Some people have already used green energy for mining and it needs very long time to return ROI that being used to buy the solar panel and all of things to build the green energy mining.

I think that this will never be profitable

"Never" is definitely too strong a word - see what is happening in the world: long time ago people realized that the transition to green energy is necessary. In my opinion currently the biggest obstacle is not economic - the price of energy from solar panels is dropping year by year, but more social and political: tens thousands of miners (and their families) in many countries are afraid of losing their jobs and governments, not wanting to lose so many voters, are afraid to introduce radical solutions enabling faster transition to the green page.
This year, many countries in the European Union have declared that they will switch to renewable energy sources in the next several dozen years. Did you know that, for example, in Germany in 2000, 6% came from renewable sources, and in 2019 their share increased to 44%, this year they are approaching 50%. Of course this process will start with richer countries, but this trend is already visible....

So it won't happen in year or two but in really near future....

Honestly, I'm not particularly strong in mining, because I'm mainly engaged in trading, but I can say with confidence that mining is not so profitable and popular as it was before..

Hi everyone! Been trying to research about green mining for an essay. I found two projects that got my attention, one is Moonlite which already successfully finished their ICO and the otherone is Togacoin, who are apparently doing pretty well now.

Suggestions? Please and thanks!

It maybe my experience but most of the mining or power related projects going through ICO or IEO has been a disastrous till date. Much hyped projects like Ice rock mining and hyped, still active but worthless Wepower has made their investors sad.
Mining itself is losing attraction, bitcoin mining would sustain but it won't be profitable for everyone and everywhere and people and projects are moving into POS system.

I actually don't know any green mining project, but I love the concept of green mining. I know mining requires a great deal of electricity and if renewable energy is utilized for mining it would help reduce or eliminate the toxic waste which could have been produced by electricity generation plants.

I looked more closely at the Togacoin project, it seemed pretty good to me!

This post is really helpful. Actually the two projects that you are considering to invest are really good. One is established and another is working hard. On is in reality and another is in future. So if you do not want to take risk then you can invest in moonlite and if you want to take risk then you can choose togacoin.

If you are interested in ICO projects that are engaged in the development of a blockchain platform based on green energy, I can recommend you to see: GreenX; CryptoSolarTech or WePower. All of them have almost the same idea.

As per the difficuly increase and i thought that the mining will become more and more difficult and the consume of electricity will increase a lot in every period. That's a bad decision to invest in the green energy mining. It will not give you a lot of energy. For big scale miners and it will be totally useless. It's helping you to fill a small percentage of electricity.
I hope you have heard the phase that “little drops make the mighty ocean”. Though the electricity saved by green energy mining is less, it’s worth something atleast. And this is just the start; the technology will keep on upgrading in future. Here is what togacoin does in short “it separates the mining operations from the electricity costs, as well as diversifying investments to make the business safer and more independent from any market variable”.

i really think that we have to go in that direction!

i don't say that mining is a waste of energy, but if this energy can be green, it's better.

very interesting and useful information. I also see this project is very out and can show a positive development. I will try to analyze and find out about moonlite and togacoin. and hopefully a lot of positive things in it.

Look around, it's plenty of green energy mining projects. I saw a lot of projects.
green energy is our future, we need to adopt it as soon as possible.

I totally agree on you most of them are african based ICO's which is a good thing when this one erodes on african sectors. Well this will be a good addition to the market because africa is a big country although it's not that rich i think if people will be starting to develop blockchain project that may benefit this continent i believe it will be a very big help. Go try checking this one, Hydrominer. I don't really know bout this one but someone recommends it to me. I believe it's now on it's presale stage.

Both these projects are great if we consider use case here. I would personally recommend investing in moonlight as it is based on NEO platform as we know that projects that launch on NEO platform have some real world application and innovative ideas.

Moonlight is a decentralized workforce and project management platform anchored on the NEO blockchain. It provides improved liquidity to conventional resource management activities by integrating 'gig economy' mechanics into an analytical project management platform.

True. We need to adopt green energy mining as soon as possible because the electricity that is burned to complete as single transaction is way too much and we need an alternative if we want crypto to take over and digitalize the world. In November, the power consumed by the entire bitcoin network was estimated to be higher than that of the Republic of Ireland. Therefore, just think how adversely this is affecting our environment.

Maybe you still need to pay attention to two great green energy projects.
The first is Wepower, which is currently in most trading searches.
The second project is about to start crowdfunding, called Eloncity.
Wepower is indeed a good project and was recently in quite hype. It’s getting listed on top exchanges and has already attracted attention from many investors. WePower fuels renewable energy production by enabling developers to raise capital by selling their energy production upfront in the form of tradable Smart Energy Contracts. I don’t really know about Eloncity, we surely do some research on it.

Yes, you are right. Moonlite is based on utilizing the geothermal electricity which makes it eco-friendly and cheap. Togacoins are also successful eco-friendly coins in the market.

There are already some number of projects which do propose green mining which do litterally mines with the use of natural source or electricity which arent harmful into the environment either windmills, solar panels, hydroelectricity and other sources of energy which doesnt really need consume or do cause harmful effects in the environment.
For now i dont have any track of those projects if they do able to proceed or achieve their targets or do normally failed and died out in the end.

Be extremely careful with all ICO, but particularly with those that deal with mining. It is very easy to fall into a bobytrap.
