On This day, A legend was born in 1975. He gave us Financial Freedom. He created Bitcoin and this forum too. This event surely deserves a thread. I just wanted to say Happy Birthday, Satoshi, on your 48th Birthday. We are too busy these days, and sometimes we forget such things. Maybe you are watching us. Maybe not. Where ever you are, Stay safe and healthy! Happy Birthday Again!
To be honest I first learned about it today Satoshi Nakamoto is only 48 years old and it's his 48th birthday. It's pretty funny though.  Because till now no one knows who this Nakamoto is and where he was born. I am very sad to see such article in wikipedia. If anyone knew Satoshi Nakamato's correct information it would have been pinned on this forum long ago. However, I don't see any justification to take pride in publishing such funny and fake stories here.
op is a new user and I think he is new to this forum as well as knowing about Bitcoin. And he got this information from an article on Google or other sources to find the creator of Bitcoin. Google has thousands of blogs/articles on a topic where each article writer has put different information.  Someone presents his article with false information to attract attention to his article to get more traffic and more revenue. So nowadays it is becoming difficult to trust any information from Google. I think the op meanwhile believed this information and happily created a topic about it to get some merit since there was no topic about satoshi birthday  Huh
Maybe you are correct. But the op should have done better research before posting on such a topic. The op probably realizes now that he misinformed it.  So he is not giving any kind of reply here. He should lock this topic.  Because this is not an informative topic and it is creating a kind of spamming here. Or the moderator should lock it.  Because this topic is promoting wrong information

Satoshi is anonymous and his birthday is also anonymous. Nobody exactly knows the actual birth date of the supreme developer who created a revolution in the form of Bitcoin. I think he kept his identity hidden due to privacy concerns. If anyone knows who actually Satoshi is then it will create adverse circumstances for the great programmer.

I also believe that Satoshi had some friends who helped him in creation of Bitcoin. In other theory it was mentioned that Satoshi was not a single person but a name chosen by a group of developers who had same intentions about this amazing technology. That's why I believe that nobody will ever know the actual birth date of Satoshi. I believe that the day he was born is the most auspicious day of this century. That's the day when a great mind was born who created an innovation that was unimaginable in past. Thanks to Satoshi for creating Bitcoin. If you are still on this forum than I congratulate you a happy birthday in advance.

I don't think that's the exact birthday of Satoshi Nakamoto and we know nothing about his information. The name Satoshi Nakamoto could be use to make some people think that Bitcoin is created by an individual named Satoshi Nakamoto and some people think it is the bame of a group or an organization who created Bitcoin. For me, the birthday I will use to celebrate the Birthday of the creator is the day that Bitcoin is created.

We can't celebrate his birthday as Satoshi's identity is unknown. But it can be a symbolic day. In my opinion it's more likely to be May 4th than April 5th. And it's not likely to be October. See what I did here? Grin
Whoever you are and whenever you were born, thank you for what you did, and happy birthday Satoshi.

Many religious bodies claimed that their founders were born on a specific date and these days become sacred. Just like the Christians believe that Jesus was born on the 25th of December and Easter was the period he died and was resurrected. Since Satoshi is unknown, bitconers can decide to adopt a day as his birthday if it is relevant (birthdays are not important to me, it's just like any other day). That day should be used to engage in awareness about Bitcoin and funds can be raised for certain humanitarian activities. That should be our gifts to him because he loved equality and giving. If today is his assigned birthday, I say Happy Birthday to one of the most selfless and meek personalities.
but we are not a religious group, and if you ask me, I would rather celebrate the day Bitcoin was created(since it would make so much sense) than to celebrate an alleged birthday of an unknown person who purposely hide his identity from everyone.
Absolutely mate you are right it seems that it's better to celebrate in the day when Bitcoin is created or else we can celebrate the anniversary of bitcointalk.org  because it will make sense rather than celebrating the birthday of Satoshi Nakamoto and we all know that he/she or they is/are anonymous because we don't know if Satoshi Nakamoto is 1 person or a group of people so in fact that we can not say that April 5 is the birthday of the creator.

Happy Birthday, Satoshi Nakamoto!

