Looks like a solid project, isnt it what electroneum is trying to do, hadron looks more focussed and composed even without raising any funds, that is great.

What is the maximum number of coins there is going to be and can you use asics with this thru browser

Long answer: While not technically an ASIC, an Nvidia Volta most probably outperforms any commercially available processor for compatible deep learning computations.  If you want to try a Volta for Hadron alpha mining, please tell us how it does!  (And then send it to us!)

Are you saying Hadron can be mined using GPU? Via the browser? Or is it ASIC/GPU-resistant like Nimiq claims to be? (at least that's how I understand the information from Nimiq, I might be wrong)

Yes, HADRON coins can be mined using a GPU in your browser if you are running a modern browser like Chrome in a well supported OS like Windows 10.

Our code is GPU accelerated, but can also run without a GPU.

We are running useful AI computations in a browser, not repetitive cryptographic hash puzzles.  That gives our mining inherent value to miners and to society, in general.

Thanks for your excellent question!

Thanks for your excellent answer! That's great to know that GPUs are supported, I must say, I really love the way you're lining up the initial mining and the overall fairness of the mining process. Really excited about this project, and have my home computers lined up for Monday Smiley Hopefully I get to be one of the lucky alpha miners!

Hey, I just wanted to inform you that the german translation on your website is full of errors and generally not written very well. I'm not trying to hate. Just wanted to give some constructive criticism as I recently discovered your project and found it to be extremely interesting. If you need some help or counseling regarding the german translation of the website or whitepaper, please contact me (I'm a german native speaker).

Greetings from Switzerland Smiley

what is going on in this thread? why everybody has given their computer details? Is this for mining trials? Am I missing something?

Yes. Alpha mining begins jan 15th, in order to opt-in you need to specify your computer and browser details. Please read more in the OP!

Thanks for the information. I am not a IT guy. So I am not familiar with mining. Now I regret I did not learn that. I really hope the project is successful and its pity I cannot participate. Good luck all.

The point of the project is to make mining accesible for everyone. I would definitely sign up, go for it man. It is browser based so you will have no problems.

Shame I missed this topic when it was created but I'm still very excited to have found it relatively early. Really can't wait to get started, hope to get a chance! I'm genuinely interested to be a part of the project and community. I've been a tech and gaming journalist for around 20 years now. A few years ago crpyto caught my eye but it wasn't until early last year that I got more and more involved. Truly, I'm in it more for the tech and its potential than anything else. I would love to be involved in this project from the alpha onwards.

Here is the gear I would be using:

PC Very decent gaming rig
OS: Win 10 pro
CPU: Intel i7 3770
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980Ti
RAM: 16GB RAM
Browser: Chrome, Edge, Opera

Laptop Alienware M14X R2
OS: Win 10 Pro
CPU: i7 3610QM
GPU: Nvidia 650M
RAM: 8GB
Browser: Chrome, Edge, Opera

Mobile Xiaomi Mi A1
OS: Android One (7.1.2)
Model: 4G Global Version
CPU: Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953)
