Initial group buy on these plates will be wrapping up this week.  If anyone in the US needs the sideplates, now is the time to get them with cheap shipping!

note my plates are working well. just watch  that you do not pinch the wire as I did when screw the plate on.

these are sturdy and well made.

I am happy with them.

Nylon spacers ordered, great idea Phil.  Thank you for your input

For the time being, anyone that's receiving the plates either use a spacer of their own or do not over-tighten the supplied screws.  Only lightly tighten them until the plate makes contact to the side of the PSU's.

other then that one issue  the plate is sturdy and  works well.

I am very surprised to hear that Phil, I haven't used the DPS-2500 but I have mounted a few with the DPS-2000BB's and had absolutely no problems. How far down did you run the screws in, they weren't completely flush with the PSU (bending the plate) were they?  When they are tightened down so that the plate sits flush with the outside it wasn't any deeper than the stock screw.  I'm anxious to see pictures, and really sorry to hear about this.  I will 100% be looking into spacers.

blew this fuse,  look far right  see screw hole and 3 wires  I pinned one of those wires with the screw.

on heat sink  you can see  a small mark where it arced/shorted.

the fix ¼ inch nylon spacer. in my case a pair of ⅛ nylon spacers

 the fix installed

 second shot

better shots of how it can go wrong
only one of the two psus can be shorted  since they lay end to end with  connecting plates reversed.
all of these psus have the ac power light wires  which is what was caught by the screw

Phil,

The PSU's are VERY sturdy when mounted together without 2-sided tape.  The white plastic clips are a tight fit into the plates though (they need some wiggling and persuasion), and they only go one way (the longer skinnier side goes into the plate, wider shorter side into the PSU bodies). The white clips go into the breakout board side of the PSU's into blank the 2 blank holes, one centered one offset. The two 6-32 screws towards the C19 end need to be removed, and replaced with the supplied longer 6-32 screws through the plate.

You won't need the 2-sided tape for mounting them securely, but something like that or weather stripping might be beneficial to seal the plate to the PSU's a little tighter for airflow.

Let us know how it goes!

and I shorted out a psu the 6-32 screws supplied were a bit too long.

so I when tightened them  my dps-2500 shorted and tripped the breaker.

my suggestion is  2  use a spacer .

I had a long day and will show all details tomorrow.

Typo on the shipping prices 1-2 for 7.50 should be 1-4 for 7.50

I think I need 4 of them so 4 x 14 is 56

And hardware kits  4 x 2 is 8. Sub total of 64

And 7.50    Shipping.     total price of 71.50

Phil,

you are correct, $7.50 in shipping can include up to 4 plates.

and your math is correct, $71.50 total.  When you are ready, go ahead and convert (at current rate of $574.82 that would be BTC0.124 to the address provided, and sign PM me a signed message containing your shipping address.

Nhando, I will PM you a total and BTC address for your order.  Thanks for the shout-out, the 4K's are SO much better once they're stable and all tied in with these plates.  You are going to be thrilled, I promise. It was worth the wait Smiley

I am on my iPad mini

I will do this later today.

I will take 3 of them to test, kind sir Finksy.  I don't know the whole sign thing, so whenever you're ready, just PM me and I will send the payment.

P.S For those that don't know...........these IBM 4KW bundle are also awesome when paired with a small PSU for Ethereum mining.  I'm powering easily 18-24 x RX480 with just 1 x 4KW bundle.  So quiet and efficient!
