Kind of surprising that she's aware of something like that, but at the same time if someone is "in-tune" enough with society and has a generalistic concept of new things that happen or come out (much like Bitcoin), then it becomes increasingly more likely for them to know some of the more obscure things, also like Bitcoin.

However Bitcoin is becoming increasingly popular so a grandmother with enough time on her hands isn't an unlikely candidate for knowing these things.

Look at those ladies face lol. It is fucking hilarious. I can stop laughing. This is totally amazing prank and it should be listed in world 2016 funniest prank ever. Well, grandma is such an innovative person. Good job grandma. Bitcoin n apple => Grandma won

AHHA moment, something which indeed is very funny. But I think if it does happen, it will be something quite different if grandma used it and start the discussion to everyone she met. Because grandma also has quite a good influence in the growth of something, just wait some time ahead and see what results it brings. I always thought that the growth is very large and can provide a very good impact for everyone

BItcoin has been featured in mainstream media and newspapers so even old people have heard about it. My dad owns some Bitcoins just for the prospect of it. He doesn't know much about how it works though.

It's great to see such stories Smiley
Unfortunately, in my country, such a story wouldn't be possible.
I think that maybe less than 10 % of old people are Internet users.
Most of them used only email I think.
Even younger generation hesitate to use Internet banking, or to buy something online, for example.
We still have a long way to go.

That's a nice share and I will definitely share this to others too. There were many old people who used to say that there in nothing in this technology, but I argued all the time and they asked for a proof to see whether people of their ages use bitcoins? Thanks to you, now I have a proof to share and shut their mouths.

In the video I stopped after where the Old Woman scene ends. And all I can say is that the old woman was just amaze on the so called "new technology" of apple pay. I don't know if I can translate it right but she is trying to say is that she can't keep up with all the new things from Bitcoin as a kind of currency now there is a currency, the guy just basically put the wrong thought on the old lady, poor grandma.

Good for her, kind of blows the haters out of the water who say 'older people & people of a certain generation will never get involved with bitcoin'.

If micropayments in everyday life using bitcoins would be acceptable from most people then they would agree to convert their savings or a small part of it in bitcoins. Maybe in local stores using btcs is not a good example, waiting network confirmation,  but if someone goes abroad and must convert fiat money paying fees and coming back to convert it again in his local currency then he would be willing to try it.

might be one among the user who was aware of such development and about its decentralized features. This video is an example that not only younger generations use bitcoin, there are older ones who are more used to it.

So how old is the "older generation"? I'm 74, and I've just hit middle age, when do I join this older generation? Smiley

Hi. I think it would be when you begin feeling that you are in an older portion in the society. When you start having to pause to catch your breath every 20 meters when you walk. Well if you are really 74, congratulations! Not everyday do I see a member here that is old-enough. Can you share your secrets in life. Thanks.

P.S.

I really trust that you are not trolling.

So I was watching pranks last night and came accross MagicRahat channel.
He was pranking to pay apple pay with a real apple here  https://youtu.be/-BP6880VzfM
then there's this grandma said, you know about bitcoin? It's untraceable.

Just gonna leave it here to share. There is also a couple of it bein mentioned in other videos.
Imo it kinda help to make people aware of it.

Its nice to  see this  kind  of   event  on which even  old people do  already  have awareness on bitcoins existence which is indicating that  bitcoins  adoption do really  increasing  and we  could really expect that  bitcoins price  would  surely rise  up  on the future. Thanks for  sharing this  OP.

Hahaha thats why they say listen to your elders, though it was a prank but it's good that Bitcoin got promoted. One interesting thing is that the seniors are also paying attention to Bitcoin. I was under the impression they would be passing it, as it gets to confusing to understand. But I guess times are changing and it's good to see that the elders are leading the way, hopefully many will see this video and get into Bitcoins, more the better.
