I hope that the videos are still available for everyone to watch eventually and they will be reinstated that is the most important part here. Obviously hacking is bad and the views it got is horrible because it got views thanks to all of his hard work, but the thing is if he could get his account back but no videos at all, he would be losing a ton of money.

Youtubers make a lot of money from old videos as well, of course shooting a new video would give you a great new income and that is why they keep making new videos but the reality is the fact that old ones are not stopped watching suddenly, they still get views and if his videos are deleted and doesn't come back he will lose all of that income. Hackers really do try to make as much money as possible with the stupidest methods.
AFAIK, if all the videos got deleted or made into private then the channel will lose the monetization feature which is the thing needed to make money from youtube ads.Hope the videos can be recovered if the channel is big enough and got so much of support from other influencers in the same field.

This hacking incidents lower the trust of some people to invest, and try cryptocurrency.
This hackers are really selfish for doing that, cause they're looking for potential buyers out of the million of subscribers to invest and try their project, though this would work for people who has knowledge about crypto, but the effect of it to the community would be long term. Sure, we can say that they manage to achieve their motive to have someone try their coin, but the majority who would think that this crypto community is a dark side would rise. I've heard in twitter that they're mad about the crypto community for hacking their "Idol".

There have been a series of youtube hacks and as the extortion for holding the accounts is less likely as youtube would make a prompt action on complaint, hackers have started indulging into crypto based scam attempt. The surprising thing is how these popular social media have put all the blame to the users and did nothing to stop such hacks from their side.

This problem should be fixed inside add other factors of security so it will not easier for professional hacker to hack someones account .

Hackers always benefiting with this hacks because of posting of fake giveaway or project promotion like what happen to ako si dogies account this one should stop and the one who can do that is the YouTube owner they need upgrade base one people need in security .

But given your suggestion for them to upgrade their security, it will be nonsense as this hackers will always find their way to do these things. They're called hackers for a reason. The best way to defeat these hackers is to capture them, the pictures of them are recorded, then this will resolve the case.

The channel is back and based from the latest upload about the hacking, they've contacted YouTube about the incident and YouTube has helped them accordingly to retain the account.

The videos were not deleted but it's that the perpetrator has made most of the videos into private.

LOL, it reminds me of the twitter hack recently, when something is too good to be true we need to think again, by the way, all of these hackings show that twitter, youtube still got problems.
The problem with these issues of scammed victims are greed which has ruined many lives. With the bogus promised from these hackers thousands still believe on them, what a shame to those who can't read between the lines. I pretty doubt those victims as those who can really read between true figures and unrealistic ones, scammers are clearly  known for their fake promises.

Hacking seems to be normal these days, from twitter to YouTube and even Instagram were hacked before. Hackers attacks those influential people to get the attention of many users to try and invest in their projects.  Only those who are not aware in crypto and who didn't do research will get scammed. Some users who got hacked should also notified instantly that their accounts are hacked in any means as some of their followers can be a victim if the hackers provide a concrete details that may motivate their followers to invest.

This is not a new incident where hackers deliberately use YouTube to cheat...
There have been several instances where hackers have used YouTube accounts and used names of influential people to attract interest, just like a horrendous incident some time ago where hackers stole accounts of influential people and made fake giveaways. we have to take care of ourselves and don't be tempted by offers that don't make sense.

Ohh no not again with this hackers, I just hope nobody fall for this video yet, it is very difficult to fight internet hackers, they keep developing new ways to scam and make people suffer from their ruthless behavior, YouTube authorities better swing into action immediately to help protect users.
yes, seeing this matter so concerning, crypto's reputation is tarnished again by the scamers out there who are completely hungry for crypto passion. If you take a closer look, they are targeting YouTube channels which have millions of followers. I personally have absolutely no interest in viewing the video, just attaching it based on the screenshot of the photo in this thread.

The latest hacking scandal in the Philippines right now. AkosiDogie, A famous Filipino Streamer/YouTuber that focuses on vlogging and gaming contents on his youtube account got hacked a few hours ago. All of his video contents where deleted and was replaced entirely by a project promotion named GEMINI.

