Bump it after years because 1xbet campaign that has almost same thing with DuckDice campaign. 1xbet campaign manager locked their thread to avoid red feedback on their participants and applicants. It is a good and friendly response from them.

However, let's read the guide and get some points to use. Old lessons don't mean it can not be reused.

As expected from an inspirational person. What I will do to know about a project if a project has a thread created in this forum that the person is claiming that the project is a scam and with proof is to search in google.com and search for the project's name plus a keyword "scam accusation" and also with bitcointalk.org at the end then hit the search button. I would also search for different reviews from different sites then compare both reviews.

To update the topic, with recently adjustments on Trust system, from that we have Trust Flags System. Form now on, users have to look at both Trust and Flags in order to have overview on projects you have interests to invest.
It is too long to mention here, and you should visit the following topics to read more:
Trust flags (theymos)
theymosisms on Trust Flags
[GUIDE] Overview of the trust flags

In short, whenever you open threads of projects and see a Warning Box, whatever color it is, Yellow or Red, you should be look at them carefully because you will have to accept risks if invest into such projects.

The recent spam campaign run by Yobit, is another lesson when forum members decide to join a campaign or not. If you are real users, you should not join such campaign, especially when you see just minutes or hours after the campaign started, Meta board has lots of new topics opened to complain or dicuss about that campaign. It's time to seriously think of staying away from that campaign.
129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

Thank you for translate it into Filipino, and already added the version into the OP.
However, I am curious why Fillipinos need to have a translation, because the locals there are proficient in English, I guess.
snip-
Well, some are English proficient but still, most do not understand any English in our local board even though schools have to use English when they are in their English class then you will be fine if you don't speak in English in your English Subject. I see some sample of proficient English in our local namely mjglqw, crwth and also theyoungmillionaire. I think they are alts by some professor or lawyer here in the Philippines? Grin

Ain't also good in the English proficient but I trying to be good. Wink

What's just left for the newbie interested is to click the search button

This sort of threads is a timely reminder for them,on what to do and what not to,and it's posted in the beginners and help section which is easily accessible to all newbies who are here for the right reason

The new trust system is complicated one, and it takes time for me to write such a informative topic.

The forum has strictly punished plagiarism.
No chance to get red tags with plagiarism [in the forum].
I agree with lobcmt2. Plagiarism and ban evasion is a moderated violation of forum rules. We should send a report to the moderator seeing such violations, and not write a negative feedback to the user.

Thanks for your help, but in the topic, I only focused on red tags due to keep supporting already-known scam projects.
Anyway, you shown a very helpful and informative topic.

Here is a good list for which you can get a red tag.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
Exactly!
Nevertheless, it's hard for newbies to investigate projects themselves and identify exactly which ones are scam, which ones are un-scam.
The problem [serious one] occur when they got help from other forum users, DT members (who are more professional), with warning messages:
"Scam project! Stay away from it, and stop supporting it!".
If, after that, they keep supportin scam projects, and ignore all warning messages, they should be tagged red.
It's the final destination for them.
I disagree, we all have to take responsibility for our actions and this includes researching schemes before promoting them in exchange for payment.
"But I didn't know they were a scam" usually is more accurately written as "I didn't care if they were a scam, I just wanted the money."

I think that excuses for newbie status goes more towards NOT knowing some of the players rather than inabilities to spot a scam or inabilities to recognize facts or employ logic.

We should not assume that newbies are babes in the woods or that that they are 12 year olds.  There is a certain amount of responsibility that each of us has, whether newbie or not, and each of us has to perform a decent amount of due diligence (as also mentioned by tmfp above) and use both facts and logic without engaging in too much risk and putting on too many blinders with hopium.

The trust system merely is going to give one additional tool to still take with a grain of salt, but could help newbies or anyone else to weigh the various factors and risks with an additional data point.

"Common rogue from Russia with a bare ass."
Reasons of red tags
1) Join and support scam projects;

Promoting a project which turns out to be scam is not worthy of a red trust (this is my opinion), except it can be proven that the user had information about the scam, or found out at a later time and did not expose the developers.
It's possible to unknowingly enter a promotion campaign for a scam project.

Sure. If someone known something good, for the forum, for the crypto enthusiasts, especially the following two things, they should help others with their skills, knowledge, and GUIDEs.
- Avoid investing and losing money into scam projects.
- Contribute to improve the forum to become much cleaner (out of spambies), and become a more informative place.
Everyone has their own roles in the forum. Even Newbies can be one of the most important components of the forum.

I can not disagree with those three reasons.
  • Shilling the campaign/project
  • Having two or more accounts in one campaign
  • Spamming

Being part of a scam campaign is not the only thing you can get red tag on while being part of any campaign. Things such as

  • Shilling the campaign/project
  • Having two or more accounts in one campaign
  • Spamming
  • Plagiarism

These are also one of the common mistakes being done by campaign participants and I think its more common then being part of a scam campaign. Your guide is good but I think you need to add more content as there is really more to it than what you have included so far.
