Ethereum shouldn't be pool mined. Solo mine instead. Even if you only have 1 GPU. You'll hit a block in about the same time it'll take you to earn 5 eth on a pool, probably even quicker actually.

Running on nanopool and I notice that my hash rate keeps dropping from the almost 21Mh/s for Ethminer to 8.8MH/s a second. Not only that after a good 12+ hours running I did not receive any payout.   I have now moved to Suprnova and mining average 22.37MH/s and already got a small payout of .12 us dollars..  I don't trust nanopool.org at all..

Also is there a better software than ethminer that you can tweak GPU settings can it be tweaked in ethminer?  I would like to know how to tweak in ethminer for my GPU if it's possible.
