Gigabyte Windforce OC 3Gb

Ethash
Power limit: 80
Core: 1300 (-400)
Memory: 4800 (+1000, Samsung)
Fan: 60% (62C, open case)
Speed: 25.5 Mh/s (ethminer), Claymore Dual miner with current clocks make every share faulty.

Neoscrypt
Power limit: 100
Core: 1900 (+150)
Memory: 4600 (+850, Samsung)
Fan: 65% (69C, open case)
Speed: 820 kh/s (hsrminer), 750 kh/s (ccminer KlausT) - don't know if hsrminer showing real numbers, some ppl says they are not real.

Try reducing to 90 power limit and drop your memory to nothing. Memory clock has no impact on neoscrypt.

My new sets of 1060s came in Smiley. The ssc is mining 5 mh more over my other 1060s. Wow the difference is amazing even though it is a Hynix memory.

My SSC is 24MHs, my FTWs do 20MHs. All 3 are Samsun memory.

Were  they new? All of mine were Hynix from the new batches.

Have seen the Asus P106-100 cards and they are basically these cards with 6gb on the pcb but made for mining only as they don't have any dvi or vga output in the back of the card.
I know that msi makes their own variation of this card as well.
They have been sold out for months now as with any of these cards now.

Unless they come at a big discount they won't really be worth it, the resale value of them is practically 0 since they are useless for anything else.

I have been getting my Zotac AMP! 1060 with Micron to 23.6 on Ethash with +700 on mem, -20 on core and the fan running at 50% fan (65-68°) at 80% power limit, seemed to be the lowest power drain (between 66 and 75 according to GPUZ, no idea why it fluctuates so much)

I have GTX 1060 MSI gaming x plus 6gb (samsung), mining zcash 345sols per card with dstminer power limit 70%, core clock +100, memory clock +500. Running smoothly...

I will try this later.  Thanks! I didn't realize that I should lower my core that much.

Hi, sorry to disturb, what are the best settings for GTX 1060 3G to mine neoscrypt using ccminer (clausT)? I have set PL 70%, clk +150, mem -502.

Cheers W_M

Power 90
Core 250
Memory -anything, has no real impact

core 250?Huh? its really too much!!!!

i agree, I experimented today and went down to Core 210 with barely a hashrate drop.

got ETH mining working

got tuned to 23-24 mining ETH, bounces in between with ethminer.

Any 1060 models have issues with certain fan speed %? Like running my EVGA 1060 SC on 60% fan speed daily OK? Im sure people run them higher just curious if any models have like a limit, or start clicking, or known to fail etc etc. if anyone has experience with such instances.

Then whats a solid temp to maintain these cards at 55? 60? 65?

Ideally keep temp below 70C and fan at 80% or less, but if you have to live with violating one of these then definitely go with running the fan harder, not letting the temp climb higher.

I have a 6x gtx 1060 3gb... and the temperature doesnt grow more than 55*celsius.... the place Where i keep them is very cold ...almost 15 *celsius and is a big room(OPEN space). Dont have problem with them

If by Elpida mean Micron for the Nvidias, then it is in the middle of Hynix and Samsung. OK  I guess.  and its better than Hynix.

Tbh, I didn't know that elpida only in AMD cards. I thought it's exist but extremely rare in nvidia.

how accurate is gputemp's temperature reading? ive been using it for a couple days now and both gpus are about 55 degrees celcius every time i check. i live in quite a hot country (most days are over 30 degrees) so was worried about them overheating but from what ive been reading, others usually have their gpus running at around 70 degrees.

is msiburner a better alternative to manage temp and adjust gpu settings?

since this is my first rig i dont want to push the gpus to their limit so im tempted to leave them running as is (im currently mining a ITNS (cryptonoight), averaging around 900h/s over 24 hours)

I use Afterburner with custom fan curve, targeting between 65-70 degrees (windforce oc 3GB). But you can always take off gpu fans and using zip-ties put your own silent 120mm or 80mm fans powered by 12v, 7v or 5v from molex connector (as I do on some old 280x's).

Crypto night algorithm is light on temperature and power. So no big worries there. 55c is good.
If you switch to other algo like eth or other you may see increase in temp and watts.
Up to 65C I would say you are ok. Of course the lower the better Smiley

Samsung mem 1060's on ETH runs with 22-24 mh/s. hynix maximum is 20.
On equihash about 300, no matter what memory provider (ewbf).
Never had experience with elpida memory btw. Is it as bad as hynix on ETH mining?
