Doesn't sound believeable at all, why would they return it?? must have struck a deal or something. Maybe they stole 20 million, asked to return 17 million for not reporting to the police, 3 mil profit...
Any source for that news ? site that trusted where i can read the news about it ? Cause i dont just trust what everyone said at internet.

Not all of the news is true because there are so many unresponsible people make fake news for any reason. So believe only trusted news source.
no one will trust you if you do not give a site or video that is clear because many people do not believe in all that people make on the internet. if I do not believe hackers want to return that much money because he will be rich if not return it.

Might be an inside job and the coindash has tracked the hacker so that person was forced to send it back because his life would be in danger,or he is just testing the vulnerabilities of coindash,or he is just trippin around because he want to try if he can find a way to steal those ethereum,but this is really something new,very unusual because if you steal that amount of ethereum you could live and buy anything you want.
Whether it is true or not , I always wondered how those hacker will manager to cashout one day . The beauty of crypto world even tho it is anonymous it is still can be tracked . $17 Million is a hell lot of money to cashout without raising not only 1 flag but hundreds of flags .
Yeah I think so, but hackers can finds ways to do that. Because if they are not confident enough they will not hack that huge amount. This might be true but again never believe on this unless there a final news coming from the exchanges or what who receive that amount.
Hackers really dont returning any hacked informations,it might be an inside job and the people behind the hack were tracked by the coindash so the hacker was forced to sent it back to coindash.Inside job will be morelikely in this case,guiltiness would be the reason why he did really return the hacked ethereums from the coinsdash.

Yeah, any statement should be backed with proofs. But I'm really surprised that there are many cases when hackers return stolen crypto... I'm glad that there are a lot of kind and honest people but I wonder what drive them to do it?

This is the first time I have heard of such a news an hacker returning the stolen volume of ethereum. In the same time several such hacks have taken place where users have lost their holdings and stand bare handed.
I've saw this type of thing happen before, a person got a bunch of NXT then returned a portion of it and disappeared.

Now this is unlikely. If I were this person, why would I, in my right sense, give back what I worked hard for. Yes, I got the money by stealing it. But that’s the point, I’m a crook! I steal stuff! Now why the change of heart, right? I’m pretty sure there is a strong reason behind this gesture and it most probably is "underground."

Thanks for sharing the source. As the other users i was thinking this was a fake new because just can't find the source but now looks legit.
This is a weird act. Is hard to find honest people now days and this can mean only two things:
1.- The hacker did it for fun, he was a white hat hacker, and for sure he helps to fix the vulnerability.
2.- The hacker realized there was a problem with his perfect hack, and he decided to give the money back before hit jail.
Any way, he did it and was an honest act. We need more people like him in the world!

the hacker is confused, for what that much money he keeps. whereas we all know. that this is decentralized
all connected transactions form a chain
so tracking will be easy when the coins are exchanged

It is quite shocking and impractical for a hacker to return that big of an amount. There must be a very very very good or life threatening reason for him to do that. I mean, why go through all the troubles of stealing this amount and then just suddenly return it? It just doesn't make sense! Unless this person is already rich and would just like to make a point that it is possible to steal people's money/alts/coins in this system. If this news is true, then he had certainly made his point.

This is similar to the official news from coindash. Modern hackers have become real Jedi of modern times, such noble gestures compel me to show respect for them. may anyone be able to explain to me, whether the article is official from coindash or not?
I'm not so sure of the truth of this news. It didn't sound a reasonable move for hackers to return such a huge sum of money. There aren't news links to prove the truth of this news.