After the twitter hacking scandal from past few weeks ago, Hackers now are targeting youtube accounts. It's my 2nd time seeing this kind of news that thousand/million subscriber accounts are getting hacked for the sake of promotion of projects. We know that this wouldn't bring a good publicity about the promoted project, I'm thinking why would the project team use hacked account to promoted their projects.

His youtube account: https://www.youtube.com/user/pistol1

Very old method of scamming which exists here for months or years already, and I don't think anyone really fall into this shit scams anymore and this is more often happening all over the world. But at the end the channel will be terminated for violation and that creator will lose his years of hardwork.

Okay this certain Youtuber become like a sudden trend in my news feed when I opened my Facebook recently. I thought it was just like the common hack that happens and they would just post random craps claiming that they hacked the account. Aren't these hackers just a bit foolish to do this?
This just would make the investors trust less though, because pretty much the subscribers would be aware that the content of their favorite youtube is gone for good.
Only thing to worry about is that there might be someone posting that channel in a random platform and claiming that they have many subscribers to make them less suspicious to new people.

And since the public now know that this account was hacked and replaced by questionable project, I don't think they will trust this project at all.
Because if they are resorting to this kind of promotional strategy, it means, they are willing to do fraudulent activities in the long run.
This will create bad image instead of promoting their platform to this YouTuber's followers.
Only naive buyers will patronize this kind of project, which is blatantly ruining someone else's social media platform.

that's sure, maybe they thoughif in this way they can attract public attention, especially for their project investment sensation. even though in my opinion this way will not bring a positive impact either for their project or for an investment sensation. it will be the opposite. It's sad to hear scamers doing stupid things like this. and what I'm most worried about is the bad image about crypto, not about their project.

The hackers are eyeing for the next rally and it is not a big surprise that scammers are trying their best to take advantage against innocent people, but what surprises me is that how come they are able to target users with huge following in youtube, the twitter hack happened because the hackers were able to get hold of the back end tool but what is with youtube hacks.

We know that this wouldn't bring a good publicity about the promoted project, I'm thinking why would the project team use hacked account to promoted their projects.
None of the legit projects will be using hacked accounts, i doubt whether these are legit projects.

Hackers doing this though, won't their accounts eventually get frozen when found out, which is fairly quick? I mean, they've got to be putting out all their referral codes on those videos, so all it takes is 24 hours, Youtube reports and freezes it and reports to Gemini, and then those accounts are all confiscated anyway.
This is probably what happened and what the hacker tends to do. The account of AkosiDogie (The hacked account) is recovered, restored, and given back to the real owner. It didn't take more than 24 hours for it to recover. The referral thing might be the goal of the hacker since he knows that it won't last long for the real owner to recover the account. It just somehow gives a little bit of negative image to cryptocurrency because I've seen some comments that are giving hate speeches about crypto and most likely some clueless people will think it's true.

Cryptocurrency addict | Invest at your own risk.
I have seen this incident many times and in my opinion it is not for promotion but they seem to want to commit fraud. If they do promotion it will certainly spoil their project name. And also in my opinion, this actually causes people to hate crypto

I think they use hacked accounts since it has an active followers or subscribers the bad thing about that is it's just they might get scam by the project but also it will result of bad impression about cryptocurrency and more people who don't understand the cryptocurrency will misinterpret all the cryptocurrency. Well about the project are they proven scam already? or maybe they just bought the account not knowing that it is hacked.

Most of youtube channel owners, that lost their channel and on which fake giveaway and etc are promoted, installed infected software by themselves. Again, everything is connected with money. Channel owners, receives an  invitation to promote something. To be able to know more about the promotion, they need to run or open a file. That is it. The problem is not in hackers, but in people who dont think much about their protection.

That's really bad, building an youtube with subscribers close to 5million isn't a easy task. As YouTube is a centralised platform the user can recover the channel providing perfect data to the YouTube support team. Why these hackers are getting into such idiotic activities, because people are much aware of the current market situation. Also everyone know how to find the legitimacy of a project. Through such extreme activities promoting a project doesn't get back rewards, but it ruins the true value of the project.
