I haven't tried cryptsy since the last update, but everything seems to be running smoothly on btc-e and cex.io with 0.9.8.2. Thanks Stephan, it's nice to see a dev that responds promptly to client complaints.

Small tip: Using the Windows Classic interface you can press "Buy now" or "Sell now". This will force the trade-bot to respond and it will show you if trading is working or not. (i am trading at Btc/Ltc on Cex.IO)

About the STB... i will have a look this eve if i can make it working again. But the general recommendation is just to move over to the new software. There is a donation license at the ready to make this possible for free (for the old users!) and using the Windows Classic Interface you have the same kind of interface again. Functional and technical the new software is better.

Small update released
An small update have been released to solve hopefully all the trading issues of Cryptsy and the recent ones of Bitstamp. Besides the API changes some minor things where done do. The new Aur and Nxt coins are added, the wallet shows how a total BTC amount of your wallet and the Windows Classic interface now supports setting up the API credentials.

As usual the update goes automatic. Just restart your software and you will be notified about the update.

Tests have shown all exchanges are fully operational again. But in rare cases the order tracking of Cryptsy will fail. We are looking still into this and if we found the case and solution then we will push another update. But because of the other issues we have already pushed this update.

The coming time i will spend most of my time on stability and durability of the software. I will put a temporary hold on the new features (except the web-login) until everything is stable as a rock.

Latest update seems to have nuked my setup. It seemed fine, but deleted all my api keys so I began adding them back in. Btc-e & cex.io went perfectly...then I tried cryptsy again(this has never worked) and everything went dark. Now nearly any interface selection results in the "something went wrong blah blah" message.

Edit: Deleted everything from directory save license file, extracted old version, and updated again. Everything works...but no apis. This time I added the cryptsy api key first.

It nuked that install too.

Done with cryptsy till this issue is addressed.

• In the past weekend i was backtesting a lot. I got a lot "Haasonline Trade Server has stopped working"
  From the last 10 crashes i made screenshots from the Windows problem details like "CLR20r3" , "APPCRASH" (kernelbase.dll), "System.OutOfMemoryException" if Stephan needs this.
  
  I see the memory footprint of HTS is high mostly over 1700MB. I think it leaks lots of memory on backtesting/autotuning (30+ times) and then crashes.
  Mostly after autosetup/autotune and the values are negative. Because haasbot.com is not caching all alt-coins(it should if you really want to support alt) i have to wait hours to start and building hours of track... (i prefer a week/month of backlog!). maybe add an api to HTS to add my own ticks from my own (tobuild)caching server?
  
• The profits of Cryptsy are totaly wrong in the tradelog, it shows 10% feecost in the tradelog!?
• A lot of time after a save and restart or a crash i loose all my tradebot settings
• when my trade amount is higher then my wallet (because of losses), it blocks trading and i lose even more money.
• on windows start, i was stuck in the updater. HTS was not running for hours, losing money
• lots of time in the debug i see HTS thinking it had a succesfull trade, after hours i found out and had to correct(change coin position) manually.
• today HTS pages are not parsing and get the #indicator.data fields(now its ok again)
• using the HTS api from my own scripts is resulting in a lot of refreshes/unwanted redirections when i check the website manually the same time
• simulation time should be the time of the moment it was of the simulated trade, now its the time of the simulation action. (i really want to compare it to the real market)
• At the moment i get no Cryptsy tracking at all:

Am i the only one with this Cryptsy problems?

Stephan, we have wonderfull features now, and if they worked stable they are very valueable. I hope you see its really time to put the next effort in fixing bugs and memory leaks. Also i hope the other customers agree to wait for new features in return for a stable release.

I just released an beta of the next update to solve the recent reported issues  . At this moment i am awaiting the test results to return to see if its all solved now. I hope this will happen within the next 24-hours.

About all the recent (in depth) questions... i will answer them all soon. I was a little occupied to solve the issues first.

so stephan whats up with you and your not working bot? any news on the last big issue?

I've been using this bot for a while. I love it, love the idea, love the concept. Haven't made any money off it yet, but I'll get it in time.

With that said, I have had nothing but problems from the get go. I picked this up a while ago when it was the STB on the old interface. The evolution to the web interface is awesome. The features you have built in here make it one of a kind. I want to upgrade but I am not sure if I can justify it yet. I have easily spent about 30 hours messing with indicators, bench marking messing with alt coins and trying to generate the highest return (as everyone else has I'm sure).

With all the messing with and the recent dip. Back testing on 9.7.0 yielded profitable results. The interesting part of it is, depending on my coin position at the beginning of the benchmark it would change the trade log result difference of $3000 over 26 trades. If my coin position was at 'sold' I would hit ~+$1500, with 'bought' it would be ~-$1350. I would re-create and screen shot, but I have lost the ability to benchmark.

Since 0.9.7.0...
-I have not been able to connect to any exchanges, (API keys are correct and confirmed)
-Bot doesn't save any settings upon program/computer restart. (No bots setup)
-Indicators show buy and sell signals, but back test produces a straight line and performs a buy or sell (Depending on coin position) right at the end of test. This is with any single indicator.
-Indicator graphs change after a benchmark, clicking a back period of time fixes the graph and puts it back into 'scope' of the indicator. It also seems the graph displayed after benchmark is of a different indicator?

Since before then...
-Can't get the server to work from any other device on the network. I changed the IP settings to the local static IP, opened port on firewall.

