Could there be any chances for partnership with Pawncoin, both are business oriented coins. What's the exact business plan of GPUCoin?  Is there any existing contract with GPU supplier that can be easily transfer to new ownership.
Thanks

Oh no doubt.. KNC's batch 1 shipment will bring around 2-3PH, batch 2 will be even more. The multi-algo systems will be exciting whenever they hit. And KNC is looking to double their SHA power. Bitcoin will be mined out hahaha.

I only mentioned the business because the coin is white noise without it. Why mine GPUC at that point? Why even revive it honestly? Let it die. Better coins out there to revive and mine.

Well that point could be easily carried towards anything that is not bitcoin. All altcoins are whitenoise when compared to bitcoin, why do people mine dogecoin, litecoin, vertcoin, maxcoin? The only difference is perceived profitability. But I do not agree that it is dead, it's been 2 months. I know that this market moves at the speed of moores law but people in this market call a coin dead a week after it launches giving it absolutely no breathing room to even find its price. What I see in this market are immature "investors" who don't understand how investing works. All I know is that even at 1 satoshi gpucoin is still turning a profit for me. I spend 4 dollars a month (2 750 Ti cards) on my mining expenditure and the coin is mined at a 1000% profit. So that is the reason to mine the coin, I may not have a lot of hash power but the profit margin is still undeniable, and any amount of profit is in the long run a good gain.

All that being said I'm still sitting on my coins until the asics come out and the gpu farms switch to scrypt-n, because there is a possibility of a revival in diff and hash power, increasing value. I also still believe

You mean when they hit bigger and more spread out than they are now? By the end of the year, scrypt-n asic will be the next best thing.

This coin, in its technical function, works well. It's working great right now. But nobody needs it because the business is dead.

The scrypt asics out right now are a joke in comparison to what is going to come out from alpha tech and knc. Shipments for alpha tech should happen in june or july, at least thats what they promised. They also raised their performance to 90mh/s per which is still peanuts in comparison to the titan at 250mh/s and given knc's record they always seem to under promise on performance so there is the possibility that the machines will have even better performance.

Also saying the business is dead is a moot point because 90 percent of coins don't have a business backing their worth. The financial gain of coins is based on community before anything else. If a community is solidly grouped around a coin it has a better chance of succeeding than a coin that doesn't. The business aspect of this coin was going to give it a boost but now we need to gather as a community and promote the coin as opposed to letting the business side speak for the community.

They're not shipping, so it's all moot.

Does the store actually ship?

It looks like the store doesn't actually ship, if I understood correctly.

This problem could be resolved by making the exchange swap the pair:
GPUC/BTC -> BTC/GPUC

This way you have way more granularity in the price.
Would this be possible?

Just open a GPUC/LTC pair. The problem is that if this pair is opened, the price will drop to even lower values (see fedoracoin)

The problem of the store is that you can easily buy a lot of GPUC at 1 satoshi, then buy a GPU when the price is at 2 satoshi. The store owner then will have a trouble to sell the GPUC at 2 satoshi, and the customer would have effectively bought the GPU at half the price...

It's a shame that GPUCoin is dead..

Well the original idea is dead.. the coin is still alive though.. still 18m n-scrypt hashes on it, already on some exchanges , etc.

A community take over seems like it's viable.. but needs some serious work on the promotion/marketing side.  We still have technical sides covered between hendr1x and myself..

At this point we can count Jaymes out.  He probably wanted to honestly build a legit business at first, but as soon as it ran into trouble.. since this is just an internet forum, it's easy to just give up/walk away.. probably walked away with some IPO cash as well.  Definitely unfortunate for us bag holders.. but meh.. it happens.

We need a promoter/marketer type to revitalize it... if someone is willing to step up to the plate, tech devs are still here..

We currently have a vote going for the Coin Revival Foundation to take over this coin. Can you fill me in about the current situation?

ok so he has the gpucoin store llc or whatever he called it, community takeover would be pretty easy because I don't think he put the coin into the llc so there is nothing stopping us from opening a store under a different name and accepting gpu coin. dude's an idiot because he could have made a lot of money legit instead of a little pile of single satoshi coins and a few cards but whatever.. I think any coin with an IPO is bullshit and this just puts another nail in the coffin for the scammers.

yeah, we're missing the business angle that was the original intention of this coin.

But that isn't to say we can't think of a new business angle...

I don't think anyone should cut out and run just yet. I would at least wait until the scrypt asics hit before calling the coin dead in the water. I have said this before and I will say it again. The people who bought into the "IPO" should not be surprised at how any of this played out. They all complain like they are stock holders, but as i have said over and over again, you are not stock holders and you do not hold stake in a company. If you held stake in the company you would own shares in the LLC, cryptocurrencies are not shares. Also investments take time, and said investments take risk. Its always a gamble, if everyone who held btc at 5 bucks cut and run thinking it was dead none of us would be here now. Just to put it plainly as possible there is no such thing as a get rich quick solution to your own personal financial problems. Losing money is part of investing, and understanding that will make you a smarter investor because you will vet the situation properly before jumping headfirst into a shit storm. Which this obviously was from all the signs from the very beginning. Not including failed launches 1-6. I personally never trust a coin "IPO" because it is not an IPO. Companies have IPOs specifically to expand their capital to broaden their market for their proven product. Coins have no proven product until they are successfully publicly traded.

All that being said I'm still sitting on my coins until the asics come out and the gpu farms switch to scrypt-n, because there is a possibility of a revival in diff and hash power, increasing value. I also still believe in the concept of the coin and the value set forth behind it, but the execution has been so ill managed that it was not successful. All this requires is a competent person to take it over who can put the time into the "company" as a whole. The LLC would have to be re-registered though to strip jaymes from it, assuming he can be found it probably will not be a pretty process. Also the registered agent should be a CPA or Lawyer not a singular entity with no public registrant ties who can cut and run like this.

Just to add, I'm sorry you lost money on the "IPO" but the contract for the "IPO" was fulfilled when you received the coins. That was the nature of the agreement, hence the reason I have a huge distrust with coin "IPOs."
