Just to come back on my thought. By re-reading the OP, I saw that the TDP was 120W, just as the RX 470. If that's not 80W as I thought, there's not a big deal here...

that's the tdp, you can tweak your power limit to have 80 at 20, hell i can do 140w at 20 with a 970, there is no reason to believe that a 1060 do only 20mh at 120w, would be very bad

Well, but comparing it to the RX 470, 100$ cheaper for the same performances, led me to finally coming back to the AMD side after an afternoon at Greens' side Tongue.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/10478/asus-and-inno3d-tease-cusutom-gtx-1060-cards

ASUS already has 3 custom versions of the 1060 to tease

"ASUS has teased three separate renditions of the GeForce GTX 1060, as pictured above. These include a Turbo card with a blower, the Dual with two fans, and an ROG STRIX card. The last of which has the same cooler as the ROG STRIX 1080 and 1070, and as hinted by the AURA logo may feature the same RGB lighting found in the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 ROG STRIX cards."

70W Shocked ?!! If what Amph says, more than 20 MH/s for only 80W (even 19 MH/s would make me really happy for that consumption), I'll reserve some money and maybe buy four of these nice little monsters Grin !

I'll be able to mine at home and just pass my mom a few dollars towards electricity until I go away to college in the fall again. The 1060 is looking like it might be my ideal primary GPU for general use and mining on the side. I'll pick up a power guzzler for my old computer when I actually go away to college with electric free (technically paid for on a fixed price for the dorm)

Another leak about it outperforming the 480 and being on the level of the 980

90w for 20MH is good, now i'm doing 140w for 20MH with a 970, 33% less consumption and same hash

but on the other algo it has still all the problem of the 1070, so waiting fix for neoscrypt  and eth on win 7...

Wait for couple of days - card is nice (true 120w )
But on the perf side for eth its memory limited - for other algos its a bit faster then 970
in eth at stock its 92w at 20 mhs sharp (further is memory OC)
I dont know the price exactly - soon it will be revealed
I have final sample and will retest today and post back what I found
In gaming its a gem - beats 480 just a tad slower of 980

It will be only 192bit for memory so don`t expect match, also price will be huge with 480x debacle, 250-289$
I expect no more then 20Mh/s in ethereum

Its shame AMD can`t compete with NV so prices we see in future will stay high

it might do more than 20 due to high oc possibility, like 22MH at 80w

Sure its all on memory if it can be pushed more then 22-23Mhz will be doable

IF (really big IF):

1)hash is about 22-23mhs

2) power draw is 80w

3) No more than 250$

=WIN  for mining ETH

....well see

That is just a figure suggested by Amph. If that is true, it will be much better than the 480 or even 1070.

20 MH would be good if we are talking about the 3gb version

I know the MH/W figures for stock clocks. Not bad but also not a huge surprise. Can't tell more  Lips sealed

I might actually wait for it so I can buy 1060+480 for the price of a 1070 Grin

you mean the usual 192/8 = 24MH?

since we have 27MH at 100w for the 1070 at stock

here should be 20MH at 70w? and up to 24MH in oc at 90-100w, which would make it worse....

You forget the 84% bandwidth efficiency, so 24*0.84 = 20MH is what's to expect.

If my maths are good:

1070 : 430$

rx 480: 230$

So the price would be 200$ ?

mhh RX470 then Grin.

What is the price of the card at release ? Exact release date ? I have found that the card will be released on 13 july and the price will be 250$ right ? 250$ is a bit much because after release it will get upto @300$ i am sure .
