Hi,

A couple of hours ago the API of Cryptsy went offline. We (and we think you to) have seen errorcode 417. This means something is wrong with the webtraffic, the API of Cryptsy does not respond the way it should. Because no changes are reported or announched of the protocols we expect something is wrong at the API itself.

We keeping a close eye to the situation to see if we can do anything to restore the trading at Cryptsy. But for the moment there is nothing yet what we can do except waiting. But if needed (and possible) then we can issue a update very fast, we are on standby at the moment.

As far as the software goes, the other exchanges will just remain working on the software. Those are running in seperate processes and Cryptsy can not take them done while it offline.

In general it is not needed to stop the trade-bots of cryptsy. Except a few error notifications inside the log nothing can go wrong.

If we have more news to share about this then it will be posted again.

On my side, one of the big issue is bots are deleted randomly when I quit and relaunch the software. I didn't find why this happens ... Sad

- I ran blind signal with overcome fee on cryptsy (PTS/BTC) and bot constantly switched coin position from sold (manually set by me) to bought, without any reason (no trade / signal occured, nothing in wallet on bought side)

I also ran into this. Turn off the bot. Refresh the page. Change the position. Refresh the page. Then turn it back on.

That works 80% of the time. The other 20% is voodoo.

- Cancel order insurance is not working, bot still (essential for trading and unsolved for months !!) thinking that placing order = completing order. Not even when order was only partially completed, but even when it was not touched at all..

This right here.

The "fire and forget" logic of placed order is the same as filled is causing me nothing but issue.

I guess a better question is, who is and who is not getting this issue?

Either way, how are you setup and what is happening when the bot places a trade?

I'm curious if it has to do with exchange API limitations, such as there is no API call for order status etc. I have only tried Cryptsy.

I´ve got a picture! Haha!
I get back to this bot after few weeks just to find out that it still have (the same) issues.

- I ran bot for several days on cex.io without any trade (right coin position, trade amount and exchange API connected). I disabled it, cleared all data and run backtest for last 2 days. There were over 6 trades per hour then with decent total profit. I cleared data again, activated trade bot and after several hours still no trade..

- I ran blind signal with overcome fee on cryptsy (PTS/BTC) and bot constantly switched coin position from sold (manually set by me) to bought, without any reason (no trade / signal occured, nothing in wallet on bought side)

- Cancel order insurance is not working, bot still (essential for trading and unsolved for months !!) thinking that placing order = completing order. Not even when order was only partially completed, but even when it was not touched at all..

- Manually "force trade" will swap coin position AFTER next trade server update (not really a bug buit pretty confusing)

I'm thinking about buying this bot. Does it require a lot of RAM/CPU power? Or can I just use a simple, shitty notebook that runs 24/7?

You need to be able to install net framework 4 at least.
Else it's not consuming a lot of cpu/mem, I run it a on cheap VPS with less than 512mb and windows 2008.

I am having an issue that perhaps someone can help me with.

Info :

- Basic level bot
- Trading on Cryptsy

The issue in short, is that the bot seems to think that -placing- a order means completing it. This leads to many issues. One of them being that in the event that a sell order is not able to be fully sold off (but the bot thinks it did because it placed it), it then goes and re-buys again later eventually stockpiling a lot of coin. Another issue is when a buy order isn't filled and it then tries to sell a non-existent coin and then gets stuck in a loop trying to offload this coin.

Is there not logic to :

Have 1000 X coin in wallet.
Place sell for 1000 X coin.
Wallet now has 0 X coin.
Sell complete.
~do more things~

Am I missing something?

What are your strategies for coins like BC, that are changing extremly often?
I did some tests with the BlindSignal but wasn't very lucky since the price-changes are so high/often, that the bot stops trading after 2-3 trades.
blind singal plus overcome fee costs should still work with that, maybe add a dynamic drop loss to that. You can also look on the site for the RSI strategies

Just purchased the bot - so far it seems pretty cool

One quick question though, If my Bot Signal is at "Sell", and I want it to "Buy" how can I change that?

hey stephan!

could you add mintpal as supported exchange the reason is id really like to BlackCoin supported

and/or

if a supported exchange decides to add BlackCoin in the future could you please add support for it as soon as it does, i really see a lot of potential in this coin as it does not pollute like btc with mining

you can use cryptsy, which has blackcoin.
