I can't say it enough..

Don't. You are going about it the wrong way.

I love Bitcoin. I tell everyone about it. To some, I know they think I'm crazy. Like if I'm trying to get them into Herbalife or some other Pyramid Scheme.

It is.

I've been in it since 2011. Back when everyone called me crazy when it was $3 per Bitcoin. Everyone came back to me after the news hype/$1000 per Bitcoin in 2013.

For argument's sake may I remind you that your account is from 2012 not 2011. (Sure you got in before that).

I owned 1/1000th of the mining network at one point this year, had 1000 Bitcoins in 2011 (yes, sold at a slightly higher price), and have done countless low cost transactions.

1/1000th of the mining network huh? Must be a great achievement.......

Anyways.. I love it, love the anonymity, I hate the banks, love freedom, love Bitcoin.

I love it too Josh, and hate the banks and all that, but you have failed to understand that there is no anonymity in Bitcoin.
There is probably a reason why you posted this thread and it is not because you love Bitcoin.
It is because you fail to understand why nobody pays attention to you - like the other early adopters.
That is because they actually understand Bitcoin.

I did a lot of my bitcoin trading on the bitcoin web of trust IRC wayyy before I even knew that bitcointalk.org existed. I've actually never even directly bought btc through these forums. The WoT was used wayyy more for bitcoin trades than forums in the past. With that being said I'd guess the OP also bought btc through the WoT in the beginning.

It is always a confidence holding bitcoin and knowing that you are holding a fixed percentage of the total money supply and no one can inflate the supply to dilute your holding's value. Even gold/diamond can not achieve this

Of course the biggest concern is security, this part is extremely troublesome to deal with, so far no solution can be as good as old banks: Without a powerful security solution, who dare to walk on the street with 1000 coins without a bodyguard? (Like in the film IN TIME)

Why would you walk around with 1000 BTC?  Put them in cold storage.

Lol, gotta love us early adopters...

Had quite a stash too, but lost most of it trough scams, which is quite unfortunate. Losing huge amounts of money is like a trigger for some people to kill themselves, I however am still alive but I still think of that loss a few times a week.

Anyway, I'm in love with Bitcoin since end 2011-begin 2012. My advice: keep hold of your bitcoin, I mean, if it bubbles to like 10.000 than you could consider selling some but look at the history:
2011- 1BTC= 2$
2012- 1BTC= 10$
2013- 1BTC= 500$
Begin 2014- 1BTC = 1200$
End 2014- 1BTC = 400$

What was 2$ is now 400 and will be 20000 at some point.

1000btc??!!?? So you must be super rich with all the stash of bitcoin that you accumulated  Grin

It depends at which price he sold.  1,000 btc isn't an incredible amount.

Its quite a lot of coins.  Very small percentage of people own
that many coins today.

Thumbs up dude, I feel the same, although I entered the game a lot later.
But who cares, I have a nice job, a lovely girlfriend, some smart kids and good health.
I have some patience to end up owning 1000 coins as well Smiley

Cheers dude, thank you for your motivating thread! Smiley

People just think about the price, that's right we all want to have some money for our future. On the other hand, Bitcoin's usableness is the most important issue for spreading BTC around the world.

I've been obsessed with Bitcoin since Jan 2013, when my boss introduced me to it, wanted me to find out if it was legit... let's just say I got hooked too.

Wow, we are still early adopters, this is game changing technology, all I want to do is get more cryptocurrencies, who's hiring for Bitcoin?

If I had 1000btc at one point and sold most of it at low prices, I wouldn't be so happy as OP. I will be kicking myself for being so short sighted.  Cheesy

Gosh, I always wonder why I came in so late to the party. My interest in bitcoin only started this year and if only I could at least backtrack to at least year before that I discovered bitcon.... things would have been different.

Bitcoin is just 5 years old and still in its infant stage. We are still early adopters. Comparing with the highest price in 2013, the price declines to its lowest level. It is a good time to accumulate some bitcoins before you will regret not to buy as much as you can when the price will climb to $ 2000 next two or three years

Nice story, always good to see early adopters.

Guys who kept their coins till now can just sit back and relax.

You need to have balls to not sell your coins above $100 when you only paid $3 for them.

Bitcoin is indeed incredible, im seeing adoption with my own eyes while browsing various services on internet.
Depends on area of services bitcoin adoption is sometimes as large as 50% for example (especially for computer hardware etc.)
