Just unzip it and run HTS Launcher.exe.

I've have bought a licence and got the zip download but i cant find any instructions what-so-ever on how to install set up the software? Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Stephan, would it be possible to add the ability to clone a tradebot? I spend a tremendous amount of time setting up multiple bots with the same currency pairs to compare alternate indicator results. This would be a huge timesaver for me, particularly when working with cryptsy as there are so many different currency pairs. Even if it only cloned the currency pairs/indicators and not the indicator settings it would still be a huge help.

Another thing that I'd love to see is some way to commit amassed market data to local non-volatile storage. My testing data becomes better and better the longer I have the program running, this is particularly true in the case of some small market alt coins, but eventually the program crashes...usually after 20hrs or so. Usually when it crashes it points to dot.net framework issues, though once I saw a message about limited storage(I have 64Gb of ram and only 12 were used at the time). The crashes themselves aren't a huge problem, but it takes several hours of re-collecting market data before I can again work on backtesting some currency pairs. It'd be fantastic if I could create periodic save points for this data and not have to start recollecting it from scratch after each shutdown.

Here's a new and different issue. I got this message when creating a new bot was blocked:

"Something went wrong. Exception message: Could not validate license. Please check your internet connection and restart the software when the problem is resolved."

I'd already had it running for a few hours, so apparently the program is checking license validity multiple times during each session. This wouldn't be a problem if it did so accurately. Now I either have to shut the program down and lose the data I've collected or not create any more bots.

This one fixed itself after 20mins or so.

I am not sure if i can add that inside the interface itself. The insurances are only checked if the trade indicators are giving off a trade signal. So its near impossible to show there data inside the interface.

At the current moment the debug log shows the line you are searching for, but i will have a look if i can make/add a logbook to the insurance itself too. This can give some additional insight in what has happened during the trading/backtest/tuning. (i welcome any suggestions for a better insight)


Something else.... i am getting some questions about the hardware upgrade of the Haasonline main webserver. This changes will NOT impact the software or how it works. The primairy reason for the upgrade is only to serve your HTS at the start with more historical prices. At the moment we are limited to 26-27hours of data, but i am trying to expand this to 2 weeks of even 4 weeks while the system resources stays the same. This is something that will become visible at the next update because i will already double the 26-27hours. This will be step 1, step 2 is to get the 2 or 4 weeks of data inside.

As a small reminder: the role of the Haasonline main webserver is only to verify the licenses and to give out prices at the start so trading can start directly. Everything else is (and will remain) at your computer.

I'm considering buying the simple bot, how well does this work with cryptsy leaving it on 24/7. I'm seeing alot of different results that it doesn't work as it should?

I'm going to share my experience with this bot. I bought the simple trade bot many months ago and that bot was great. I even took the plunge and upgraded to the trade server as soon as I could. This was the worst mistake I can make. The trade server is just terrible. Since it's release I have tried to use it after each update. Each time I am disappointed. At first I was disappointed because the trade server had many less features than the simple trade bot. Now I'm disappointed because the bot just doesn't work as it should. I am going to show the trade log from last night:

According to the trade server 26 trades were executed. You'll notice that the first order is a buy even though I started the bot in the bought position meaning it should have sold first but what ever.

Now for the cryptsy log:
You will notice that the bot doesn't even check to see if they're open orders before it performs its next buy. I am even left with 2 open sell orders of 2500 DOGE meaning I have 5000 more DOGE than when I started. This is completely unacceptable. Sure it's my fault for letting the bot run overnight and not watching it, but I expect it to at least work better than the previous version which the trade server does not.

I'm having an issue where HTS will crash on starting after a Win7 x64 reboot (might also happen from cold start - haven't tested, PC is running mostly 24/7).

HTS is set to start automatically with Windows and I "exit" it manually before rebooting.

I get a .NET Runtime Error Event ID 1026:

Looks like it's missing a file, but then I can start it manually with no error ?!? Also, the error mentions .NET 4.0 but I have .NET 4.5 (4.5.50938) installed.

1) Yep I agree people will not share their configs but based on the types of questions and issues earlier in the thread it was fairly easy to see the bot was working however later seems people are having issues, This is no real issue for me, its all about learning but more recently the qestions and issues seem to be different.

I have confirmation on the display of 0 BTC inside the wallet. But nothing more. This is not a block for trading, the max-trade amount is not checked before a trade. For the rest i can not yet reproduce the posted problems yet. The given pairs seem to work and all ordering works. (i need to test a lot more btw)

Hi all, i have got a small progress report to share. It shows what we are working on here and what you can expect at the next update.

As most of you know the next update will be all about stability. So we are having a detailed look to the code again and based on this we try to add improvements to cover all the possible situation that anything could go wrong. At the same time we review the code and add small improvements to it.

Orders
Within the orderstack a small bug has been found. If a exchange is not connected or not working then when an order gets placed it will go wrong. The order does not get submitted and the orderlist returns empty the result is that software thinks the order is filled. Aka it switches coin position and registers a trade when its not suppose too.

We have found the cause of this and i can tell it has been solved. But because at normal usage this bug is not visible, so we did not push an update or it.