I've installed the bot to a new location and still can't get anything. I have watched the log viewer to see if that helps me with any of my problems. Even with 'debug' on I have no messages. Server running on win 7, admin rights.

Is anyone else having any of these problems? Has anyone been making any good BTC with this yet?

I am getting this error message currently on all exchanges... wtf.  also the old version is doing the same issue.

we are dealing now with a maybe functional or not functional API/tradekeys for cryptsy, maybe functional or not functional STb software where no one can prove if it is the website or the software,  many new updates with mostly following problems.

currently I have the same error message and even emptying cache, restarting bot is returning the same problrm

Hi Stephan, I have been silently following this thread for a long time. It's clear that you are putting an awful lot of time and effort into the development of this bot and I appreciate that and believe it has great potential, but as many people have commented, it is not worth the asking price yet because there are still some fundemental issues that drastically reduce profitability.

I really think MasterMark-Si has hit the nail on the head with two of his points. I do think the bot's charts are not averaging values correctly and maybe that is related to the frequency of price updates. And I have also noticed the delay in the MACD, this is pretty bad, it often means that the opportunity for profitability is long gone by the time the crossover signal happens. I know that there will always be a lag with MACD, I understand that this is how it works. What I am saying is if you compare your MACD with Bitcoin Wisdom's MACD for the same pair and the same parameters. Bitcoin Wisdom will display the crossover earlier whereas the bot will be consistently be later and the opportunity for profit will often be gone by then.

I hope you could look into these issues. You've done some good stuff with the last update but a few people have asked to stop adding new features now and go back to the fundementals, there is definitely work to be done there that could unleash the power of this bot, and we all desperately want to see that happen.

I have this exact problem - on a brand new install of the software. Now nothing works. Also the interface doesn't work on Internet Explorer, which has the largest market share of web browsers. There is also no settings for security / authentication on the web interface, which I would have thought would be an obvious necessity. I kinda wish I'd kept my bitcoins for another bot.

I'm really having my reservations about this bot. It seems to have so many problems - I wonder if it will ever be usable.
Just tried adding an api key from cryptsy and the all I get is "Something went wrong. Exception message:". Now it does this for any api update page. This isn't good.

first time here, so dont panic  

have some questions, but not about program working, because i think it's working just fine right now (only that in last update it erase all indicators).

first we should discuss more about your data collection, and how are they collected. i want to know on what bases are values collected; if I understand correct, bot is working on 1 minute and this is interval on which it send signal for buy or sell, but are the values for btc collected every second and from every second is calculated average value, or it's just value after every minute?
and how this effect on intervals of indicator for 10 or 15 minute? 1 value every 10/15 minute?

and about your discussion with g0re79 about different graphs in your bot and bitcoinwisdom etc.; I dont think that you have the point here, those sites are much better in tracking history than this bot (and this is in this downtrend very important!), and if all those sites show different values for average value in some intervals, than i think that your way is not so uniqe and different, but simply wrong. because as i can see, your bot collects maybe extreme values, and other sites want to show average to get smooth lines, which they should be. and that's why RSI & MACD are going crazy in this bot - for extrems, and in othes sites they are god. you will say get longer time; it's true, but not so long anyway. PPO is with delay, MA even worse, and ppl will lose their money because of this (they allready are because trend is down and settings are for this purpose wrong...)

second question: signals for buy / sell ? in all indicators are 100% = sell and 0% = buy?

third question: intervals of indicators...
RSI & co it's ok: over / under, but what about MA & co? normaly when the cross the line, but what is when they are set for 10 minutes? is bot selling interval for buy/sell for 10 minutes? if I combine this with fast RSI, in those 10 minutes he will wait for RSI to give signal and it will produce signal in first minute or in last minute; depends on both indicators?
or when they are crossing the line, this means that there is no signal (0%->100% & 100%->0%) and in this time (how long) there will be no trade?

4: I want to know exactly what box of ''use buy/sell signal'' means? it means that this indicator will be consider only in buying or selling activity?
this is important, because i think that we should have 2 different strategy for time when btc is going upo and when btc is going down. and with ticking those boxes this could be possible; one MACD for uptrends when it will be only for producing selling signals (and wont be consider for buying) and one MACD for down...
and in this point I would like to know how to set up with this setting indicator ''procent price change''. I want that it will look just for that I can set how many % the price will go up when the bot will sell the coins, and I dont care how much it will drop/raise for next buy? is this with ticking only ''use sell signal'' and leaving box for ''use buy signal'' empty?

5: it's better to start server in admin rights? because in user it wont update...

6: showing history... this is useless. it should be at least 1 day; 2 days optimum (now i leave bot working (not active) and print and analyze indicators for 1 day) 1 week would be ideal, but with larger scale... those 30 minutes are big joke...

7: in insurances and indicators are both price change, are their function different?

8: autotune i wont even comment...

Same here, switching to older (non web based) interface helped. Furthermore I found out that not only Cryptsy had issues, but there are also unfilled orders left on Cex.IO and BTC-e.. As this bot have huge potencial, until it fully works its useless. I probably switch to Gekko for BTC-e and Kraken and will make some extra simple bots just for trading purely on price change on alts by myself.

If there is rollback, why my unfinished order is still on exchange for hours

same problem here. restarting the bot doesnt solve the problem. so the bot is not working at all right now.
