@suchmoon I'm running 40 gridseeds in scrypt-only mode in groups of 5 using these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050MLELM/

Care to sacrifice one to measure the wire gauge?   Kiss

I ordered just one gridseed that came with the miner, power supply, and a usb.  My cat ended up chewing through the damn power cord when I wasn't looking though.  Does anyone know where I can buy a generic replacement for cheap?

Yeah, your local animal shelter has them for free! They even come neutered or spay! Cheesy

Here kitty kitty!    Cheesy Grin

lol ya....he's not getting any treats for a long time that's for damn sure.  So how about that cable?  Anyone?

You don't need an entire new cable, unless the cat ate it.
Simply cut the chewed part out, strip the casing off, re-connect the center and outer shield wires, twist or solder if you can, then insulate with electrical tape.

Or..you can buy one here...
http://www.amazon.com/12-Volt-Power-Supply-Standard/dp/B009ZZKUPG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396330197&sr=8-1&keywords=12v+2.5+amp+power+supply

Excellent!  Ya...he literally ate a chunk with wires, and I'd rather just buy new since I don't have strippers or anything. :/  If I only plan on scrypt mining, do you think I could get away with a 12v 1a? Like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Power-Adapter-Supply-2-1mm-CCTV/dp/B00452YFZU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396331062&sr=8-3&keywords=12v+1a+power+supply

Could someone tell me if this cable could power 4 gridseeds in Scrypt mode only, on the stock black psu you get with one gridseed?

thanks

http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310736642237&var=610209248269&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649#ht_7027wt_1275

It doesn't seem to specify wire gauge, and if it's something like 20-24 in the "trunk" of the splitter then it could be an issue. You might want to ask the seller.

Ok I'll ask, thanks!

where can i add frequency 850 there?

    "freq/frequency": "850", Huh

Code:
"gridseed-options" : "baud=115200,freq=850",

What do you think about it ? Is 5% of HW + 1% of Reject is acceptable ?

PS : I'll running the rig at 800Mhz during the next 24h to compare the results.

5% HW is way too high. I would try a different pool too. Some of these HWs can be due to bad connectivity/disconnects etc.

I'm currently trying www.coinmine.pw and it seems to work flawlessly! For now, absolutely no HW and the hashrate indicate by the pool is the same as my miner.
Plus, the pool has lots of cryptos and I prefer their auto payout method (with USD threshold).

Let's try it a bit longer...  Smiley

More problems.. i can mine, but only when i start cgminer using putty with my computer. When I close putty it stops at mining. Obv, i want it to mine with my computer off. I have scripta and i should be able to start mining but it says no devices running. How can i configure raspberry to start cgminer when its on? or else what can i do
type screen , then run cgminer like normal, once running press ctrl+a+d to detatch session then should be good to go
once in screen do ./cgminer --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=850 to run them at 850

I can't give you exact steps right now since I don't have access to my Pi, but you should find the location of the "stock" cgminer and replace it with your version. Something like this (verify that the folders are correct):

Code:
cp ~/cgminer /opt/minepeon/bin

Then edit the config file to set your pool etc:

Code:
nano /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf

Reboot and check if it's running by connecting to its IP via browser.

I have edited that and when i start cgminer it mines on my pool. That is nice, but what i want is to start mining without start cgminer, just starting it via browser. I can do it if putty is open. but i want my computer off/putty off. With putty on start mining via browser it works ( just at default mhz dunno how change it )
