We cannot control if our wallet is being hacked. I have already experienced this when I noticed that my wallet has ETH deposited in there and that one of my token was being withdrawn. What I did in order to save the rest of my tokens, I withdrawn the ETH in order for the hacker not to withdrawn the rest of the tokens there.Then in a hurry I transferred my tokens to another wallet. So in my opinion it is better to check regularly our wallet because we cannot be sure if there are still tokens in their. In this crypto business there is not security of the wallets that we have because there are lots of strategy that hackers offer to. So maybe in order to save our holds tokens maybe there is a need to regular update on the wallets.

If you guys using myetherwallet, I suggest to don't copy all your private key, just split the private key and maybe you can typing manual at least 5 digit your private key. Its will make your address more save from the hacker who will steal the private key via last word that you already copy.

Maybe those who use online wallets like MyEtherWallet.
When he entered the website, it was worth entering the Pishing website, then Private KEy which he entered was recorded by the hacker and the results were: Daaaammmnnnn !! Your balance is out!

As an alternative to hard/offline/cold wallets, adding a simple 2FA to your accounts will prove to be beneficial.

Authenticators (mostly time based) had proven to be an effective extra layer of security to minimize our accounts and wallets being compromised. And i strongly believe that everyone should be using it. Not only that it is easy to install, its usage is free too.

you can secure your wallet as long as you dont expose any information about it, dont click any suspicious links and log in your wallet. you must have a storage wallet which is no one knows about. or maybe you should use hardware wallet just to make sure.

If you use mew you should get a hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano S. or use Metamask to be safe. but only I recommend a hardware wallet. Another thing is do not store your personal address or password in email, internet, or any cloud storage. because it can be hacked. then your details will leak.

Due to my experience using hardware wallet is the safest, it can't be hacked, it rare to hear users complaining about hardware wallet hacking, my advise for you is to get hardware wallet.

NEVER STORE YOUR PRIVATE KEY ONLINE... STORE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS ON PAPER OR COLD STORAGE.... that has been the age long safest advices
