Out of the box is where I live

I'm using 10 GTX 1060 in my rig running under Ubuntu 16.04

I get an average slightly above 230Mh/s

I have cards from different manufacturers (EVGA and MSI) so settings may vary.
Usually max power 75W, core clock -200, memory between +1100 and +1600
I have Samsung memory on all cards.

EVGA model is a bargain:
EVGA single fan

Models from MSI:
MSI double fan / armor
MSI Single fan

I forgot to add temps. I'm between 47 and 55°C with nothing else than the factory fan.

I also see an increase. I'm around 12$ day now with 230MH/s on average

Pendra37: how do you calculate the dag limit? I have only 3Gb cards and I know from the start that there will be an end but when is more difficult to predict. Will POS allow 3Gb cards to continue working?
Power meter in the wall indicates 850-900W for the whole rig (motheboard, gpu, psu, ssd, cpu,...)

earnings aren't tripled.  It's ~25% increase.  With byzantium difficulty is dropped back to ~1600 from ~3000 while the mining rewards are 3 ETH/blk from 5 ETH/blk
I see ~20-30% increase as well.

The question is, how will this affect the ETH price. Won't this increase of ETH supply drop the price like 30%? Also, how will this affect the epoch time and the POS and the DAG? It was calculated that the DAG will not grow over 3GB for another 12-14 months and by that time, it will be POS anyway. However, the drop of diff will make epoch pass faster and it may outgrow the 3GB cards before POS.

I get about 410-450 MH/s with 18 GTX 1060 6GB's
I run power limit 75%
MEm clock +550
They run at +- 65c
Now with the byzantium hard fork my earnings got trippled.
I now have an etimated earning of 1010$ a month at ethermine.

I'm trying to test out nicehash miner for amd and nvidia
Someone use this miner? Can post results guys?
Because the old version 2.0.0.8 with excavator the hashrate was 24.5mh each 1060 now is just 21mh with 2.0.1.2 is worse now..

Hello fellow 1060 owners,

Any one mining scrypt algo with GTX 1060.

If so would you mind sharing your ccminer version (what fork) please, also your hash rate as well.

I'm using tpruvot (on ubuntu nvOC), seems getting low hash rate, if possible please share your OC settings as well.

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

Anyone with 1060 Gigabyte windforce OC 6G here?

I got 6 of them in my rig. Hynix memory  Cry

I'm pulling 1700-1750 sols on Zcash out of the box. do you have settings to get better hashrate?

Tried eth but i can't OC the cards more than mem + 500 or miner crashes.
I was getting 15,5Mh out of the box, 18,8Mh with core-200 mem+500 but even then it's not stable. i get hashrate drops and crashes. anyone had the same issue? got a solution?
i'm sad because i have another 1060 6G KFA2 in my main computer and i'm getting 24Mh on eth with ethminer. I was expecting to be able to get the cards of my rig to a 22 or 23 Mh due to hynix mem but it seems that's not the case or I have a problem that i'm not aware of...

And what else do you mine with your cards right now? Eth, Zcash, xmr, ... ?

I though Zcash is more dependent on core frequency not memory. I get 276 sols on my gtx 1060 WF2OC 3GB with Hynix and 290 sols on 1060 WF2OC 6gb with samsung memory.  Both clocked at +0 core +500 Mhz memory and 85% power limit.

On a side note 1700-1750 sounds fair enough for gtx 1060.  How much have you seen gtx 1060 crunching more?

I have 6 MSI gtx 1060 Gaming X 6gb all have Samsung memory

Power Limit 50
Temp Limit 73 (Running at 65)
Core +100
Memory +850
24.320 mh/s

I have a 7th card MSI GTX 1060 Armor 6gb with hynix memory  Cry
Core+100
Memory +500
18.9 mh/s  Undecided

How did you manage to get that? I have Msi gtx 6gb 1060 gaming x plus with samsung memory and there is no whey to get them over 22mhs no matter what I try. On the other hand gtx 1060 gigabayte extreme gaming (also samsung memory) gets me 25+mhs no matter what clock and power limit I set...

I am using afterburner with those settings and it works, one of them is actually a gaming , not gaming X but it performs the same when overclocked.

Thanks for sharing, I'm curious about ETH hashrate too if you can test it.

Didn't manage to run it, but I think it will be around 18.5 MH/s without manual OC.

Forgot to mention, my GPU is MSI ARMOR, core clock is 1900-1940 during mining (out of box speed), while tdp is 70-75%, temperature is 65-69 degress, ambient temperature is around 23.

Overall is seems to be 66% of GTX 1070 while being also 66% of it's price. So I would recommend to pick 1070 in most cases.

I run a couple rigs, one with 1060 3g and one with 1060 OC 6g and a couple 1070.  The 1070's do run about 30% better rates, however, they also suck more juice at the wall, which translates into more heat and cost. I'd rather not pay for a PC heater thanks.

Right now the most efficient and cost-effective rig (people are gonna be hatin' I'm sure) are EVGA 1060 OC 6g single fan.  A 6x rig will churn out 140mh/s+ while running at 68c and drawing only 500w at the wall.  THAT is not bad for a cheap (never thought I'd call a $270 card cheap) card.

Mining Eth (power between 60-65%, core 0, memory clock +400-600 depending on GPU)
ALL EVGA
1060 3g 18mh/s
1060 OC 6g 22.5-24 mh/s
PNY 1070 OC Gaming 32.5 mh/s

Biostar BTC 250 MoBo, 8g, SSD, Celeron, EVGA 850 G2 Gold... cheap cheap cheap, room for 8 gpu's on that PSU BTW

Hint: Cheap out on everything but the PSU. Cheap PSU can blow the entire rig or worse... burn your house down.

cheers

Don't change your core clock, and especially not -200.  The best stable I got underclocking the core was about -75.  I've abandoned that entirely. Try keeping the core at 0, power at 65, and start at +500 on the memory clock as you have it now.  Then run for a bit, and try adding +20 until you start becoming unstable.

You'll save on juice and should be able to get them above 22mh.  All rigs are different, but 18 on a 6g of any flavor is really low.

Is there any difference between EVGA GTX 1060 6GB single fan and the same "Superclocked" version? in terms of mining performance I mean...

Check one or two pages before, we just recently talked about it.

Memory type is one thing, but core clock mgz and memory clock mhz has an influences as an influence toward hashrates too, less than memory type though.

How do you guys decide which is the better crypto to mine?

Should i mine ETH? ZCASH? How to decide?

Everyone's different. Do you want to ROI as quickly as possible? Or are you playing the long-term hold game in the hope whatever you mine will gain value? Or do you want to support a particular project because you believe in their product/philosophy/whatever?

Personally I think mining whatever has good returns for efficiency and then converting into the coins you 'believe' in is a good approach. But that can be a lot of hassle. Some folks just want to set and forget.
