I am just waiting to be paid for my first payment. I am expecting approx 50 SKY. I will update as soon as I have recieved the sky.

You can liquidate the SKY for BTC at exchanges.

The income is LOW, but the consumption is LOW

I would expect maybe 50 SKY a month for this. but when main net is here that could go up or down. so yeah ROI is much longer than 1.5 years but we will see. wait for my first months rewards and I can update.

so you cannot trade out the sky coin you earn yet? sorry - i dont follow alt coins much so this is one i am not familiar with - and you can you post what the skybox mini looks like?

because if the return is 20 sky a month - sky is worth around $0.37 to $0.38 at present - so that would be only around $7 a month - that would be 100 months to roi - or am I wrong and the rewards are more? I thought I read somewhere it was 20 SKY per month.

my guess would be 10 months to 1.5 years

but it uses very minimal power

right now skycoin is on testnet, so rewards will change once we go to mainnet

I am not sure what the rewards will be after main net is launched

they may want to fix their site because as it is, at least from the 3 browsers I tried, you cannot order from it.

Many people have V1 of the skybox pro, this is V2

the official manufacturer is hard to get hold of but he is not a scammer.

If you can contact him , he will sell you a unit.

He has a small start up business with minimal publicity, but I am sure he is not a scammer.

I can confirm that the machine works as a 8 node DIY Skyminer, so either way I have a working unit to sell.

I also have a 1 single node unit for sale also

Skybox pro also has a telegram server with over 100 users.

you can also join the skycoin discord, they can validate this is a real machine.

Skybox pro have put a lot of thought into their design, it is not just a picture of vapourware.

i wanted to see if they could be ordered from their site (they have a mini for $99) but no matter how i fill the page out it gives the same error (before getting to payment screen) "Business not verified"

so cannot order it from them either. none of them are on eBay that I can find - and I also can only find @bittawm comments/posts if I google it. I have no doubt that he has the miner - I just question whether it is really worth buying when there is no traction for the coin or the miner in the market.

Sent you a pm in detail. Not gonna beat you up here..but I've seen pro-types on pre-sales go out before. A google search only shows mostly your comments and stuff.

There is no hype on this product...even though it is a cute toy. I also tried a couple of months ago to contact them repeatedly no reply...

and with the pandemic economic downturn ..the odds ...even if they are struggling..seems IFFY as hell. So again, unless I see some reviews by Voskcoin

or Philipma1957 and some more 'push' of this item and more than one prototype...well if they are legit..send me one to review or any of the above to the guys mentioned above

if they ARE legit they need a lot more word of mouth traction and prototypes out there especially on a pre-order...or nothing will come of such IMHO

just saying, Butterfly Labs, Paycoin, Alpha-Tech all played these games....indeed even with PayPal and were found wanting and just a few prototypes only....never

released working real products in time and/or ever. Anyway, for a project like this, you'd think it would get at LEAST as much word of mouth as the gekkoscience hobby

BTC and LTC miners...it is sparse indeed on this project if it indeed is legit ...or even now with the crash of stock market and crypto prices even viable anymore.

edit: also a couple of months in Jan and Feb i sent them an email on these miners and never got a reply...that probably needs to end pronto if they are legit...but again

most people I talk to on here think they are a scam, so if not, it is up to them to prove such I guess, with actual stuff to review at the very least out in the world.

I am still uncertain of rewards, as soon as I get them I will know what one month rewards looks like. I would estimate a year to ROI but this uses like 30w of power. so set and forget

Skycoin mining is different. its not Proof of Work. take a look on the skycoin website for more info

let me know what that first months earnings are. curious as to how raspi's are efficient at any type of mining. i poked around their site a little but not sure what they really do. might have missed it, or it might just be over my head.

at the end of the day, it is about roi though - and if its longer than 10 months roi, there is no roi lol by then diff has jumped and value typically drops on all these alt coins. the devs then move onto another algo and coin and repeat the process to reap more cash from us crazy miners lol
