OP had that feeling and he was right. We are on a clear phase of Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). We don't know exactly what has triggered this, but what do we know is the potential of Bitcoin as a technology to change the world, and a lot of goverments failing to deliver a peace of mind on their citizen's saved money. Therefore, more and more money to go from country to country thanks to Bitcoin is expected nonstop forever. People are starting to realize what can be done with BTC.

lol, how on earth did you get that from his OP?  He was talking about losing wallets and riding busses.  No where did he mention anything about fear of missing out?

That sort of comes as a given with a price increase like recently.

I'm sure there are dozens of us that are sitting with fiat in their hands now, wishing they had bought in last week, or those that were about to buy in but decided to wait for it to drop a little bit.

I'm part of both, even though I own some coins now, I wish I would've been able to buy more and that real life wasn't keeping me on such a short payday.

Really confused what you are trying to warn us for?  I didn't quite understand your post and your feelings.  Are you just basically asking us to keep our wallets secure?

tl;dr :- Don't keep your hard earned bitcoins in an exchange, no matter how trustworthy it seems, keep them safe in a cold storage where no one else has access to them but you.

I don't own much of them (which I plan to sell them as soon as the price takes off (about $10.000 Tongue). I store them in Blockchain since it has 2FA. I guess it is pretty secure.
I would like that local wallets could have 2FA as well.

No, they're not secure, it's just an illusion of security, you're keeping them in an online wallet which is NOT SAFE, I don't know how many times this needs to be told. With cold storage wallet you wouldn't need 2fa.

cold storage or Trezor? Which is safer?

Volume is still increasing. Look at the MACD with 1h settings on Bitcoinwisdom.com (Bitstamp). Buy orders are still stacking up. It seems like this time there is going to be a really solid uptrend. 400 dollars easily accessible before January 1 2016 for sure. I hope im not nervous during xmas eve because I will have a lot of social meetings.

It's going to hit it by my lunchtime at this rate ;-)

I also have a feeling that you should not totally trust one form of currency or storage. The saying that "don't store all your eggs in one basket" is very true. distribute the risk just in case something bad happens, you will not loose everything. Bitcoin is good but let it first stabilize. thank you for agreeing with me.

You mean  what goes up must come down? That is my feeling though. Really scary.

In the cryptoworld, something that goes up doesn't necassarily have to come back down, or at least not as hard. Wink

when bitcoin starts going up it never goes up a little or in a slow steady rise, never has and probably never will, until it stablises at some much higher value.

check the graphs from 0.02 to 0.20, 0.09 to 0.75, 0.5 to 2, 1 to 30, 2 to 266, 30 to 1200, ... never has gone up by a little or slowly, that's the historical fact.

is what i was thinking, and this was enforced by the recent mini pump, that occured, this mean that all those pump are going to vanish and a dump is coming faster than we think

this is not again, the real pump, and surely it is not done because adoption is better, when adoption will kick in, you will see the crazy rise

It is better to behave careful and secure in next couple of months. Bitcoin seems like getting excitement back again.
It may be good to carry offline wallets yeah. Hacks will happen if it booms.

Hello.

I just wanted to share this feeling I've been getting and building up lately... it's one of those you feel deep in your gut and it doesn't happen too often.

As a matter of fact, the only 2 times I've felt it for reals in the last 3 years have been when I met this amazing girl and the first time

Does anyone else have any idea of how inappropriate that sounds? Just run it through your head and try not to giggle.

I had the similar feeling when I first heard about bitcoin. I was very excited. I knew it would be THE currency.

All this allows people to make more than decent profits. Best is to enjoy this while it's still possible. There will be years comming where the growth might be "just" $50-$100 per year, maybe even no growth at all as we'll also face less profitable years. Nothing goes only up.

In a few years time, the growth will be 10-20% a year. That is when bitcoin is used in actual transactions, not just for trading.

I also get that feeling when I am around pretty women.... keep your wallet in your front pocket. No wallet is safe, when pretty women is involved.  Grin Grin Grin

No, but seriously... Keep say 90% of your coins in cold storage and 5% on exchanges to trade and use the rest for daily coffee and tea and a beer or two.

If you keep them on exchanges, you will lose money... the same goes for online wallets.  Sad

Something is happening behind the curtains, I can't see it but I know it's all good

I suspect Chinese bulls driving the price up to ATH, nothing more. Even though their volume looks really rigged, still you can't deny that they are the primary drivers of this rocket ship towards da moon. An hour or two they should be awake now and the price rise will soon begin again. Smiley
Didn't bitcoin get unofficially unbanned in china? Lets hope it doesn't get officially banned again! Last time that happened there was a slow but steady crash.
I think it happened the first time because they didn't fully see it's potential and were scared of it to be honest. Chinese are wiery folk just like Warren Buffet. If it isn't proven don't invest and Fear the new it is not trusted.
Now that they see it is something that can change their country for the better and that it isn't just a flash in the pan or someone selling snake oil to make a quick getaway, they have embraced it.
Their communist political government.. . well that is a whole new ball game to try and convince on it's innovation.
