Anyone can post here how its going with gunbot the profit its stable at 1% per day?

I was making about 1% or so a day until yesterday. When bitcoin spikes like this, alts go down. So I have a bunch of sell orders and the bot is just sitting there waiting now.  I turned it off for now until this bitcoin spike settles a bit. As Gunthar said, it isn't a setting like "I want 1% a day" or "5%" a day. The bot can only work with what you set it to try for. I just happened to sit around 1% a day until the btc spike.

I do see potential with this bot, but these bitcoin spikes affect all alts, so it is doing nothing right now. (Actually sitting at a loss right now. I let it play with .91 btc, it was up to .922 after the weekend. Now with sell orders, it should be .95, but because btc is up, all alts go down. I am hovering around .81 right now. Holding till it settles and let it continue.)

I do have some suggestions, if I have something like 10 sell orders, all at different prices. I would like a way to have different settings for this. Such as combine all into the top one (get a little extra % for those low sells) , or combine all into a 1% (or whatever your setting is set for) weighted average into one sell - based on all the current buy orders that was bought with the current batch (get those top sells cleaned out while still making a profit so you aren't holding for a long time on those). I haven't looked much into what this bot used to be like, so maybe you tried this strategy before. Just looking to help improve and not leave open sells!

Also maybe a warning about open buy orders when closing or turning off the bot, and give it an option to cancel all open buys the bot made. I had to restart my home server, applying updates, in that time frame I had open buy orders that got bought, but didn't realize till too late and had to take a bit of a loss or wait period until the bot came back up and put some sell orders in.

Just a suggestion for more options! Smiley

- Have a top load price
- Have an average weighted load price
- Have a regular algorithm price - current

- Notify the user about current open buy orders, and give option to cancel before shutting down bot.
- Popup before starting pairs about best pairs - Not sure if this was mentioned before.

The 1% daily is not a universal law, especially because "trading altcoins" and the term "stable" are very hard to get in the same sentence. The bot works on a strategy that is well explained in the tutorial and the 1% you talking about is per user configuarbel in the settings and of course depends on a lot of factor that are easily understandable to average traders.
The % GAIN (i.e. the 1%) is not per day: it is "per trade" and it doesnt include fees (0.15%-0.25%)

The bot so works on the strategy giving profits at any buy/sell completed loop as i explained here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17804221

Hope it helped

Restarting your bot because of this, makes the entire strategy null.
how to stop gunbot safe and systematic without losses?
(if open orders existing and you have to for reasons)

You can safely restart it: open orders are handled by reading order book on next restart. In that quote i was talking about "last x prices" to watch pumps and dumps.

you got my message?

sometimes it hangs an i have to restart.  there are already sell orders sitting there and i get a message saying it can't figure out sell price until it buys something but it can't buy something til it sells something....

***You used enough balance on this pair, waiting to SELL... BTC_ETH

=== PRICE INFORMATION UPDATE PAIR BTC_ETH at 2017/02/20 05:27:16 ===  BTC_ETH
last price: 0.01204300
price target to buy: 0.01201599
price target to sell: waiting for buy order to calculate sell price

The reason why it doesnt buy anymore is because of this:

***You used enough balance on this pair, waiting to SELL... BTC_ETH

Restarting your bot because of this, makes the entire strategy null. Yu might want to join our telegram group to have faster support?

Hope it helped.

So it supports debian 8 x64 server's console mode too? Will it work with other exchanges in the future?

I personally run in on ubuntu 16.04 and some customers running it on raspbian. As long as you get node.js running, you can run the bot.
Actually i'm working at kraken api yes and i'll exptedn it on other exchanges too.

Hi Gunthar. Thanks for your work. How do we get the latest version?

Nice to see recent updates Gunthar! Like other said, how do we get latest version? I pm'd you as well.

Guys you can get the latest release ("Bail. In" Pre-release) in the same repo you got the one you are using.
Sorry I am not allowed to post the link but you might have it.

Looks good and works I have to say. Will be using it for a week and see my results.

I have been running for about 24 hours, on 5 pairs. It is scary to think a bot is handling your money... just have to not panic as is stated many times here Tongue. So far I am in a profit.

I did have some crashes though. I am running this on my home server in a VM locked down, windows 7 64 bit. I noticed the bot didn't do anything for about 5 hours on poloniex... was thinking maybe it was just waiting for a good time. I closed it all down and while doing so I had a C++ error. Should have saved it.

Started back up and away it went again.

Hope to continue with this bot of yours, looks very hopeful and it is just the start Smiley

I do agree with some of the posts, I feel like the GUI needs some work. The settings and such are laid out and instructions are clear. I think something of a tabbed view would be best for all the bots, or a simple as a tab that shows the current bots and their progress or something in a nice window, rather than 5 console looking windows. Maybe with a button each to open the console session. I have worked on GUIs back in the day, as well as some coding but it has been awhile. I could sketch some GUIs up or something to see what I mean. I noticed it isn't voted very high, people would rather have a second exchange. But my only complaint is the GUI and all those console windows and the one crash I had.

Since some people asked a weekly potential profit, just completed the first one: 5.7% of profit with the latest release. Capital 0.5BTC.
Looks like FrilledShark's calculator is nicely working with same results of Poloniex Analyze trading history tool

Thanks!

Here's one more buyer. Bling, bling.

Send me info and I'll send BTC in the next 24 hours.

(Create a page with user's feedback, trade setups, etc. You'll convince people buy the bot faster and you wont have to spend a lot on advertising)

Hi.
Is it safe to provide API key?
Hope you wont be having an access to my poloniex history

Hello, the api key gives access to your bot to your trading history too yes, unfortunately i cant block that. The only things you can block are withdrawals (by not enabling that when you create your api key) and you can restrict your api key to be used only by your IP.
Hope it helped.
~Gun

Can you access my trade history? after buying bot

No i dont, but your bot can.
