Hopefully the OP lets us know what is going on soon. I'd like 6 units and a controller if this group buy goes through. Thanks.

The company I work for has two manufacturing plants in China, and I might be able to arrange to have an order shipped there and then to Indiana (near Louisville, Ky).  I'll check with the guys I know over there, to see if they would be willing to forward everything to me.  My employer also allows us to ship via UPS using their rates so shipping within the US would be very reasonable.

For the people that have spoken to Gridseed, what kind of lead time are we looking at after the payment is received?  Do we know how they will handle RMA's?  I am assuming the product will have to be shipped back to them.

So far, the things need to be in motion to move forward.

1. Escrow (reputable person only)
2. A person who held a previous group buy to join this

In for 10-30 mattering the terms that can be arranged and payment method. I assume USD will be accepted in some form since you have to pay Gridseed with fiat.

Price is at least $90 cheaper than all other group buys, so is op undercharging or others overcharging? Having said that i am also in at that price.

Others are over charging by almost 100-200%

That is what I was thinking also. I really hope we can get this one going.

I am in for at least 20 at that price ... already have 10 of the lightningasic ones, but that was 1.5x more expensive.  Going to need a great housing solution if this goes through.

Frieght forwarders .. I have not dealt directly with any of these, but all are large and have good reps... these may actually be too large.  I suspect a lot of forwarders go by the pallet but it is worth asking:

http://www.ems.com.cn/mainservice/cnpl/e_guo_ji_wu_liu.html
http://www.tibagroup.com/cn/freight-forwarders-china (not chinese, but looks like they have substantial chinese ops)

Make sure to ask what incoterms apply - it makes a big difference in cost (for example, insurance you may need to buy seperately depending on the incoterm applied).

Also, most forwarders only deliver to an international port - from there you need to arrange pickup.

+1 for a forwarding company

So what is a trustworthy forwarding company in China? Anyone have suggestions?

I've been inquiring about this from many to no avail. Expect no help here on the forum, knowledge is power

Alibaba.com can be a good source  Smiley
