :/

On a positive note, a durable seed-node is syncing the blockchain right now which will make it easier for new users to connect once I have updated the source and release a new wallet version.

I'm having trouble getting this thing to work.  I've tried installing JRE, downloaded the file, unpacked it (though kept the original), and am just getting this:

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> java -jar halhan-rsc.jar
Error: Unable to access jarfile halhan-rsc.jar

Do I need to specify the full location of the file in the command line?  (I know I got this working in Windows 7 a whole lot easier than now in Win10!!  Roll Eyes)

Perhaps a guide to installing and setting up would be a good next page for the site!

Yes sorry for not specifying, you should be in the directory where the .jar file is (Most likely your Downloads folder atm), or supply the full path to the .jar file otherwise.

The price of GoldPieces already too low.  I do not think it will drop much low from here.  Let grab some.

By the way, Inkha, any plan on new exchange for Goldpieces?

Also GP has been at around 3 cents for awhile, it's dropped a bit more now. Hopefully as more players start playing the game and new games are released interest will pickup! We need to get an active community of players on at least one of the games to really drive interest. Once the price of GP rises it will feed itself, giving more value and allowing creators more freedom to market and develop is my hope.

Yeah it has been and it only started to go down as most Altcoins were being dumped. But GP has been holding steady even at 4 to 5 cents for many months so there does seem to be some support for the coin. Like you say once players start playing the game interest will pick up which in turn will help the price grow. I think GP will be good to try and get listed on Novaexchange, the fee is low compared to other exchanges and people can vote to get the coin listed. I have seen dev's give bounties to get the coin listed faster as I believe a coin needs 200 votes before it is listed so some dev's pay like 1 coin per vote which helps get the coin listed quicker.

@inkha - haven't set it up on my new PC yet but will try to find time to do so too!  Are you planning to have GP as actual in-game currency, or just something that can be traded for Gold in-game?
@Tony128 - I certainly hope so!  The potential's always been there.

I am thinking of having a market for GP/coins on the site, so they can be traded instantly. I have been working on the mechanism to do so and so far the only drawback is i'll hafto log people out of the game before they can use the market, and vice versa. So when you log back in the coins purchased will be in the game, or I may have some kind of 'bank' on the site in addition to the market, to withdraw in and out of the game, once out of the game they can be used on the website's market to trade GP/coins.

We're listed on CoinExchange.io and Cryptopia.co.nz, Do you have ideas for an exchange I should request?

If you want to bring some light into GP, collaboration with other communities is more than needed.

A flood of other coins around the corner will push price even lower no matter what.

And even those who support GP from the beginning, will eventually just leave.

This goes for every coin who is diving into oblivion. Sadly.
