@tagged - here it is! Smiley as no officials here, this is not updated in OP and I'm still waiting for my bounty Sad

Hi all! Happy upcoming Easter to all of You!

I would like to claim Linux wallet bounty. There is no bullshitware in this app as I'm not familiar with wallet code, so its unchanged original code and I compiled it from latest git sources on Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit. Damn boost libraries, had to put in a lot of effort to compile wallet... Cheesy I did a test receive and send transaction, seems to work. I sent coins from faucet to first user with GPUC address in signature that I found from the end of this thread. All operating system info and proof that it's working is in screenshot.

If someone does not know, wallet.dat is in hidden folder in your home folder. (see screenshot)

I would like to receive my bounty on this address: GaHCtiCNPFM1Nqf3YkcRNV4kq3pLNMnozS
Also, tips welcome as well, as I spent more than 2 hours on this Cheesy

Download link: https://mega.co.nz/#!iJRjEYCQ!6jknsjFskISIEeeyNKkKZei8pVRVModMx3_1ItlUC1E

P.S. Whoever is running GPUC faucet from home page, something is wrong with deposit address as I was not enable to send coins back. Wallet seems to not accept that address.
P.P.S. From now on, I accept Linux wallet compilation requests for BTC. PM if interested.

Hi guys,

What is the new halving schedule supposed to be like? Thanks.

Check here.. i've made it pretty clear now in the code: https://github.com/micryon/GPUcoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1102

Quote
   if (nHeight == 1)
        nSubsidy = 400000000 * COIN; // premine for GPUcoin IPO Investors
    else if (nHeight >1 && nHeight <= 200) //launch at 200 with checkpoints, KGW kicks in at block 180 before that .. all zeroes
     nSubsidy = 0 * COIN;
    else if (nHeight >200 && nHeight <2600) //real start of mining at 2600 (roughly 1 day for this coin.. i think..)
     nSubsidy = 1 * COIN;
    else if (nHeight >= 2600 && nHeight <= 65535) //hard fork
     nSubsidy = 20000*COIN;
    else if (nHeight > 65535 && nHeight <= 315535)
     nSubsidy = 10000*COIN;
    else if (nHeight > 315535 && nHeight <= 565535)
     nSubsidy = 5000*COIN;
    else if (nHeight > 565535 && nHeight <= 815535)
     nSubsidy = 2500*COIN;
    else if (nHeight > 815535 && nHeight <= 5973024)
     nSubsidy = 1250*COIN;
    else
     nSubsidy = 0*COIN;

The halving transition seems to have gone well.  Just mined my first 10000 blocks, #65538 and #65540, and they are getting confirmations.

There is this in the log:

and a bit later this:

I suppose these are nodes running the old wallet?

REVOLUTION TIME!

I can see you've got a strong community and some people still working on the project. It seems it is too much too handle for the people currently still working on it.

I was getting pretty irritated by all these great coins that lost the support of the developer, so I'm trying to start an independent foundation, the Coin Revival Foundation (CFA), that revives these coins and keeps advancing them.

My aim is to give altcoins back to the community and away from speculative whales! Smiley

Come to the topic to discuss this if you like and explain why GPUcoin would be a good coin to take into consideration.

Come and join! Smiley

So every other 1000 crap coins have no use or store, so what?
So why not just everyone promote the coin and miners will mine
because low diff, then word gets out, Asics come and ruin scrypt,
and we have a coin going up again. If black coin, White coin, Asia
coin can do it, why shouldn't GPU coin do it?

Or just some whale (more like guppy) just buys up all the GPU coin
on the exchange for like what? 1 btc? Then demand and price goes
up.  We got any whales here?

Sure , nothing stops us from putting up a marketing campaign to support this coin.. we still have hendr1x, and myself for support .

So yeah.. it can be done. even without the shipping of GPUs...  But it will be predominately a marketing exercise.

Hello everyone,
First off I just wanted to make clear that I didn't jump ship.  I have about 4 btc in this project, 80+ hours and the ongoing costs of running the servers.  My reputation is extremely important to me and I want to keep it in good standing.

I will make sure I respond to any emails/PMs sent to me and help with anything I can.  Unfortunately I do not control anything in regards to the actual operation of the store.  I simply built and maintain the website.  All orders and emails go directly to Jaymes.  All payments go directly to a wallet that Jaymes controls.  His primary email is [email protected] and [email protected].  I remember he had a gmail account laying around if anyone still has it.  I recommend emailing him directly about these issues.

Ditto.. Smiley  Still here and willing to help on the coin dev side.. but can't do much to impact the real business model...  Also i have losses greater than 99% of you.. thank god for making it back on BlackCoin Smiley

Can you fill us in on whether he is :
2)Supporting the coin and contacting Micryon and you

Last time I heard from him was 4/10.
Did you ask him why he is the invisible man? Or if he is just a d-bag?

1. If it tanks (due to lack of interest, market shift, BTC drop, or the owner disappearing magically, etc), he still legally owns the stock and the BTC
2. Not liable to provide refunds beyond the IPO phase
3. Can dissolve the LLC and walk away with the 'free' loan of BTC / USD / Equipment

The community is left holding empty bags, essentially through a legal scam. You'd have to prove his intent was nefarious for it to be illegal.

It's possible... but then that's just business as usual in the startup world.. Smiley

2) Last I heard from him was last Sunday (4/13) when he asked about some details on an order
3) Sorry, I don't know.
Lol, I guess he was alive last Sunday, and shipping a card.  Maybe you can get him to turn this coin around or hand it over to you and Micryon to do so.  Anyways, halving coming up soon.
