This pointless thready get really annoying, I'm at the point where I would set the whole Speculation Board on my Ignore Board list so all the Threads don't show up in my "Show unread posts since last visit." like I did with all Languages I don't speak.

But after all there are still some Interesting Threads here from Time to Time.

Proposed Solution:

Make a Technical Analysis -Subboard so the "real" speculation Threads have a place to be separated from all the Spam.

This should be in meta, stop spamming up the speculation board...

+1 lol haha

I agree, too many noob bears making broad generalizations and providing absolutely no support for their arguments. Like the dude was like like "OMG BITCOINS ALL CAPS MAJOR FUNDAMENTAL FLAW DOOMED TO FAIL" and proceeded to explain his "new idea" that had been thoroughly refuted hundreds of times in the past and had been discussed ad nauseum.

Or like the people who say Bitcoin's "true value" is $5 but provide no maths to back it up, simply broad false statements like "most of the transactions are actually silk road" and "you can't actually DO anything with bitcoins."

They seem to think that people with money troll the speculation subforum to gauge sentiment.

Also, Cointelpro? Any good FUD theory has to include that.

I have another theory...

Most of the people on this forum are likely the nerdy types so they're probably crying over selling low to investors who have got better things to do than post here. Take it from me (a fellow nerd who sold hundreds of them at sub $1)... you aint gonna be able to buy back in at sub $20 again.

I agree. I think this forum has little to no effect on the price.

THEORY:

They think if they make tons of threads they will affect the price in the direction they want it to go.

Sweet, we could ignore the 10 year olds pointing to Google Trends and waving cardboard signs about the apocalypse!
