I am using this PSU now. This has 2 lines (each line has 2 pci-e connectors). I am connecting the cube with 1 connector on each line. Is that what you mean?

I literally just laughed out loud.  Normally Newegg is pretty good about pictures illustrating the product.

But fark me sideways here.  This was the actual cable picture on the Newegg product page.

But you're right.  Maybe pictures will help?

I am running 1 cube with 2xPCI-E 6 pin power connectors. maybe I wasn't clear in my post. I said I have another PSU that has 4X PCI 6-pin connectors that I can test too with 1 cube on 2 different lines.

The picture was clear.  I think you aren't understanding the point being made.

The number of connectors isn't the issue.  The orientation is.

If those connectors are running off a single line to the power supply THAT is the issue.

Two connectors off 1 line = bad

Two connectors off 2 lines = good

Likewise

Four connectors off 2 lines = bad

Four connectors off 4 lines = good
(each line has 2 pci-e connectors).

Listen to what people are telling you.

please!
I have to admit I don't understand some basic concepts here then. I still didn't get it! can someone please explain again where I am going wrong.
My other cube works fine. It's just this one cube.

You've got ONE strand of PCI-E cable trying to power ~300W - that is likely your problem.

I am using something like this. I have tried 2 different PSUs.

I am now trying this PSU that has 4 PCI slots, and has 2 strands with 2 each. Is that what you meant ?

What dogie said.  Trying to run a Cube off a splitter/extension like that is ill advised.  I'm surprised it worked at all.  Trying that same cable with a different power supply isn't likely to solve the issue long term if at all.

You should be running two independent lines from the power supply for each Cube.

That means those running two Cubes would need four lines.

I think this has been in the OP for a while.  It says a "typical computer PSU with 2xPCI-E 6 pin power connectors"

How do you do this? Sorry i am a bit noob on this?

It depends on what firewall if any you are running on the computer running the proxy.

Post which firewall you use and we can walk you though opening ports.

My cube just stopped hashing for no apparent reason. All settings are the same and usually a restart would've solved it but it's been weeks now that it's inactive.

It started a few days before I moved from my place and continues to be inactive in my new current location.

Can you please help me put it back to work. BTC tips to show appreciation for solutions that work.

Thanks for sharing the knowledge everybody.

GUYS, CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP?

Perhaps, but more information is needed.
Screen shot of the cube config?
What are you using for your proxy?  What is the IP setup on that machine?

Ok, so now I start the PSU (after an hour or fiddling around) and I see this. There's a clicking sound and cube turns ON. Looks like all the lights are good. 2 lights on the power, 1 green/yellow light from inside the ethernet port, 1 red status light.
Img removed

After a minute or so, this is what I see on the cube. I hear one click sound and some lights are gone, and only 1 green light is ON (the top green light where it says "SB power").

I can fix that. Is that show XXXXX on your miner ?

Yes, I have 1 row of xxxx, but that was just a non working blade.
You know how to fix this cube ?
1 green light is not about the non working blade.
Are they stop mining regularly ?
I can fix it. Where are you ?
I'm in Houston.
Im in Southern CA. So, like I said, the cube starts the run with all lights. I am able to access the config page right after that. After a few minutes, cube lights go off (except 1 green light). The PSU is still ON, the cube fan is ON, but, I can't access the config page, and the miner stops hashing.
I can but you have to pay shipping fee Smiley
0.05 BTC each.
0.05 ? you mean send the cube over to you for testing. ?
To fix not testing. Smiley i did my own 5 cubes , never happened again.
I don't want to share my technique here. sorry.
You can use escrow any one.
I can use escrow, but how are you going to test it?  will you just tell me the trick or you will need to login remotely to my system?
so, no fix, no money ?
It will run for couple hours without any problem ?
there no software, that is hardware. i have to do something.
it only runs for a few minutes. not hours.
so when i pay you, you will tell me how to do it, right? and then i do it myself ?
I do it, if i tell you , i will out of business Smiley)
then how do you it? you will need remote access to my system, right?
