^. True.
But the thing is you see, no matter how much we analyze things, or no matter the design or whatever for that matter, this is Cryptlandia.
Gut feeling, manipulation, being lucky, being unlucky are all equally possible & real. You can't 'box in' everything.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
The longer I read this thread the more I become convinced that people do not know what the words "By Design" mean and definitely do not DYOR and finally do not listen to those that do.

@yefi. Agreed.

@tranthidung. I like the pump, however the price will always behave in compliance on how grin's monetary supply was designed to do. This will be a pumpers versus the miners scenario and the miners have unlimited supply.

You shouldn't confuse a pump for a sustained recovery  Roll Eyes

Anyway, looking good.

Farewell o_e_l_e_o
Finally, Grin coin bottomed out from nearly 25000 satoshis and bounced back dramatically from that bottom. Currently Grincoin has been exchanged aroudn 34000 satoshis. That means Grin coin has recovered well from its bottom. To see the bottom, it is better to use the 1-day price chart, that give us clearer overview on the long downward trend of Grin coin and a vague feeling that the coin has probably ended its downward trend. Things will be clearer and confirmed (bottom found yet or not) in the next few weeks.

Grin is not for profit by p/d speculation. Too much mining. That's why I think it's normal that price is down. Bcz of such tokenomics has been made for no_speculation. It's another side of the stable coin by the infinitive deflation. But that's why price discussion is not important for Grin. Mass adoption, applications, other use cases, may be, something else

Unfortunately I dont think you can untie them.  People might want to jump in but see a price that might be cheaper on the horizon they are going to wait.  Price will always be tied to crypto (at least for the near foreseeable future)

Hashrate halved in last month https://2miners.com/grin-network-hashrate

I know a lot of people who turned off their miners or just switched.  Hopefully this mini rebound will stick.  Still watching patiently sitting on the sidelines.

@Febo. Is that chart correct? grinmint.net has 0.85 kg/s and 47.678 kg/s on the primary and secondary hashrates. Your website has 947.58 kg/s of the total grin hashrate?

You are right that pool is 3rd  https://miningpoolstats.stream/grin-c29

@Cryptotourist. grinmint.net should have an all time chart of the total of both the primary and secondary hashrates to give everyone a clearer picture.

Thanks, but no they don't (grinmint.com).

2miners do only c29 (secondary).

@Cryptotourist. We should not become exceedingly excited. If you are bagholding, you should relax and do not make an error by buying more. Remember grin's inflation and monetary policy. This is also a miner's coin, especially in the beginning.

I'm hodler in Grin dude. As I have stated before, I'm not worried about inflation & monetary policy in Grin.
Sure I have shorted it, but only to make my stack bigger. I'm not funding it any more if that's what you're wondering.

In any case, where can we check a chart of grin's all time hashrate?

Good question.
I checked, but all I could find was some pool charts - not showing the whole picture (2miners for example).
Difficulty won't do I suppose.

I bought a little. Seems like its ripe for some pumpery with current action.

To bottom or not to bottom. Tongue
No $0.5 Grin yet, but either it's going full anal soon, or we could call ~23k sat the bottom.
Alts seem to be on the rebound.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
ya with all the new ASICs launched down and down grin goes.
i was wanting to grab some more, but now im thinking its just gonna keep going down : /
fiat wise i guess its doing not bad tho, 2$
Personally, Grincoin is interesting altcoin, but I might try to patiently waiting next 6 months to buy the coin. I wish that I might have cheaper price to buy Grin coin. In addition, I also hope that next 6 months, GUI wallet will be available for non-technical users. Such GUI wallet will help Grin coin to catch more investors' eyeballs as well as capital flow, that in turn might help Grin coin rallying from its bottom (if we actuallly see Grin Coin bottom within next 6 months).

ASIC miners won't cause the price to dump, ASICs are not evil by definition, they might be handled correctly and I believe the GRIN team is handling them the best way I've ever seen with their roadmap.

I believe that in the current prices, ASICs will pump the price. Here's my reasoning,
With GRIN being so low in market cap (#175-#200), there won't be many or even any opportunist ASIC buyers who are buying an ASIC in order to make a quick cash from the rising prices.
The ones who will buy an ASIC will be investors who believe in the strength and future of GRIN and they are willing to mine for a loss in order to accumulate coins and support the network.
This should essentially push out c31 GPU miners who are just mining whatever algo is more profitable and exchange everything they mine to BTC because they happen to have a strong GPU.
