At the moment I'm getting 19 and about 280-290 sols  on gigabyte windforce oc 3gb hynix memory

Sounds awesome, is this overclocked and stuff?

Why do you guys reduce the core?

Can't seem to get a response

I'm wondering the same.

Lessen the heat and also the electricity.
For ethereum u need more ram speed apposed to core speed.
For zcash u need ram speed but also more core speed unfortunately.

Yes, it's the 6GB version.
I've set 85% power limit to stay near 100W and I'm pulling a constant 200 - 201 MH/s.

200 megahashes on what algorithm?

I am keen to buy the "Palit Geforce GTX 1060 Stormx 3G NE51060015F9-1061F 3GB"

what do u think

Not opportised stock Lenovo laptop y520, i5, GTX 1060 6GB max-q design, mining with 16.5MH/S, however the return seems to go down massively since the ethereum upgrade, I though the miner revenue is going up, is this not the case?

Thank you for your contribution. As surprising as it is, not so many people posted the hashrates they get. Could you please give me what you can get on Groestl and Neoscrypt ?

ccminer 1.8.1 benchmark, 368.95 drivers

Groestl: 25.94

Neoscrypt: 662.61

LBRY seems to be the most profitable now, unless there are some other undiscovered coins that I don't know.
I have 6 VGA 1060 and my PSU has only 1000w
Run very stable

Why did you under clock the core?

I've been playing around with the clocks a bit, it seems to me that higher core clocks don't have any influence on the hashrate in my setup or maybe even reduce it... Besides the card was oc from the box so I figured I might as well reduce it a little bit just for the sake of slighlty smaller temp and power usage (I know it's probably pennies) Wink

I'm wondering the same.

it's because the impact on performance is less important than memory clock and by lowering core clock you need less power and less heat. It's all a question of trying out. I see that many people achieve a better result with negative core clocks. Same for me, cards crashes faster when using positive core clocks.

P4ndoraBox: you could probably earn more by sticking to ETH alone. With that type of card you could reach 24MH/s for ETH instead of 20, it's probably worth more than the other currencies you're going to mine.

Well... I'm comparing a bit with whattomine.com. I find it rather strange it says that DGB earning is only around 0.0018 btc / day for 13x1060, and when I do my own calc, I get around 0.00325 btc. ( In a situation I would sell daily, but I'm mining for long term )

Not sure if it's the same about single mining ETH. I could try a bit but I don't know, I'm quite confortable with DGB numbers that are accumulating in my wallet.

So I made some test with dual mining Eth-DCR with my 5 x 1060 6 go EVGA with 9 ghz of memory instead of the usual 6 ghz.

I think there is something wrong with either my drivers or whatever, even if they are all Samsung, because I don't think I have good hashrates. I don't really care since I'm mining DGB only, and probably BTG in a week.

You may look at the pictures, everything is there. I didn't touch at intensity via bat files though.

-----------------

My mining rig setup ( old picture, I have a bit more gpus as of today )

The cards I've tested ( All samsung ) :

Stock mining ( You may have to zoom ) :

Overclocked Mining ( Can't go higher than 875 memory clock, was not patient enough to find the sweetspot ) :

There you go, that's all for the EVGA 1060 FTW2+. I'm going back to dgb mining until now.

Stock mining : 17 MH/s for ETH and  170 MH/s DCR per card. Around 63 deg Celcius

Overclocked mining : 58-59C, 20.65 MH/s for ETH and 206 MH/S for DCR. 67% Power limit.

Decent hashrate for low electricity consumption. Since they all have samsung memories, I think they worth the shot.

If you ask me if I will buy more of these cards : Yes

Ok I've been procrastining enough already.

Give me one hour from now, maybe two.

I'll test some EVGA 1060 6 go with 9 go of memory clock instead of the usual 6 go.

I'll make some dual mining using claymore, dual mining DCR.

I'll do it for around 30 minute. I'll post stock specs, then I'll do with overclock specs.

After a stable 30 minutes of overclocked mining, I'll share the result here. Numbers will prove by itself if it's best to spend the 30-40$ CAD more to get the +3 go at memory clock.

I'm currently mining Digibyte, via myriad groestl, and they give me the best hashrates compared to my other 1060s 6 go, but not enough to justify to buy a bit higher since than other ones. I have currently 5 of them, and waiting my 6th one next week to complete one of my rig.

Stay tuned.

Gtx 1050 are so cheap so if I bought maybe 5 or 10 would I yield a lot from it?
Yes and no.
The 1050 TI's mhs/W ratio is slightly worse than the 1060 so you will have higher electricity bill for the same performance.
The hash/USD ratio of the 1060 3GB and the 1050 TI 4GB is about the same. However, you need more rigs with more fixed hardware costs (MoBos, CPU, RAM module, PSU, HDD/SSD) to get the same performance as a single 1060 rig. Those rigs also consume more power.

~$1000 = 049 mhs 2x1060 rig     0.049 mhs/$
~$1200 = 059 mhs 4x1050TI rig. 0.049 mhs/$
~$1600 = 088 mhs 6x1050TI rig. 0.055 mhs/$
~$1650 = 098 mhs 4x1060 rig.    0.059 mhs/$
~$2250 = 147 mhs 6x1060 rig.    0.065 mhs/$
In general,  the mhs/$ ratio is better with 1060, unless you get really cheap 1050 TIs and you have additional hardware just laying around.
So yes, you will get money out of it (as long as you get 1050 TIs), but you would get more out of the 1060. And even more if you went with 480s but they are pretty hard to come by lately for an acceptable price.

^^

You may as well compare with that calculator : https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator

Your best bet is 1060 6 go for future resale value and 480.
