I could use a little help with resetting my blades. I've got two mining and two that I can no longer access from my browser.
Someone else built the rig for me so I am a complete newb at this.

I understand I can reset using either a jumper or even a paperclip.

Now...if someone will indulge me, I need a full step-by-step at this.

1. Which pins do I place the jumper on, and for how long? Is it the six pins by the ethernet port, or the four pins next to that?

2. How long do I hold the jumper on there for?

3. After reset, what address do I enter to config the blade? (I have my static IP at 10.0.1.2 and subnet mask at 255.255.255.0

If I can just access the config page I can get the settings back in line with my other two blades, but for now I am lost.

Thanks for any assistance.
Here is a pic of where the pins are. Just use the paperclip to jump points 2 and 3.  It only needs contact for a second while the blade is on. You will see the leds turn of and on on the blade.

After factory reset a Blade with resort to the factory IP address. http://192.168.1.254:8000

If your ip range is differnet you will need to adjust router setting to put you on the same IP range as your blade.

Yea that should take care of it. I was worried about the molex connectors melting. Seen reports of the cheap connectors over heating and melting so I just directly wired it up.

If mining proxy don't kick back in just, hit the switch server button to get it back on track

My proxy is returning "clean_jobs=False" right now, it might snap out of it in a few minutes(?)

Glad its working, if you continue to have issues I would go ahead and double up your power wires.

I run 4 yellow wires and 4 black, 2 wires to each terminal. Just to ensure it gets the power it needs, underpower will cause problems and burn out the equipment faster

Hmmm, I'll give that a try, no harm in running that many wires, right??

Right now I am using "C" only on the blade. You are saying I should add "D" as well?

I just figured it out. By walking away and going to the dog park my blade started working. No joke, the minute I walked out the door it started working. Ideally I'd like to find the root cause, but for at least for right now it's working.

Hi Guys,

Do I need to offer a bounty or post more pictures?

Please let me know what it takes for me to get to the bottom of this. I'm at the end of my rope here, feeling as though I have tried "everything".

Should be find, I had router issue that kept casing my disconnects

I've got a linksys wrt54g, not sure if that could be the issue.

I'm thinking about using a crossover cable to my PC, not sure if that will bring more headaches. For the life of me I cannot get this going steady!

Hello,

I've been having problems with stability on my blade, is this PSU good enough for 1 blade?

I can mine for a few minutes on proxy for Slush's pool, then it craps out on me. Had someone help me in chat via teamviewer, tried to setup BFGminer to run as the proxy but it didn't work, blade reported "sick" a few times.

I have this blade:

You want 16ga wiring for each wire channel, or larger (14). Anything smaller could cause issues. Also if the molex isn't properly soldered to the board or connected to the wire or the other molex, it could cause heat/melting.
For Molex, do I need to solder those doubled up cables, or just connect both into the screw? I didn't solder any cables, and maybe that's the problem?
What about pci-e?

It usually is written on the cable what gauge it is, but most of those splitters are 18ga, almost all molex wiring is unless it's the high-end stuff.

I used 16ga speaker wire and made my own power connections.
How come not many people have this problem then? IF this is common, posts regarding this should be all over.
Maybe it should be included in the guide stating that most Molex is 18ga and you need 16 or under...

The one I tried was

How do you know if it's 16ga or 14ga, and so on?
Would this be better?

I tried two molex cables, and the first got melted. The second one I turned off before it got crazy again.
Any thoughts why molex cables get so hot?

What's the difference between the green and the blue blades (not the original, but the single board blades)?