On This day, A legend was born in 1975. He gave us Financial Freedom.
It is true that a group or person named Satoshi Nakamato created Bitcoin and gave us financial freedom. But none of us know the exact information about who Satoshi Nakamat is. So where do you know a birth year and country of birth for Satoshi Nakamato? And how can you trust information from any article via google where you are a bitcoin user and know about bitcoin's history lol  Grin Please don't spread such fucking false information

Satoshi didn't create the forum as we know it, and he never made a single post on Bitcointalk. The forum's original domain changed twice until it finally became Bitcointalk.org. Satoshi was active in the initial forum on sourceforge.net. After that, the forum moved to bitcoin.org. I think it wasn't until 2011/12 that it finally became Bitcointalk. Satoshi was long gone by then.

Although we are busy with various activities, it is never forgotten that Satoshi Nakamoto is an invisible person or group whose identity no one knows. It seems you are a close friend of Satoshi Nakamata. And you were sitting next to him when he made bitcoins. So you know about his personal life lol  Grin You enjoy her birthday and organize a birthday party lol Cheesy

So now the unknown identity of the creator of bitcoin has a birthday, I thought the whole reason for the secrecy of his personal information was to avoid all recognition of his personal life to the world as he would be a center of the discussion and attention as the inventor of one the greatest thing that has ever happened to mankind. Satoshi nakamoto's birthday you posted might just be some random date formulated to actually acknowledge his wonderful contribute in his efforts to creating this wonderful innovation BITCOIN. But with all that been said, it would have been nice to actually wish a happy birthday to NAKAMOTO for letting us know how we have been financially enslaved by the banks and their big policies.

Whoever he is or whatever birthday date is associated with his name, his name is a household name in bitcoin and should be celebrated every single day of using bitcoin. Legends like him are celebrated every day, not just on their birthdays, especially in this case, where his exact date of birth is unknown. As long as bitcoin exists, we will continue to celebrate him and thank him for making humanity's life a little efficient.

In keeping with the obvious desires of Satoshi to remain anonymous, it is not advisable to speculate on things like his birthdate, nationality, age, identity etc.

We could simply associate anything about Satoshi to Bitcoin, which would mean he or she was born to us when Bitcoin was and they would live as long as Bitcoin does, which I hope is infinity.

Satoshi's birthday happens to fall on the same date that the U.S. government made it illegal for U.S. citizens to own gold ub 1933. The date is definitely not his real birthday, rather a message or a highlight of a day where liberties were violated to trap citizens inside the depression by banning their ability to buy the only thing that offered a chance to protect their financial positions from the depression.

We don't know who is satoshi and there is no way to know when an unknown person was born. I guess you have taken that date from the misleading information reported on Wikipedia's article.

Anyone who wants to know where that date comes from can read the article published on coindesk.
How Can Satoshi Nakamoto Have a Birthday? The Significance of April 5

I scrolled through posts and was surprised no one mentioned the answer. I missed yours before I posted. Gj Smiley

It would be rather silly if someone going out his way to keep himself anonymous through software, sleeping patterns, asymmetric cryptography, ect. would feel like using his actual birth date in a profile on the internet.

I personally take that information as fabricated by satoshi himself to keep people away from his true personal information and identity. That being said, since we are certain satoshi is a human being, that means he indeed has a birthday and I would not mind if this community could find an agreement on when it would be the most suitable time of the year to celebrate it.  Wink

In many ways I see reasons why this thread shouldn't exist on any board as there isn't any factual evident to the noted events in this thread.

We have question of gender?
If Satoshi Nakamoto is a single individual or a name of some organisation that existed and are now anonymous?
How do you assign a birthday and even age to someone or some group that you don't even know?

Good enough you know the date is alleged and so are the games of everyone who dares to include it on the forum and many other online registration out there. You never can tell until there is a document to prove. For someone that cares about privacy and anonymity, this is just another act to elude identification and as you can tell, Satoshi Nakamoto is best at it.

We should ne careful not to conceive a wrong idea to make it true.

I feel like I remember reading about this forum's birthday event but haven't found the source of the post I meant. or maybe my memory is wrong. I hope someone can help me with my question.

Did you mean 10th Anniversary art contest event by any chance? You can find it here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/10th-anniversary-art-contest-5193860

well this is true. thanks for sharing the link to the event. I hope there is the same event about this. maybe we can't celebrate a birthday for Satoshi because no one knows for sure when his actual birthday is. but I think celebrating a birthday for the bitcointalk Forum he founded could also be a tribute to the founder himself (a symbol of respect for the founder). and I hope Theymos do it again fun event like in that link. although I'm not sure I can do anything about art. but yeah I want to be part of the event if it's held again.
