I really hope it continues to go up.   The bottom line is no one knows what is going to happen, but just in 1 day it went up almost 100 dollars from yesterday.  If this continues maybe we will become Bitcoin Millionaires:)

Nothing is going to stop it this time. My surf board is ready for one big wave

Wave is the correct word here I believe. Since after it's been the highest it's going to drop again but not as much as it was down before the initial bump. ^^

Sure I agree with you but drop to what and how high will the wave be Smiley

You have to try to get your initial investment covered before you start selling. If you recovered your initial investment, you have probably 0 risk to worry about. Whatever you

lose from that, just get subtracted from what your profits should have been. Nobody know what the turning point will be, so they shooting for the moon.. I think the Silkroad

auction will be the start of the downward cycle, if the person or persons start to dump those coins... if they hoard it, the price should in theory go upwards.  Roll Eyes

This time, the peak price is unpredictable. The Wall Street guys might have entered the market after so many months discussion of blockchain technology.

That is something no one can say in this anonymous network. Wink But bitcoin has shown time and time again that it won't fail and as long as adoption is picking up the way it is now. Only the sky is our limit, or like my name says, the space. Wink

Bitcoin isnt the solution but it is the start of the solution. The more money taken away from the greedy bankers the better. Money enslaves people literally. Bitcoin offers the start of some glimmer of hope of liberation.

You mean  what goes up must come down? That is my feeling though. Really scary.

In the cryptoworld, something that goes up doesn't necassarily have to come back down, or at least not as hard. Wink

But in the real world, with real physics, what goes up must come down Wink

everything will come down. the only question is, when will the price start going down again. of course i hope it will go up and up all the time, but that's simply impossible. i think it might happen within a few days that we see the price goes down.

Of course it's impossible for it to continue going up without going down at all. Imagine if you had bought $250k at 220$, wouldn't you wanna sell at an almost 2x profit? Some new investors probably would, not knowing what the coin is about or being nervous of a crash, etc etc. So many factors can depend on the price nowadays since it's still so small ($5-6b). But one thing is for certain, if adoption keeps it up at this rate, it's probably going to accelerate faster and faster with media, and soon you will realize instead of the initial 500k-1m users of btc on a daily basis. It would go to 100 million people, and in another year, 500 million. With the blockhalving in 8-9 months, the price is going to be a hell of a ride from now on. Mark my words. Smiley

Have a nice end of the year everyone. My best guess would be 600-700$

Whoa 600 - 700$? That is a lot if you are keeping all the money through bitcoin. So within that range can I be scared with that time? Grin

The price will come down some time later. But it will continue rising for some time.

The directly transfer between Chinese banks and exchanges was banned previously. Now you can do the direct transfer:

BTCC Now Accepting Direct Bank Deposits
Nov 02, 2015

Recent bitcoin price increases have reignited enthusiasm in buying bitcoin. BTCC is confident this trend will continue. As such, we are pleased to announce that we now accept direct deposits.

Customers now need only log in, click on “Account,” then “Fund,” and then select the “Bank Deposit” option to fund their BTCC accounts through their bank accounts. All customers who have Chinese bank accounts will be able to make direct deposits through ATM transfers or online banking.

BTCC will stop accepting customer deposits through agents on November 15.

If by that you mean is the biggest reason the value is rising lately, then sure, it could be one of the reasons.

The other would maybe be the whole ransom thing that got the ball rolling, they had to buy bitcoins worth tens of millions. And around the same time bitcoin became less illegal in china.

What's weird is that the fbi were selling 44k coins this week and the price doesn't seem to have given much of a fuck about it.  Grin

Although I bet the one who bought them isn't going to flip it for a tiny amount of profit in his/her eyes.

I also have a feeling that you should not totally trust one form of currency or storage. The saying that "don't store all your eggs in one basket" is very true. distribute the risk just in case something bad happens, you will not loose everything. Bitcoin is good but let it first stabilize. thank you for agreeing with me.

This one is a good idea. perhaps i  should put some of my eggs in my grandmothers basket. that will be safer there.

Just being careful is not too bad.
