So 3% premined. Well done!
3% premine now is a trend.

Only for dying coins.  Wink

We mined 3% to help the coin, not hinder it.  The IPO funds are going to be put directly into GPU stock so that we have access and can sell at cheaper prices than even Newegg, and the rest will be used for bounties, such as a Mac wallet and any translations, to help the coin expand.

I heard this recently.. yep, was pandacoin Tongue 1 week and was dead!

edit:  if true, i like the idea

We will make profit from every single GPU sale, even at our relatively low pricing, since we have distributor pricing. It is in our best interest to keep the coin alive and make long term sales profits.  After contacting several manufacturers we have found that we can only buy directly from them once we turn a certain amount of sales per month.  Once we hit that point we can drop our prices even further to hopefully MSRP, but they refused to tell us their pricing so no promises, cutting out all the middle men entirely to save the customers even more money.

250,000,000 for IPO
150,000,000 for bounties and payment for future development

The dev holds IPO and still keeps the premine for bounties Huh Talk about screwing investors

So, some details of the cards I can buy.  I have found an ASUS R9 280X that I can sell at ($455 equivalent of GPUC) shipped in the continental US and an ASUS R9 290 at ($575 equivalent of GPUC) shipped in the continental US.  Overseas shipping will be extra.

Is anyone interested in stocking the 270X or even the 290X?  My savings on the 270x is only $30 off Newegg and I have personally never used one for mining.  The 290X seems to just waist power and not put out any more hash than the 290.

              GPU Coin   vs   Newegg
r9 280X      $455             $529.99 + shipping
r9 290        $575             $649.99 + shipping

hi i am willing to invest some btc in to this but as i can see from your website you have only 4 investors and a total of something like 0.2 btc invested. if i matched that i would then take 50% of ipo coins and i would feel harsh for doing so but i also want to give you as much in the way of btc as with this ammount so far your stock will be 1 adm a4 apu and that is all lmao! also i see yo would be looking at international shipping. if you required i could see about helping you there as a european reseller per say. i.e you have your partners in the us and whom ever you source your gpus from ship them to the uk for eu sale. or possibly if i was to offer opening a shop i.e i purchase gpus from a place i use to build rigs at cheap prices and pass on the benefits but this would require some investment on my/comunitys part! hope this coin growns and becomes what you wish it to be. regards

International shipping at reasonable prices?

We do intend to ship internationally, we just have to find the most cost effective service.

You don't have to find anything, it's USPS Priority mail. Everything else is expensive and a Custom's nightmare.

Client is functional, the premine for IPO and future development is finished.  There will be no more mining of any sort until the release date of March 02 17:00 EST.  Bounties will be posted in the opening post and will be available as soon as the coin goes public.

Yeah, i noticed that as well. I stay away from these premined coins. So many other great coins to mine with my hardware.

The main difference is that GPU Coin will be supplying a store front where people can trade the coins in for real world items.  If I stock just the amount of GPU's voted for in the last hour I would need about $30,000 out of pocket.  These costs will be covered by the IPO, and the more money net the cheaper I can get the GPUs from my distributor.  I really wish I had that kind of money laying around so I wouldn't need the IPO, but I just simply don't.

The web page is offline :S
Seems to be working fine from my end.
http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/gpucoin.net

Please clear the windows DNS Cache, cookies, browser cache and all other saved website data for gpucoin.net and let me know if that solved your issue.

Okay, I did all those things, but still did not work. Also not on my phone. Could you post the IPO info in this thread as well?

I will give my server a call later today to see if there are any issues they can take care of.  If you wish to join in the IPO just send an e-mail to [email protected] and follow the responding instructions.

My favorite one! And it looks great! =)
The symbiosis of fiat and cryptos! )
Me, as a cyberdoge, really happy! )
This coin is GPU forged, and it has a lot power inside! So our scientist doges should use it as a power source in their experiments and stuff! =)
Such great!

So you can already mine this with ASIC?  Angry

Was promising in the title... this needs to be a Vertcoin type scrypt.

I updated with a new poll.  Please vote so that I can estimate the sales volume to stock a decent amount of GPUs for the grand opening of the store front, when the time comes.  I wouldn't be put off if I stock 30 and only sell one every other day, but I would not like to be in the situation where I have 50 in stock and sell out in an hour.  I want this to go as smooth as possible so that customers are not stuck with just another store that you have to wait three weeks for a back order.
