I can't say it enough..

I love Bitcoin. I tell everyone about it. To some, I know they think I'm crazy. Like if I'm trying to get them into Herbalife or some other Pyramid Scheme.

I've been in it since 2011. Back when everyone called me crazy when it was $3 per Bitcoin. Everyone came back to me after the news hype/$1000 per Bitcoin in 2013.

I owned 1/1000th of the mining network at one point this year, had 1000 Bitcoins in 2011 (yes, sold at a slightly higher price), and have done countless low cost transactions.

Anyways.. I love it, love the anonymity, I hate the banks, love freedom, love Bitcoin.

Cheers.

If you sold all the Bitcoins you had, probably you don't like Bitcoin very much...

Man, 1000 Bitcoins!??   Shocked

Wish I had a Hot Tub Time Machine to go back to 2011 and mine on some video cards...

I'm in the same boat, I'm a believer in Bitcoin.  Love everything about it.  It's underlying technology, it's anonymity yet public ledger, the blockchain, the international money without borders, the potential to disrupt the existing financial infrastructure in every country, etc..

Definitely a good time to get involved.  Just needs time to marinate.

those 1k btc were probably made at early stage, easy and free money basically
Depending on just how early he started/stopped mining it may have well been 'free' money as int he very early days of mining the computers were not using up much more electricity then they otherwise would have been using

Sure but would you have really bought it then?.. You have to give it to early adopters, they bought it when others weren't buying. It's easier to say it now since you have seen it was a profitable investment but at that time nothing was for sure and they believed in it and they saw potential which others didn't and now they're getting their rewards for that.

And btw I also love Bitcoin, even though I haven't seen the other side of the decimal Cheesy
nah i have no idea,... i'm not even sure will buy bitcoin at that time,, haha
the future is a mystery.. lol

Whenever I hear stories and anecdotes like this, it makes me think of those other ones like the 10,000 BTC Pizzas or the 7500 BTC wallet on a PC in the landfill.

Man, those were some wild wild west days, where mining was so easy, and the value was basically pennies or sub pennies.

If only we all knew what we know now, back then.

1000btc??!!?? So you must be super rich with all the stash of bitcoin that you accumulated  Grin

It depends at which price he sold.  1,000 btc isn't an incredible amount.
Right. There were a number of people who sold when bitcoin hit $5.00 and when it hit $15.00 as these figures seemed even higher to many hodlers then what $1,000 is to many people today.

Out of curiosity OP, at what level did you sell your 1k BTC for (if you don't mind my asking).....I am sure many people are curious to know as well

Awesome! Cheesy

That's great you've written about this. Sometimes people do think you're trying to sell them herbalife's bs. I have found that when you are honest, let them know you're just enthusiastic, AND if you can tell them how they will benefit (this requires you to understand them), then they are even more excited about it Cheesy I have yet to write an article about this. I don't write, and i'm not a great writer, but I know I'm able to help newbies appreciate Bitcoin. Thanks for sharing your bit!

If at that time I already know and have 1000 bitcoin, then I am selling at a price of $ 1000.
Maybe my life at this time will be more established Smiley

that's the reality has always been short of expectations  Wink

In hindsight, everything looks easy.
If we all had got into bitcoins at a few cents and got out at $1000, we wouldn't have had to work any more.  Smiley

Yup I know what you are talking about. Was there when bitcoin hit $31, then $2, then $2, $3, $4....

the rest is history.

Watching bitcoin grow is like watching a child grow.
