Was there a $ amount discussed for the funding ? Btc price can fluctuate and you will find 50 btc could end up being too little or too much.
Example: BTC doubles in value does the hours go to 6000? BTC price halves does the hours go to 1500?

Hi, for BTC already paid that BTC ultimately needs to be converted to ZAR (even if it were in dollars), the conversion risk would fall on me i.e. if ZAR weakens by 10% between 'quoting' and 'converting' then I get 10% more money and am very happy if ZAR strengthens by 10% I get less money though I would have already factored this in as a risk. About 80% of my business comes from overseas so I'm used to dealing with these sort of things, it is part of the cost of doing business, to give an example at the start of December 20k Euro was worth ZAR300000, by end December it was worth ZAR360000 (With most of that change taking place over 2 single days) and currently it is now at ZAR348000.
So even if we were to make it a Euro or dollar amount the same 'risk' would still be present to some extent.

For BTC remaining, in the event of a drastic enough raise or increase we would likely adjust the remaining BTC amounts to reflect that (after taking into account what has already been paid). If it helps you can work on a rate of 10 BTC = ZAR 70000 - if there is more than a 30% deviation from that which lasts more than a day or two we would probably adjust.

Just to add to what Malcolm has said, Malcolm takes on a lot of contract/freelance work to earn his monthly income, it will be hugely beneficial to have him work closer to full time on Gulden so we can get a lot more done.

Malcolm has delivered on projects that involve the Code base, Desktop Wallets, iOS and Android and his knowledge of the blockchain is at a very high level. In Malcolm we have a developer that can do pretty much anything and more importantly he is coming up with a lot of the innovative implementations we have coming this year.

Code base update to 0.1/0.11, DELTA, Checkpoint implementation with failsafe for exchanges, Gulden for iOS, Gulden for Android was all done with limited time on his part.

Malcolm has been working on Project Q, more details will be presented very soon.  Grin

For new users you also receive NLG at market related prices and earn 12% interest on your initial amount over 1 year or you can claim the NLG right away. Please review the below link for more details.

20.000 NLG + interest per share and investing in development of the roadmap which gives value. I'll buy some in the weekend. Hope this funding will get new investors also in Gulden to support this great project.

Nocks will be at the Mobile Convention Amsterdam, at the Startup Alley section of the event to present Nocks and talk about all its features and goals. Later in the day we move over to Startup Friday, an event held by ABN Amro Innovation Center, where we will pitch Nocks to a varied audience consisting of bankers and people interested in blockchain, finance or are just curious in general. You can also watch the event live through startupfriday.nl.

Lots of succes tomorrow!

Why not organise with Bittrex to do ICO. They remove all buy and sell orders on market. You place the premine at set price and let everyone buy up this way and bittrex prevents any other trades until ICO over. They have done this for a lot of coins and funding will go much faster.

I can only contribute 0.1 btc but i am buying on bittrex. 50 btc funding for Gulden team will need international funding. There is no rich Dutch people that support Gulden. Only LTEX, BioMike and psychoticboy that can fund this and Dutch but they not with Gulden.

Tamilee suggestion make the most sense and will get new people invested in Gulden.

In the event the Roadmap projects takes MaNI 2000 hours , will there be other projects to utilise another 1000 hours of his time ?

Absolutely, like Jero said 3000h is almost two years of development, the roadmap we presented is only for this year.

By the way, we had a an awesome first day of funding, we are now at 6.24% funded! Thanks everyone!

Good initiative. I will confirm next week if I can buy shares. Business has been slow for me this last 2 months. Sign of the times.

The https://developer.gulden.com/roadmap/ will be finished this year and if this funding is succesfull even quicker. So yes, there will be more projects. 3000 man hours is almost 2 years development.

I am not convinced your team can complete the roadmap presented in 2016. Lets look at some facts here, 2 projects released in 5 months and you expect to do another 6 in 7 months? Not going to happen and I will bet 50 000 NLG on it.

With respect I don't think you have the information required to even begin to make a wild guess at how long it will take to do any of the projects involved.

Programming projects progress in man hours, they are not all equal, just because a specific project took '3 months' does not then mean that every project must now take 3 months. How many man hours is project Q going to take in relation to initial iOS or Android implementations? How can you possibly even pretend to know the answer to that if you don't even know what Project Q is so even if you had the development knowledge necessary to gauge such things you wouldn't be able too. Could it be that maybe Android and iOS combined are actually bigger projects in terms of man hours than most of the other projects combined?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

How many man hours did I put into iOS or Android? Was I working on them non stop for 3 months each? Or was I working on them only after hours? 4 hours a day or 1 hour a day? Or maybe I was working on them only on weekends? Maybe only on alternate weekends?
Maybe I didn't work on them at all for 2 months and then did all the work in 2 weeks?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

How was my availability at the start of the year? Was I maybe preoccupied with a once off life event like a wedding, something that my wife and I have been waiting 11 years to have? Could I maybe have more hours available in the latter half of the year in which I don't have any such events? Are there maybe other factors that affect man hours that are/aren't available for certain projects?
Could it be that maybe I have double or triple the amount of hours available in the second half of the ear that I did in the first half of the year?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

So certainly you are entitled to your opinion and can believe whatever you want to, you are welcome to your scepticism, but I myself don't think you have enough information to be saying anything at all about the matter with any conviction and that an opinion that is not based on fact is not one to which I personally would give much weight.
I think the developers - who are actually involved in the process and therefore have the necessary knowledge required to make such calls are in a better position to give a roadmap (which by the way - a roadmap is meant to represent goals and not strict deadlines) than anyone else.

These don't look like simple projects on the Roadmap, when I first viewed the Roadmap I thought it was for 2016 and 2017. You are one special developer if you can fit this all in for 2016. I certainly hope you do but I have my doubts.

Please don't see this as an attack on your work which has been top quality to date.

Danslip wants people to dump into his buy orders. I wouldn't mind a lower price = more Gulden.