I can also tell the orderstack has been enhanced by a backup system that confirms the orders based on the wallet amount. So despite the bug that is fixed its becomes very unlikely this system will fall.

Price trackers
For the price trackers we have implemented not a lot of improvements. The price tracking itself goes very well with the exception of BTCChina. But i am talking it over with them to solve this and to get the LTC in it.

We may not have made much improvements to the price tracking, we did make some enhancements to it. At the current moment we read a price each minute and we use that price that we read. Well this is enhancement at the next update, because we will go over to a weighted price. A weighted price is almost exactly the same, but the difference it that 3 prices will be used to make 1 price. So on the INVISIBLE background we will be polling the prices each 20seconds. (in depth... EMA is used on the 3 prices to make the final weighted price)

Of course there is also a backup system in place for when the prices can not be read each 20seconds. In that situation we just fall back to the current price poll system.

The same kind of weighted prices will be used for intervals above 1 minute. For example, if you set a trade indicator to 10 minutes updates then the prices of the past 10minutes will be used (again EMA!) to calculated a weighted price. (again also here we use the last price at the moment)

The real-world impact of the weighted prices compared to the current system is very small. We will remain unique in trading with this bot and at the same time we get a little closer to the prices used by other websites. They seem to use weighted prices and i want you all to be able to reproduce those charts, or get even more close to it. (like i said earlier, i will prove the used calculation are 100% valid)

Trade-bots
The trade-bots itself are a very solid system so despite some error messages that could be better we did nothing more to them.

We did make some preparing to the trade-amount. At the current moment we use a fixed trade-amount. It works very good, but there is a request for more possibilities. So we are preparing ourselves for supporting All-in and Percentages (and any other suggestion in the future). I will NOT promise this for the next update yet.

Indicators
Some small improvements where made to make sure the configuration of the indicators remains reasonable and working. Nothing more because everything else works as expected.

For the next update i will be adding one indicator; this one is the Aroon indicator.

Cached prices/Backtest
First of all i can tell that you can expect to see that i will double the amount of prices read at the start of the software (after the update). This is possible because i am updating the webserver and because of speed improvements. This will have direct effect on the backtest, it will go up from 26-27hours to 52-54hours of data at the next update.

After this we will try to expand the backtest even more in the coming update. For this moment i can only tell i am doing tests on a full month of price data.
 

This is where we are at the current moment, with these changes. We are not done yet, so i can not give a release date. But i estimate it will be somewhere end next week.

Once this update is done we will be getting back to adding new features. I still have got a lot of cool and interesting things planned, but first things first.

What about BTC-e issue?

1. Most of the people will not share there results because of privacy reasons. And most of the happy users are silent because there is no reason to post anything. (you can see this pattern back in the entire topic, if cryptsy fails you read posts about cryptsy and not about the other exchanges)

2. Yes, just make sure Windows Vista or more recent is running and .NET 4.5 must be installed.

3. This software does NOT support mxcnow. We have tried to add support for them but its was proven to be impossible. Maybe its updated by now and possible, so its worth a look later on.

4. The poll at the website tells what exchange will be added next. personally i hope it will

Tip: If you want to play it safe.... you can go for the Simple license first and update later on to the Advanced one. Licence updates are fully supported. (get them a lot these days)

Thanks for the reply, thats good to know however I guess the last 2 questions can only be answered by Stephan. I will await Stephan's answer reagding the 2 exchanges before taking the plunge, in the meanwhile If anyone else can offer any insights, much appreciated. Thanks again

2: I'm running this on a windows2012 virtual machine (hosted on a vps)
3 an 4: I only trade at btc-e

I do have a bug (could be windows2012 problem as well) with the current webinterface, but the trade engine is working and making profit for me.

Phew   just finished going through 77 pages, I want to jump right in and get the advanced trade bot but over the last few pages there seems to be alot of people with issues. So I have 4 questions before purchase, if anyone can answer

1) Having read through the whole thread it seem this bot used to work and posts by people were mainly related to configurations but over the last few pages there seems to be alot of issues with the actual bot, therfore does the bot actually work in its current form and its an issue of people not being able to confgiure properly as was happening in earlier versions or are there really issues that need to be addressed.

2) Can this be used in a virtual machine

3) You mentioned that you are unable to make the bot work with mcxnow, therefore you have stopped working on it. Will you be still adding this exchange

4) Same as above but for the exchange Kraken

Does anyone have any experience with any other software on the above 2 exchanges in case this bot does not / or is not able to perform

Ummm another issue posted as I tried to submit my post 

to be honest you should say: between -100% and +100000000%

my loss the last month is about 60%

until now im not happy with HTS, only seeing troubles.

* having bought 3*trade amount in 1 hour on Cryptsy (making loss)!?

* losing track of BTCe market price and even trading on wrong market values!?

so until HTS is not fixed, count on big loss instead of profits.

* stillllll I do believe it will be fixed and profit will be possible in the future, but Stephan really has to take testing much more serious

yea stepan told us he is unit testing his shit but everyday more problems rise of nowhere. is there an opportunity to give you the license back und you refund us? really your software sucks quite hard in the last weeks.

Hard to say exactly. Haasbot licence is lifetime, the cards will be good for a few months and then you will need to sell them to get your ROI.
