Hey guys,

I'm here right now, meeting with prodigits7 in Boston, MA. We're currently discussing NEO-ASICs logistics information and about shipping orders. The great news is that we can start shipping out right away, as soon as the chips arrive, so there's no lag time or delays in getting these units out to everybody that wants them. He's helping me get through everything right now, including this chip situation as well as my depression which has been very hard on me. So it's good to have support and somebody else that can help out as much as he can. Also JohnK or any other moderators can confirm my current location by checking the IP address of this post.

I'm sorry again for not getting back sooner but you will be hearing from me much more often and more frequently on here. I'm gonna try to post everyday on the Blog section of NEO-ASICs website as well. You can find that here: http://neo-asics.com/blog/

everything reeks of scamcity these days..

toss this onto the heap as well

has anyone got refunded by paypal yet? i sent him pms and emails but there is no refund yet so far. i am really worried because there are only a few days left until paypal's 45 days limitation is passed. i understand most of you guys paid him with btc and are in more precarious situation than i am but i just feel that i am alone since i could not join the claims group. i don't know what to do now. should i claim a dispute citing this thread as a proof or as a unauthorized transaction? can anyone please tell me what to do?

by the way, he gave me two paypal addresses with different names for group buy. i could not send to the first one because it says the account is limited. i should had known something was very fishy back then but i was too muddleheaded and sent $400 to the second paypal address he gave me. i am not allowed to give personal information here so i will just mention first 2 initials of that account owner name. first name starts with "St" and last name starts with "Li".

He seems to be ignoring the KNC miner group buy.

I just wanted to note that I am going to be pursuing this in small claims court.  I will be getting the forms signed and notarized as soon as John provides me with his information.

JohnK - can you investigate who this "Gary" is and get his number / confirm current situation? If a guy that appears out of the blue can get in touch by phone and get a status update, surely you would be able to get in touch too to appease the crowds/verify the info?

To raging/friend: it is in your best interest to have JohnK/Ryepdx verify how/who you get in touch with from Avalon/Gary (Who is this guy?). This buy appears more and more like a scam, particularly due to you being the only ones able to get updates (despite a lot of folks trying to)

The Gary mentioned here has a sf-express.com email address as given by ragingazn to me not long ago, which is the company involved in sending the chips. (it's a courier service based in China) I'm currently drafting an email to him to get the situation clear here.

John,

Can this Gary fellow help us change the destination address, or will we need to contact Yifu directly?

I am offering my 51 chips for sale.

PM offers.

at this point I am wondering if there are a few people who want to step forward and state how many chips/boards they would want to buy from the rest.

If there are a few whales that 'still believe' I think they could grab many even at below cost

I have 36 chips and two orders for k16s - I could be bought out pretty easily at this point

LOL if he refunds he did them a favor.
IF being the operative word.

Right until KNC does a solid and sends out way more Gh per unit than they promised which they have been hinting at since the beginning

Well, raginazn is listed as a chip supplier at burnin's assembly operation website, here:

http://www.burninmining.com/product/complete-bitburner-module-watercooled-by-anfi-tec-1-board/

so that is promising, at least.

I am not part of the GB but have to say I found this statement extremely funny:

Not hard at all. Hundreds of people in on these group buys, only a couple of chuckleheads pulling out the pitchforks.  Wink

Being one of the chuckleheads, I didn't even bother to comment. I believe I've collected enough info for a small claims court filing vs. Mr. N...n (aka Ragingazn and a few more incarnations). I understand that supporting 3 relatives is hard for a middle-aged underemployed immigrant from a poor (but quickly developing) country. I'm sympathetic with that, I really am. But I refuse to sponsor scam. Besides, stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars is a pretty serious offense around where I live.

Currently, looking to confirm my info before filing a claim. If you have anything, please compare it with the 3 bits I gave above and if they match, we can compare it further.

Do what you gotta do with your thing, just keep your shit out of this thread.

There's no evidence that he's done anything wrong here, considering that the chips haven't even been shipped by Avalon. If we get to that point, and there's evidence of wrongdoing, I'll be the first to dust off my pitchfork and greasy torch. Meanwhile, please keep the FUD out of this thread.

You should probably check the other thread then...

Exactly.. he ran a KNC group buy and collected enough BTC to order 11 and 1/2 KNC Jupiters starting back in June and supposedly he never even ordered the hardware...

What you think he's gonna do with 10,000+ Avalon chips and 425 stolen BTC? You think he's going to ship out the chips like he didn't screw over the KNC group buy customers? 425 BTC would get 10,000 Avalon chips assembled pretty easy... Notice he had a prototype Avalon clone. Ahem, how was that payed for? KNC group buy funds?

I'm not buying that your random friend (possibly a sock puppet) desoldered chips from an Avalon he bought off Ebay so you could make this clone. Avalons on Ebay were going for insane money, again, how did you pay for this? KNC group buy funds?

This whole thing is so sketchy. I hate myself for having 13 BTC tied up here.
