SilverFish 28MH Scrypt Miner
0) General information + Hardware Needed1) Unpacking2) The Miner3) Install4) How to order0) General Information + Hardware NeededThis miner is an open air design that might remind some of the S1 Ant miner design at first glance. It’s a compact little miner that still packs a punch with 28 MH of Scrypt mining power. Between the two blades it has a total of 40 SF300K01 chips. This miner is rated to run on about 440 watts.
Hardware needed in addition to SilverFish 28MH miner.
- Standard power supply with 2 PCI-E 6 Pin adapters (suggest 500 watts or bigger)
- Computer to run SilverFish mining software
- Network cables - 1 network cable to go to your network, and other to link blades
1) UnpackingI was very impressed with the packing. I received mine within two boxes. The miner was well insulated with styrofoam covering the miner as shown. You can see it appears to have taken shipping to customer as a priority with amount of protection on miner
2) The MinerBelow are images to showcase the miner. In comparison to showcase it’s size in one picture it’s beside the A2 30 MH miner.
3) InstallA)First off you will need a standard computer supply with 2 PCI-E 6 pin adapters, each blade uses one adapter. I suggest using a 500 watt power supply or more to save a headache as mine seemed to run in range of pretty steady right around 430 watts but could reach 450 occasionally. I used the paperclip trick to get the power supply to run without a computer. As always if you do this be careful with electricity.
B)Below shows how to connect your miner network cables. Closest Ethernet slot to PCI-E adapter goes to network, outer Ethernet slot allows you to connect next blade:
C)With this miner you are provided with software to run on Windows that makes it very easy to control multiple SilverFish Miners. It very easy to install through provided official link:
http://pan.baidu.com/s/1ntK9cqlSimply extract the following files into a folder on your computer, and open the application. There is a Chinese and English version of the program. The English version if followed by "_EN"
D)Once ran it will automatically find your miner on your network. It’s as simple as that. Below shows how it has found one SilverFish 28MH miner and within it the two blades:
E)Simply add a pool if not there by hitting operate then add pool. Most likely it has one default one there simply right click on it to change the miner pool settings as shown below and click ok after:
